I’ve been really depressed this week and am starting to slowly get out of it. I’m a stay at home mom and life just gets too boring for me. I need to get out.
I’m still new to this forum, but it’s been an outlet for me instead of mindlessly scrolling through Facebook.
Can't be that rough if it's only taking wine and not whiskey.
FB can get old. I'm starting that almost everyone suffers from some sort of depression from time to time. I'm kinds of stuck right now too. Tore my rotator cuff and bicep tendon in July, had surgery in August. Been out of work for 2 months already and probably another month or so. It sucks big hairy donkey balls.

My youngest son and I do dance parties in the living room everyday.
My wife did that when the kids were little. I just looked like I was having seizures.

My Dad was a Fish + Game Club officer and taught firearm safety courses... most of my childhood was spent in the woods hunting, fishing, shooting. Won my first "turkey shoot" when I was 8 yrs old.

So I went to the dentist today... one root canal and one pulled. My face hurts, but at least those two teeth don't hurt anymore. Now I've got 2 more root canals to go. (Yes, I do brush my teeth regularly. This is a hereditary condition of bad teeth. )

Holy Crap ! This is the most action I’ve seen here in ages lol. This is a good thing ! Most of the time for a while it was just me and Pami lol. Working 4pm to midnight tonight. Yesterday afternoon I check the mail. I'm waiting on several vape mails. There were two packages. One was a package from China. Roughly the size and shape as a mod...which I'm waiting for. So I go inside and open it up and....well it's not a mod...check package again...addressed to my 13 yr old daughter...it's a personal gratification device...I didn't want to be a dad anymore.
My toddler is playing mother goose clubhouse on my old phone I gave him and it’s making my ears bleed lol

Thanks for asking! Well the root canal side is hunky dory
... the side where the tooth was pulled, not so much. I have another tooth, adjacent to the one pulled, that has a crown on it but never had a root canal. Seems the pain was coming from this one and not the broken off one we pulled yesterday. So needless to say, my face STILL hurts and there is another root canal in my near future.

My mom was always in and out of my life. I remember when I got my period in school and didn’t know what it was (I was only 9) and was freaking out. My school nurse gave me some supplies and told me what was going on.
Anyway, that day I went home I was so scared to tell my dad and when I did he just froze. He had no idea what to do and neither did I.
He went to the next door neighbors house to ask their teenage daughter to help me out, we all went to the store to get supplies and the daughter helped me.
I always wondered what was going through his head that day.
Sounds like a good dad. Sure we run from these kinds of topics because we no nothing, but he knew enough how to get help for you. We (men) simply can’t understand women’s issues.
I hope I did the right thing with my daughter. I had my wife talk to her and o took my son out so they could have that talk. Later that night I simply explained to her to be more careful and that that was the last it would be spoken of and I continue to treat her the way I always have. We did tell her that being curious natural and normal.
You handled it very well imo! I’m a boy mom so I have different things that idk how to help with or what to do. Like when my oldest needed to learn how to pee standing up. Lol that was fun!
I grew up with a single mom. Most of that stuff works itself out naturally. Don’t know how or why but it does.
One thing I’ve learned and observes is the as parents we rent to emphasize in our own parenting that which we feel was lacking with our own parents. My dad was never around and as a result I’m sometimes overbearing.
Word of advise with boys. From infancy boy are fascinated with the thing between their legs. As the get older they accidentally discover it does other things. They will experiment. They will forget to lock the door and you will walk in on them. Treat it as natural, which it is. He will be embarrassed. Girls are mostly more discreet and careful. Girls can mostly still think. Boys, on the other hand, their brains are transferred to the thing when it stands for attention. I’m sure all you ladies are aware of this male affliction.

It doesn't take long to discover that, Don. I never had brothers growing up, but by the time my son was up and walking around good, I knew he was a different sort of critter.
Now I have four grandsons. I have not changed my mind. lol
