Please don't kill me for saying this (I have ribs slow cooking in the smoker right now) but Smoky Joe mentioned that forums aren't democracies and he's correct.
A musicians forum I posted on for years up until about 2006 was much like ECF. A tight knit community where most were friends and those friendships extended beyond the confines of the forum itself. One day some idiot conspiracy theorist came bounding in with lame arguments about why 911 was an inside job. Some of us who's backgrounds included knowledge of structural engineering/physics/chemistry politely pointed out the failures of logic these (there were three CTers by the end of it) people depended on to support their beliefs.
One of the mods was a total conspiracy believer and started deleting any post that didn't support his beliefs. Those of us who were arguing against the conspiracies tried to reason with this mod. Then the banning started. Within less than 2 weeks 70% of the most prolific posters were banned for either speaking against the conspiracy theorists or speaking up about the poor job mods were doing to control the situation.
Within a month our once proud forum that generated about 80-100 posts a day was down to 5-10 posts a week. Soon after it just died a quiet death.
I'm not saying that's what will happen to ECF but the decision will solely rest on the founder to decide how to proceed and that decision will be right for some and wrong for others.
Some will stay and some will leave. The good news is, there's always another place to call home

You can't criticize the mods because they're perfect angels whose shit doesn't stink but they do have very fragile egos and sense of entitlement like any petty dictator's. Kinda like a WWII russian criticizing Joe Stalin.

Doesn't give me any special insight or rights to speak of it but brings home the extent of the horrible tragedy it was.

Yup, so the thread was closed, and SmokeyJoe made a couple of clarifications I guess, that Roxy was/is not banned, only suspsended until a decision was made. He also posted the beginning of the Boreas thread.
Bottom line though, why did they just not moderate the thread, pull it, and talk to you directly, rather than suspend and leave you hanging. Now what may have been a misunderstanding had escalated into a negative opinion of ECF for a lot of people, and a member with well over 10k posts vowing to never return despite the outcome/decision?
It was a poor judgement call and it's playing out a lot uglier than it should have.

deck, and 8ml juice capacity! Plenty of room for those big coils, and enough juice to feed them.
Top filling of course along with Velocity style deck and side, adjustable airflow. Delrin drip tip to
keep things cool.

You have a lot of friends, Roxy, and I'm quite sure you'll make just as many here, as there, because you have a great deal to offer any vaping forum... and loads of them from there are coming here, and discontinuing support there, so there's that.
Some of them may consider VU the "reject bin" but I consider it "haven for the oppressed." And lord knows, ECF is really good at oppression, and lots of folks will put up with it, as I did for 2 yrs. But there comes a point where ya just gotta say... ENOUGH OF THIS STUPID SHIT!
