Story Time with Delion and Uncle @Sigmardin

Title: The Waffle BS'er meets the Vaping Community

So I was going through my facebook groups one night, just skimming here and there and doing my normal thing of entering contests and so forth, when I saw a up for raffle the following images



The whole raffle was for a guy who was in the hospital and his mom was raffling off his vaping gear, to help cover some of the surgery expenses as he had not one but two strokes and something leaked down into his spine or something along those lines, so it was a very heart touching story and never thought anything about it, so I tossed my name in for two number out of the 50 each spot was 10 dollars, I got numbers 29 and 44. I almost did not do what I normally do and that is take screen shots of stuff but I did including where my name was mentioned as one of the first three people who had paid for their numbers. I had tagged in @Sigmardin and a friend of ours we will just call her J to keep names out of this story. So not that night but the next day the 50 numbers were all bought, including people who just sent money out of the kindness of this communities heart, showing the full force of how this community bands together for one of our own no matter what it might be. One of the Vaping B&M stores even setup a gofundme account and so did a fb individual to help in this time of need. Soooooo, the number is drawn it is number 44, yet somehow magically my name was no where even on the list of names any more. I made a comment about it and contacted the raffle person about it. I was asked for proof and I sent every screenshot I had, up to and including my paypal receipt for it where in the notes I had notated what numbers I was paying for, this is when things start going a bit off kilter and into the land of twilight zone styled stuff, J contacted the admins of the page, several people also wondered the same thing but the only screenshot I did not have was of me listed on those numbers even though I had verified before i went to bed I was. Yet another person indeed did have that saved and posted it showing i had indeed been in that number, when this happened all of a sudden a red flag was thrown into the mix, the raffle person had mysteriously and without warning deleted the raffle post all together. Which did not help matter all of a sudden all the people wanting to help started thinking scam, and I must admit so did I. I looked up their account and the profile picture had been changed. To a very healthy young man looking like it was a selfie driving. So we got everything worked out (or so I thought) he would be sending it the next day. blah blah blah. Next day I wake up to hella messages to check out this ebay page that just went up selling something so I do and those same images are used there same person selling the lot for 300 but would sell to J for 275.00 come to find out as she let it rip in the fb group again. I get contacted by the guy asking if he sends it right now with tracking number and video would this please stop and that I was dealing with the real person not his mom or brother etc... That he was already out of the hospital after having two strokes and surgery all like 3 days prior. (Coughs) Anyways I said give me those things and we will see what the community says, he asked me to have everyone apologize to him that was calling him a scammer, at this point people were already disputing the paypal charges and reporting as a scam. I told him there was no way I would ask for an apology as he should know this community better then that to even ask someone to tell people to apologize to him. Then in the video he sent me packing all the stuff up and the receipt with tracking number he was saying here is your f'ing s^%$ and saying sh*& and F*&^ more then anything else which lead me to believe by the anxiety of getting rid of all of his stuff like that he never intended to actually follow through. So as everything was going on people were still making disputes with paypal, and calling his local police department claiming scamming, etc etc so before all the disputes oh yes and people reported him on ebay for some reason or another I never found a way to report anyone as a scammer on ebay lol. The whole time he kept making me feel like I started a huge ruckus or that J had when in fact by his own sketchy and red flag actions had caused all this. So in the meanwhile the guy who had been called as the winner even admitted he was not, but the B&M store that started the gofundme account got in touch and sent him a hexohm as well. They had already been in touch with me and told me if I did not receive my winnings they would make it right, and send me everything I had won themselves. One of their employees even contacted me later on and said worst case he would send me everything out of his own pocket.

I did receive everything pictured except the shotgun and the green batteries and I knew those were not included as I had asked about them. it all arrived in my possession yesterday afternoon so hexohm v2 serial number 1787 was checked in!

Moral of the Story is I belong to one of the most amazing top of the line communities ever, internally we may argue over clone, 1:1, or authentic but in the end we have each others back!!

That pretty much sums it up...and yes, that is still a somewhat abridged version of the entire stretch of ridiculous events surrounding this entire HexOhm fiasco. I still can't believe the coincidences surrounding that one though. The guy lives in the same state as @Delion and works for the same company I do...small world i guess *shrug*

Folks, don't be shy taking stuff out of the boxes. Even if it isn't something you may not "need" you can still take stuff you may "want". Let me give ya a good example. When I got the box, there was 1 thing I knew I was taking, that was the Farnsworths Fulgurous Fog (Thanks @nukeum you have no idea what you started!). I took the 2 bottles, ordered 5 more a week later, ordered 5 more 2 weeks later, and ordered 6 more yesterday. After the first of the year one of my local B&M's is looking to start carrying Farnsworth's. All this simply because I took 2 bottles of juice that I almost didn't take simply because they were 6mg (it did wreck me for a minute, but i found a solution ) max vg. I also made a new friend outta that ordeal, which is by far the most valuable thing to me personally.

Now, I'm not saying if you take a bag of cotton it's going to change your day, week, month or year, but it may give you another option the next time you decide on wicking material. I took some japanese cotton from the box as well, which I had just started using like 1 week prior to getting the box. Well, a few days ago, I ran out of my sheets of Japanese cotton and didn't have anything else with me to use to wick my RDA. What's this in the zip lock bag at the bottom of the good 'ol bag-o-vape? 3 SHEETS OF COTTON FROM THE PIF BOX! SCORE!

Most of you probably don't need starter kits, but guess what? I'll bet you know someone who does don't you? What if you randomly forget your stuff at home one day (how you could possibly leave the house without it I'm not sure) and you got nothing to vape? Leave it in your desk at work or in your car or your brief case.

Thanks @Sigmardin for the rant, True, normally I would say yes, I would take something from the box, but since you brought it up and asked me directly, honestly, there is really nothing in there but half bottles of juice that look like the many bottles of bad juice I was duped into buying myself, but threw them out rather than subject it to someone else. There are 2 starter kits in there (I was hoping to get one to give to my neighbor who still smokes cigs and the smoke wafts into my windows) but they are both not very good, and I don't want to give a kit that will discourage her from quiting (she said she tried the gas station cigalikes and did not like them). Aside from the bags of half used juice, there is a bag of wick and stuff, but really a box of Ko Gen Do is $12 shipped and will last you almost the rest of your life, which I have, I suppose its good for someone to sample to see if they like japenese cotton. And then there were a few ego batteries, but the first one I tested did not hold a charge, I thought I could cobble together a kit for my neighbor, but again, I tested because I don't want to give her something that she will be frustrated by. Ok, end of my rant. That being said, I didn't find anything that I could use, but maybe someone else will. I was happy to include a bunch of unopened ejuice and a few supplies. I'm going to hold on to the other stuff I have for the other box. Love the idea of the pay it forward sentiment, great people here as well. I look forward to the next box. One thing that can't be disputed is the great friends I've made in this thread, that, to me is worth the cost of admission.

I thought I had said lol I was being lazy it was super late when I posted that, and tired it is why I had asked. I personally used the cotton from the pif box because I had no other alternative actually that would not take me a few days to get some somewhere else, as I do not leave my house other than to go 2 blocks over to a commercial rental kitchen or one block over for the post office, as my mother lives with me and my wife and we all work from home so we can watch over and take care of my mom, as she needs 24/7 monitoring, hell we even have our groceries delivered, that is why I had to use it. However I can understand where you are coming from, and I understand google is our friend, I just needed something right then, as I do have some organic japanese labo coming that I won in another raffle, but it was there when I needed it was my only solution lol.

Ok so last night I did something, that I thought would be hard as hell to do, you see my hands shake somewhat (from a back/neck injury), and as you all know I said I do not like the Atlantis tank. However I received one with the HexOhm V2 I won, and it was as crappy as the other one I had tried, however, with a rebuilt head/coil I really do like the tank now other than the 2ml capacity.

So last night after watching a couple of shows on vaping underground live, I looked up a video on how to rebuild the coil head in a Atlantis tank. After a few minutes I could see what they were talking about the material on the coil was already flaking and falling into smaller parts, so I took the time rebuilt it with organic japanese labo cotton reassembled it, and I must say after tossing it on hexohm v2 #1787 it was a much better flavor and better vapor. I thought I would write this here for those wondering if it was hard to do, I did it in less then 10 minutes and if I can do it anyone can, you see I was not a dripper, nor was I into any other juice other than a 50/50 blend at 12mg, after the rebuild I tried a new flavor called custards destiny from a dripper line at 3mg at 70/30, it was AMAZING flavor and the vapor poured out.

I figured I would put this in here for our pif family because of the information now coming to light about the materials in all the aspire bvc replacement coils, including the atlantis heads that come with the atlantis. There is always speculation and conjecture about things however when it comes to this particular issue, I would rather be safe then sorry.
