It's pretty ugly but here you go. As I said it's not completely finished, I still need to install the right size meter then I was going to use epoxy to insulate and secure everything.
I used stripboard to make my battery holder and was able to use it to make my connections to the caps, pulldown resistor and zener diode.
For the jumper side I just soldered tabs onto stripboard and built up the traces between them, then just epoxied it in place. Works great and low profile.
Temporary .36" meter until my replacement .28" one gets here.
