Quick update: turns out I was using a battery that shit the bed on me. Read as fully charged this morning, but when I got home and put it in my charger, it read 2.86 volts. Bye-bye, VTC5!
Fresh batt, getting all rowdy now. Swapped out the Clapton build for a 28g parallel 316L one. Loooooove this mod. Thanks again Dre!

It doesn't have to be brass - most brass attys are plate and too shiny for me anyway. But this is special and deserves special attention
I'm kind of glad they aren't including the ChiNarda and we have a shot at something different. I squonkified (to steal a term from Zam) a Narda clone and I'm not real impressed. Perhaps just have not found the right build/coil for it, but the thing is also a whistler. Tried chamfering the airhole edges, sometimes that does the trick, but not on this one. It's not a bad atty, just kind of falls in the ho-hum range for me.
I'm going to be working 50hr work weeks starting July 1 so this might really be the final co op I do this summer

They are less than 10 bucks at fast tech, and they take the 3mm fatdaddyvapes bottom feed pin (less than $1). Simple pin swap, and you have a bottom feed atty that I have seen selling at a certain other place for 80 bucks. I'm still working with this one, might make a decent vape out of it yet.

LOL..not really..but I was referring to the airholes..I prefer a restricted draw myself. Yes it does whistle a bit I have to agree, but it's an outstanding vape IMHO. YMMV of course, but I use a single 26 GA coil @0.6 ohms, center mounted and it's perfect for me..of course the height of the coil makes a huge difference..I usually place it on the same level of the air holes..a bit higher and the vape is too warm for my liking.They are less than 10 bucks at fast tech, and they take the 3mm fatdaddyvapes bottom feed pin (less than $1). heck if you can do the same job at a cheaper price you'd be doing us all a favor and making decent money at the same time! but I think the other place is careful in selecting the clones and makes its own b/f pins. Yes, now that I look the coil is too low then. And I've got a SS FC in there. I'll try something more simple, raised up even with air holes. Thanks
edit - put in a single wire SS 28g 2.5mm and set the coil just slightly above the air holes. Better, but I made too many wraps and it's at 1.2 ohms, way too cool for me. Next time I'll try fewer wraps, or maybe 27g SS, need lower ohms to pull some more energy out of the battery.

So maybe all it would take is a bit of trimming where the CCV1 is flat as opposed to the Coppervape rounded part of the squonk hole. I emailed Jwraps a while back when I got the first Coppervape mod, asking about compatibility on the CC wrap and their answer was; "we don't remember what mod those wraps were based on and we don't know if it would fit that mod". Oh, ok, gee thanks...
Probably true, but I just bought a roll of matte black vinyl wrap from Pep Boys for $12.99 and wrapped it myself. Took all of 10 minutes.

I was kind of wanting something "purty" Matte black is fine if that's where your tastes lie, I saw a blacked out Harley in matte black that looked pretty cool. I did my Hohmwrecker G2 with real carbon fiber, but that wouldn't work on the curves of the Coppervape.
