So I'm building on my Sigelei 150w box and have been using a copper Doge clone. I usually run my box at 75w and I am using 22g ribbon wire by cloud chasers at 6 wraps a piece for my coils. My ohm resistance is .1 but I was told I cannot go below that .1 build. Can someone explain why I cannot? Because less resistance means more heat which means more clouds correct? Please help me get comp ready.

You can't on that mod unless you like seeing expensive things you buy catch on fire.

You need a mechanical mod and a high drain battery. Before you go lower PLEASE make sure you know ohm law and battery safety! I'm sure you like your face like it is and not melted.

If you need help with this let me know.

Ahh I was just wondering why I couldn't, I knew it was battery related. I'm fairly new to vaping but I'm tryna build up to competition quick. There's one on the 20th and I need coil ideas to win. I got the Sigelei 150w of course but I just got the dark horse, I have 26 gauge kanthal and some 22 gauge cloud chasers ribbon wire. Any ideas bro?

I would use the 22g for sure. Shoot for a 0.12-0.15 ohm dual coil set up. I wouldn't get to close to 0.1 on that mod just in case. Also make sure you bring fresh batteries as back up. I learned that lesson the hard way at a comp in Dallas. My batteries just crapped out.

Maybe others will post some ideas for you as well. There are so many ways to make coils for clouds but I believe keeping it simple works best. Also most of cloud chasing is technique when you inhale and exhale. You can have a sick build but if you don't perfect the above it will be a long day at the event.

I'm not sure of the resistance of the cloud chasing wire so I can't tell you how many wraps for the 22g but you can start with 5-6 wraps of 2.5mm or 3mm and see what you get on the ohm meter.

Maybe try parallel if the ohms aren't low enough with a regular wrap. Post the pictures here after. I'd like to see the results.

How would I even build parallel with ribbon wire? Lol I've done it with regular kanthal. Not ribbon.

IMO its a good combo. I personally would have went with the istick 30w for a little more room if you want to upgrade to sub ohming later but nothing wrong with that.

Its possible but you are very limited on what you can get because the 20w can only handle I believe 1ohm vs an istick 30 can go down to 0.4 ohm. To get more vapor you need a sub ohm tank and max VG juice.

This is my go to set up. Kanger sub mini and istick 30.Message_1433078053239.jpg

Awesome so the lower the ohms and stronger battery is what i should try?

OK I googled it and looks like your shop did a good job of paring you with a sub tank that will fire on your istick. Now how do you like it is the question?

I like it i was just curious if a different tank would produce more vapor without buying a new battery since its only a week old mabye a lower ohm tank but i cant seem to find how low of ohms i can go on my istick

Look at the rain and lightning underneath it:eek:

i keep wanting to go bigger and bigger!

i dont think i will get much bigger, just better length. The density is there for sure! lol
being behind the cloud you dont get to see the true measure of it! pictures always make you feel better
"Maybe thats why they call it chasing? :O?

Sometimes when I drive I forget to blow my cloud to the side and I can't see for a few secs haha!

Yep, crack the window open a little and the clouds will chug nicely behind you in your wake.

So what's everyone running for clouds? Mods, RDA, coils, coil build, juice, juice specifics. At the moment I'm running the Sigelei 150w at 65w, 4.8v, .3 ohms, dark horse rda, single tiger coil, 6 wraps on a 2.0mm bit, I made the coil twisting 22g ribbon and 28g kanthal. As far as juice I get most of mine from the local vape shop, great times vapes, Tigers Blood, 100% VG. I did get a 120 ml bottle from violet vapors of caramel candy perfection. 100% VG also.

For clouds I keep it simple using dual 3mm 24g 7 wrap parallel. It's around 0.2 ohms and gives me great dense vape but you lose some flavor.

But... I'm cloud chasing with this build and I use VG max juice called Vampires Blood.
