It looks considerably less airy but we shall see, I will report the flow differences when I get it in:)

Got the dot cap v2 today and I'm loving it, only thing I don't like is the plastic piece goes over the black cap so it does condensate....but what vape doesn't really:)

Flow is way different than the v1 cap but wonderful to be able to change the flow pending on how you wanna roll, was it worth it....eh it's really close to the same bore as the stock cap with the friction fit wide bore petri tip, BUT it's a petri accessory so fuck yea it was worth it:)

Next to the v1

And the district5 summit cap next to the v1 and v2

I highly recommend all 3....well just mostly because I have a petri addiction, the dot cap v1 with the cloud cap is a little much but the v2 tones it down to perfect:)

Damn im kinda hating my petri to be honest.... either too airy or too tight imo. I need to explore more caps, im hesitant of trying v2 because of this.

How long have you had it?? When I first got it I learned it's very build specific.....

It's by far the best rda I own and I have 3:) but you know vaping preference is so different, don't give up man!!!!!

Im trying! I cant give up. It pisses me off though.
Its like made for huge builds but the post holes arent havin it..
Right now i have regulat 24n80 paralleled with 26n80 and its decent.
Its funny how you get used to ramp up cause normal coils are too fast for me now haha im used to those few seconds kinda hits.
Im going to try in a couple days to get some fused clappies with a stager and see if itll fit in the post...
Edit: ive had it for a couple months or 3 or 4 i dunno a while...

I went out with a girl in college that had a vagina that could possibly blow some vapor. I know it could pick up a roll of quarters.

How do you flatten coils like this? Hammer? Dremel? Lazerbeams? Looks dope, does it improve the vape quality?
Wetsanding and Polishing...Its not flattening by force/pressure, just the outer surface is smoothed out flat

No need to wetsand at all. Just keep it clean and use varying grades of sandpaper.

The grits that you use are usually "wetsanding paper", thats why I said that. There isnt a need for using water or oil but thats what that form of paper is typically labeled, atleast when using it for auto purposes. You can use Jewelers polishing cloths and so on also but paper is easily found at walmart in the car aisle and its cheap, usually you can get packs of 800/1000/1500/2000 as a all in one for around 6 bucks.

So I heard this are now being produced in China, anyone else hear that? So I assume the 1.5 wasn't? Possibly why its cheaper and comes with a drip tip.

Really? I assumed you just bought flat wire. Seems like a LOT of work to sand/polish a roll of wire down like that by hand. How much of a difference is there to the vape? Ive got a bunch of super high grit paper/pads I use to polish my guitar frets (ranging from 80 straight up to 12000) so I wouldnt mind giving it a shot if its really an improvement. If its just mostly for looks, well, Im a function over form kinda guy.

Any advice/tips/tutorials on going it right and best method for getting it even? Work well with regular kanthal?

Its for Coilporn bud...Most of the wire we make for pics are mostly for pics.
Its a form of art in itself.

There IS a slight difference in flavor with polished coils. Similar to using ribbon vs. round wire enhances certain nuances of your juice. Is it worth the work for the flavor enhancements? Nope. Like Ray said, it's mostly for the coil porn aspect. I'm primarily a function over form dude myself - you can see it in most of my builds. But I needed something to show off the Petri V2 on IG, so I figured I'd do a couple of polished builds just for the heck of it.

There is something added knowing how much work you put into a build, much like working on your own car...something sentimental and knowing you made this what it is and its not something that is easily created or bought.

I didnt mean to offend or sound deprecating if thats how I came across. Was just curious about it as Ive never tried it myself. It is pretty as all hell though even if it does little to nothing extra. Good work.

DotMod posted a pic of a gold version on Instagram with the comment available now. I also emailed them and asked if the Cloud Cap they made for the V1/V1.5 would work with the V2 and was told yes but they are also working on a new Cloud Cap.

Yep, <10 bucks. Actually got mine from 3f, probably the same. Too airy for me, I drilled out the V1 clone holes to 1/8" and it's just about right. The authentic V2 will never see a drill bit though...:D

I have the clone from 3FVape with the cloud cap, also. I just can't bring myself to put it on an authentic base. They fit perfectly, though...
I did a quick comparison review HERE

Unless you have clever slender fingers like an elf, those authentic screws are just a look good thing. I have to use a screwdriver on them.

Your supposed to use Pliers on them...screwdriver to snug them then pliers to tighten further.
