Is there any difference between kantal and ss316 coils ? (beside resistance etc)

And if can i use ss316 coils on Mech

The resistance is a big difference, yes you can use SS on a mech but be careful of the ohms, they can get too low for one battery mechs easily

SS will change colors, and heat up much faster than kanthal

Some people can taste a difference, some say SS tastes better, others think it tastes worse than Kanthal

SS is a little harder to build with if you don't space the coils, hot legs can happen very easily

SS needs to be dry burned much more lightly than kanthal, or it will over-oxidize and get fuzzy ash on it

Okay Thank you .. acctually the resistence is different, i know.. i have 30 amp 20700 battery so there is no problem running 0.2ohm dual coil .. but i mean it like if ss will have better vapour production or something like that..

and 1 more question..


can i make twisted coils from SS ?

I don't think the metal type matters, more just how much metal there is and how hot it gets.

Yes you can twist SS, try twisting 4 strands to reduce spitting

I think aliens are best coils for cloud chasing but I haven't tried ss wire on a mech.

SS316L I only use in TC Mode because for me it works like a charm and I do not use Mechs. I could as I have enough knowledge to do so safely I just would rather be vaping then doing the Math!
