On the builds it is all dependent on user preference. A lot of people prefer single coil builds while others, myself included prefer dual coils. Claptons are popular for flavor chasers, I like them as well but have gotten great flavor from dual spaced SS316L straight wire too.

Wattage and ohms are a lot dependent on the juice itself. Mostly I like medium builds in the 0.25 to 0.35 ohm range with about 50 to 75 watts.

PG is a better carrier of flavor, that is why most flavors are PG based. Too high PG can wick too quickly though on some tanks and cause spitback and flooding. Some people are PG sensitive as well, I am getting there. I use to mix at 70 vg 30 pg but now have upped it to 80vg and the flavor is still there, gets better with steeping. I guess there is a trade off but I dont feel I am missing much by going high VG.

VG between 60-70, any higher it's muted and tastes like soap. Wire I like SS Fused Claptons, depends on build and device. My go to coils are 28x2/34, 30x2/36 and 32x2/38. I use 317L for the core wire with 316L for the wrapping wire.

Wicks my mainstay is Koh gen Do and sometimes when in a hurry I use Native Wicks Platinum Blend, but that is rarely.

great info, thank you mjag and ro55co. I appreciate it. I know it's not the most interesting part of diy but its very essential. If your mixing juice you want the best performance from your build to optimize the flavor. I'm getting decent results with creams and custard, etc. Fruits are frustrating me. Has anyone had any luck increasing fruits with marzipan? I tried it today with peach, it's still weak. I want fruits to be strong and recognizable, what I'm getting now is a background iffy fruit. Apple is strong, fuji, double apple, caps. lemons and lime stand out well but a berry.. doesn't sing for me, yet. any input is appreciated

It's VG/PG not PG/VG

The build depends on the atty used.
The wattage depends on the mass of the coils.
The resistance is irrelevant.
When people write down recipes they use the PG/VG ratio that they personally use and since most people use high VG, most recipes include high VG.

Why it a valid question... I would only say you might qualify it to the range you want to vape or build.

Me... I like a low wattage vape. 30 watts or less. Hate having to carry spare batteries.

My favorite flavor builds tend to be basic twisted wire. Right now I have 2x30 SS at .56 ohm running in TC at 25 watts on 65% PG juice in Avocado 22. Other tank is KFL at .66 same twisted 30 wire same mod settings.

Too true, if you dont know, you dont know, so ask. Nowt wrong with that plus someone else may have a similar query which would help them out. Look at the info you received, learnt some myself

ps I have the same problem myself regarding fruits, especially strawberry, so looking for solutions aswell
