Welcome back!back to evil me
Today was "one of those days". You know the one I'm talking about, The one that makes you yell out loud " STOP THE WORLD, I WANT TO GET OFF!!" In any case, the cherry on the cake was finding out my Tab 521 must've had some liquid seep in the 510 so now it isn't working like it should. I turn it on and get a reading....before I put an atty on it Time to get a new one, what are you folks recommending?
You can use this MilkMan Eliquid
It is frustrating. Getting both accurate and longevity in one is something that I have not foundToday was "one of those days". Is that shorter up top from a spent mini?Dot mods are 13mm if you have one of those for reference... if not I can show you the difference in 9.5 and with the dot mod... will be between

Looks very similar and awhile back i posted when I found that they fit great and have a recess that covers the 510 nut
I've seen pics of a ultem BB with USB port, several pages back. About the price of two BAM mods.wonder if any modders make boro tank compatible mods
not much room to expand, beyond panels etc, with the billet boxes

if you remove the battery first and open it up, then using rubbing alcohol and q-tips or paper towels, you can likely remove all liquid from the inside, and once together again it will likely work just fine unless some circuit was hurt from the liquidToday was "one of those days". 3f has been dragging on my order for the 2 a-tanks.My last order was placed on the 20th and i got it on the 29th. Seems to take just as long in the US as it does coming from another country. I think that's crazy. China to us 3 days, New York to North Carolina 4 days. Like wtf

Very much appreciated advice, I thought about doing that. I may still do it later but for now, I'll just drink the alcohol and buy another ohm tester.....Just kidding with that last part, I just need to finish painting wife's kitchen and if she doesn't have anything else on the list (very unlikely) I'll clean the ohm tester.if you remove the battery first and open it up, then using rubbing alcohol and q-tips or paper towels, you can likely remove all liquid from the inside, and once together again it will likely work just fine unless some circuit was hurt from the liquid
I cant see the procedure taking more than 15 mins if you go slow
rubbing alcohol evaporates quickly and does not really leave behind any residue and I use it all the time for cleaning electronics, as well as the 510 connectors on all my mods
cant hurt to at least try it, no?
Honestly, the SXK USB version really looks to be worth it if you don't mind waiting. They also have some green ones!
The question is: Buy the Fawkes for nearly $300, or the SXK "grape" for a bit over $100

Cons of SXK:
Waiting
No hybrid drip tip besides JMK
Pros:
USB port
Everything else will work with it
PRICE

I'm glad to help. I've never taken one of those apart, but have a fair amount of experience with electronics repair, so if you get stuck or need help, please dont hesitate to ask and I will do my best.Very much appreciated advice, I thought about doing that. The availability of the new SXK BB with the USB port is both good and bad timing for me.Honestly, the SXK USB version really looks to be worth it if you don't mind waiting.

...No hybrid drip tip besides JMK...
A few days ago I sent a message via the JMK site to inquire if the hybrid threaded drip-tips for the rev4 BB's will work with the SXK BB clone, and he said that many buyers have reported back that they do without issues, and that if for some reason it did not fit my rev4 BB, that I could return it no problem, but return shipping costs would be at my own expense...
I've not been a fan of metal drip tips since they usually get too hot for me, but this is still something on my radar for later on.
I would not be opposed to a metal threaded drip tip for th BB, but with a wide open inner bore of ~5mm, that had an outer sleeve of maybe 2-3mm of delrin, teflon, ultem, PEI, PMMA or acrylic, but have not yet seen one that grabs me and also costs less than $50...but I am wide open to suggestions, and need to find one that I can buy without having to go through FaceBook.
JMK, Enushi and Ohman seem to be the only sites I have found for any of this, and the selection is limited.
Ohman will do a custom color combo from the looks of it. You might want to inquire about that. He does acrylic ones I think.A few days ago I sent a message via the JMK site to inquire if the hybrid threaded drip-tips for the rev4 BB's will work with the SXK BB clone, and he said that many buyers have reported back that they do without issues, and that if for some reason it did not fit my rev4 BB, that I could return it no problem, but return shipping costs would be at my own expense...

Why not the hardware section? Stuff moves pretty fast there sometimes. But I understand if going for a wider turn out. Thanks for the info. I will send a message to see what options are available.
Gonna be a while since I just basically dumped most of my "emergency fund" to buy the kit I referenced in an earlier post today.
I have a few non-vape items that have to go up on eBay before the end of the week now to replenish the money.
But it's all good, and I need to de-clutter a little bit anyway.
Because he said non-vape itemsWhy not the hardware section? Stuff moves pretty fast there sometimes. But I understand if going for a wider turn out.

No worries.Ahhh misread that. Sorry.
Speaking from my own experience, whoever said "war is hell" didn't have to move a household (lock, stock and barrel) after 35 years! The amount of accumulated stuff is mind boggling ! Good luck with your move.No worries.
Mostly spring cleaning and downsizing as we plan to sell our house soon and do not want to have to move stuff that is not often used or has been replaced with newer, and I tend to be one of those people that never throws anything away, and have held it long enough that now it has some decent resale value...
Yea, thank you.Speaking from my own experience, whoever said "war is hell" didn't have to move a household (lock, stock and barrel) after 35 years! The amount of accumulated stuff is mind boggling ! Good luck with your move.
Looks good to me. I just cracked open an ice-cold can of Budweiser.Poolside chilling in the Texas heat!
