Oh! I had 8 years on Tuesday. My birthday prezzy to myself 8 years ago. Now I admit I took a few puffs off my daughters cigarettes here and there when she would come over, for I think maybe 6 months or so after my quit date. So not sure if I should count that or not.

Boy, was it nasty too!

Either way, hooray for me!

Oh shit, now I can't remember if it was 2012 or 2013 LOL shocking

I thought I wanted a cigarette one time, the day my son had his wreck, but I took about two or three hits off it, and told my husband, I don't want that damn nasty thing. I don't count that, and if your case was similar, you shouldn't count it either. <3<3<3

I messed up the date in this post, I actually wrote on 08/26/2017
I walked out of the doctor's office on 10/26/2016 after being told I had to have a stent put in my leg due to smoking and threw my cigarettes in the garbage!
I haven't touched one since!

8-19 was 8 years. i took one puff off a cig about 2 weeks in and it almost made me throw up. now i can't believe i went around stinking like i did (and feeling like death warmed over). my goal now is to go to 0 nic over the next year. i'm at 1 MG now. still like my clouds and flavor.....

I have been vaping zero nic for over a year now and still have not touched or craved a cigarette.

Congratulations on five years!

Mine is easy to remember. It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2012 when I had my last cigarette with morning coffee. I planned to get through the long holiday weekend with overindulgence in food, wine, family and friends, and then get serious that Saturday, so I would have Sunday as a buffer, so I wouldn't have to go to work Monday in sad blue withdrawal. After that last stinky stick with morning coffee, it was a long, hard day of battling the demon tobacco, vaping my brains out, but when I woke up on Sunday morning I knew I was a nonsmoker forever, and I felt fine.

It is staggering to think about it that way. For us Americans, that is 5 POUNDS of tar, can you imagine that in your lungs, omg!!!! Think of what 5 pounds of hamburger meat looks like. Oh for heaven's sake, @DogMan, that is a helluva point to make. I feel nauseous just thinking about it.

Good on you and all the rest of us who've avoided even 1 pound. :eek: :vino:

Don't worry, @gadget! I work with a guy who forgot (for three years!) how old he was. I corrected him, then Mr. Skeptical had to sit there and do the math in his head to realize and admit I was right. He'd been thinking he was a year older for that whole time!

@gadget! - Math wasn't one of my better subjects either at school until I did book keeping , inventory and receivables at the Dental Lab I worked at for 10 years- lol- needed to know my numbers and math there.
Still congrats on 5 year Vaperversary- so awesome to quit smoking by vaping for so long!
