Hi I have a question about the dotcap v2 I can buy one but was wondering what it will do. One thing is for sure I don't like the taste I get from the drip tip that I have now. But is it only that and looks ?

That's a wide bore tip. More air and vapor volume. Imho the Petri is a flavor rda, so don't really see the need for a wide bore tip other than it makes direct dripping easier.

Ah I see the problem is that I get a metal taste from the drip tip I have now so maybe it's better for me also saw a golden with frosty delrin drip time but don't like those red I rings on it. Thanks for the help

No it should not. You should be able to screw it back in I believe. Perhaps someone here can walk you through it.

I tried it's done with this rda. I just got my coils in place hand tighten those screw and there I had the whole post in my hands. With out the the post i can turn the screw back in like one turn but not with the post. I just can't believe this that a rda of 25 euro survived longer then this one and that rda I got from when I start vaping last year november

My V2 clone had a very loose cap. Found some slightly larger orings in the parts box and snugged it up. That one was from 3fvape.

I don't see that mentioned in Chefs review so perhaps I just got one with bad rings.

I'm toying with the idea of using a clone deck to convert to bf and use the authentic topcap and barrel
i have issues putting a drill to a 100$ rda

Bottom Feed. like squonk box. Nowadays some tops come with a pin that has a hole in it, others you van swap out for an aftermarket pin. with the petri no matter what you have to pop a hole in the liner of the deck.

not gonna happen with an authentic, as far as I'm concerned.

I found your post that said "bottom feeder", sorry. I don't think I could do that to an authentic either.

I'm guessing that if dotmod did sell that part, it would be more than the price of the clone. What box are you contemplating putting this proposed modified Petri on? I find bottom feed idea interesting but it's a significant investment when you don't know if you'll like it.

This has prompted a bit of looking into bottom feeders. Would you agree with this assessment? https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/thoughts-on-my-first-bottom-feeder-reo-rm2.473016/

Or would you suggest an alternative. Don't want to go through the starter to mid range to what I should have gotten in the first place routine again.

Sorry if this is a thread hijack, did a search but did not find much here on the subject.
Depends on how much you want to spend and if you want mech or regulated. A lot of people contend that once you buy a REO you don't need anything else. Me? I didn't care for mine and sold it within a month. The REO didn't hit very hard and I did not like the plinth (or whatever you want to call it) that your atty sits on. Most 22mm attys would hang over it and look ridiculous. The new P67 models don't have the plinth.

I prefer regulated and most regulated squonkers will run you well over $200. There are a couple of sub-$100 regulated squonkers but they do not get good reviews and would fall into the "starter to mid range" group that you want to avoid. Svapiamo makes some 3D printed squonkers using the DNA40, SX350 or Evic VTC Mini chips that are around $200. I haven't used them but people say they are fairly good.

Thanks, obviously this is going to take some thought before taking the plunge. Those that have them swear by them though. Have they become your vape of choice, and if so (if you don't mind saying) what mod/atty combo have you ended up with?

I have three squonkers. A PC Wood Mods 18650 squonker (mech), a MoKooo Neon R (DNA 40) and a Squonk² (SX350) at the moment with two more regulated squonkers on the way. I definitely prefer squonking over dripping. It's just so much more convenient. For attys I use a Hellfire VIper V2, a Manta V2 that's been modded for BF and a NarDA with a BF pin. I also have a Pancake and Petri V2 that's been modded for BF. I do still drip but mainly when I'm at home.

I haven't seen any with dual 18650. That's not to say they aren't out there, though. I'd imagine that would be a fairly large mod.

Lost Vape is supposed to be releasing a DNA200 squonker this month. The speculation is that it will be $180-$200.

So I did and got a reply back that I have to wait 2 business days to get a email back with a easy fix. I bet it's gonna be most obvious fix there is, so I'll just have to wait a bit more. Thanks for the link
Just screw it back in... remove the post screw and with a thin screwdriver screw the post back in...

I'd be down with that, as long as it has a LiPO bigger than 900Mah.

It's definitely happening but the Lost Vape guy just said "pretty soon" when asked about its release date.

Unfortunately it's only 900mah. I'll still pick one up because I tend to vape under 50W and I'm fairly confident I can get through a work day on one charge.

What wattage do you typically vape at? I was basing my assumption on claims I've read from people who vape at 45ishW and get 8-10 hours on a charge. I don't/can't vape constantly at work so I figured one charge should get me through a day.

with the vsdna200 (900mah pack) I normally have a 0.2 ohm dual coil ss build.
its normally a 70w preheat, 9 punch at 55w and 470degrees

I was pokin' around on the net for bottom feeders, and on VJ's blog is an ad for a Kanger Dripbox for 30 bucks shipped. That thing has to be a joke for that price, right?

edit - just watched a utube vid on the dripbox. It actually looks pretty good for that price. And this is crazy, they sell replacement decks, with coils and wicks, for 3 bucks. I doubt I'll buy them, will rebuild the deck, but it still kind of amazes me how inexpensive the whole thing is.

Probably going to hate myself in the morning, but gonna order one.

There have been reports that the Dripbox is pretty shoddy. I know one person who owns one and he said it started autofiring and has been a huge pain in the ass. I'd caution against it.

Hmmm. That's close to how I'd use it. I could probably deal with 5 Hours as I generally bring two mods with me to work. The DNA200 could charge while I use the other if need be.

Too late, the deed is done. Hell it costs more to fill the tank on my vehicle, so I'm rollin' the dice...lol. I know, didn't want to take this path again but here I go.

I have 3 dna20s, 2 vaporsharks and a whiteout.
the whiteout is 1200mah, so I cant really use it for comparison

the shark has that 2a charger, so I can plug it in at half charge and top it off in 30 minutes, so for a work mod its perfect. So, depending on how the effusion will charage, it may need to be pass thru vaped after lunch so that its topped off when I leave work
