I never found the illicit stuff to be any use for pain -- in fact, my [lengthy] experience has always been that if you feel like crap already, it will make you feel even crappier. The only conditions it's really useful for, are insomnia (!!!), depression to some extent, and anxiety, to a slightly greater extent, IF you aren't prone to paranoia... and somewhat helpful for nausea, if you aren't nauseated already. It's the best medicine for the terminally bored, EVER. And apparently it's helpful for seizure disorders if you're under the age of 5... or so say the braintrusts here in GA.

Anyway, I've been poking at my new phone since quarter after 3, and finally realized that I was hungry, so maybe I better make dindin... and check in with mah fuggers. :)

Ok, here's some pics of my new toy. :D

Size comparison, new phone left, old phone right:

You can really see the diff in size in how far between the top of my thumb and the top of the phone.

This is the new (6 inch) phone, next to the 7" tablet.

It's what VA gave me for my back pain. The ibuprofen is for the rest of the pains that aren't neurologic. Too many years of abusing my body working like a madman, and I'm paying for it now.

Sent from my HTC Desire Eye using Tapatalk

Take it myself for sciatica, which I think is ultimately caused by hernia in tail bone area. Been told surgery could only only make it worse. That nerve acts up I sometimes wind up punching myself out of the blue, or having hand or fingers do whatever they want instead of the signals I'm sending them. It can draw up tendons and wrench spasms in my back.

Like you it is from wracking up abuse in working, in having being beaten, in luck of the draw of life. My youngest brother is on disability due to a hereditary set of fused spinal discs in his lower back, hernia by another rose. He had several surgeries to the point he can have no more for direct fear of them risking killing him on the table next time.

Also take Tramadol, an opioid derivative for extreme pain from the same. Rather avoid that if I'm able from risking addiction. Wife told me "hey, it's for your pain honey, you get addicted or not at least you're not in pain." Still, think I'm too stubborn to be led around by the nose by a drug.

SWEET! :stars2: Congrats on the truck AND the phone. Man, you're hooked now. I remember when you got your first one.

Well it's kinda like, when you first got a computer, you didn't really have any frame of reference for its speed -- my first was an 8086 XT, back in 1989. It would probably be literally painful to use a machine that slow, now that I'm used to a dual core, virtual quad core, i5. :D When I got that first Galaxy Core Prime back in May, I was just thrilled to finally have a mobile phone, really didn't notice its speed... until I tried using Shazam for a song on the radio in the truck, and my husband started his AFTER mine, and still got results faster, while mine was still going round and round.

Well, this ZTE is an OCTAcore, 1.5gHz. And it really is fast, just setting up shit as I've been doing all afternoon and evening, MUCH faster than the old phone. I'm shickled titless. And the memory is much better too. And the battery -- 3400mAh instead of 2000mAh. It takes a while to fully charge, sho nuff, but it will last longer, too.

The fingerprint scanner is sweet, too -- just touch a button on the back to turn the screen on, instead of fucking with PINs or PWs or swiping. If I ever feel the need, I can use the fingerprint scanner to lock apps, too. And the camera! OMG IT'S SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!! :bliss:

All this joy, for $99 plus a $15 upgrade fee plus tax. $121.89, out the door. :) :) :) Hopefully the case I ordered will be here tomorrow, but it's being sent by "UPS Mail Innovations", roundly cursed elsewhere on the forum, so if it gets here by fucking Saturday, I'll feel quite blessed.

Took Hydrocodone for 12 yrs or so for pain.
Stupid knee jerk politicians made it extremely difficult to get her in KY. So I quit it cold turkey and no withdrawal, etc.
Turns out I was never addicted after 12 years of taking it because I guess that I only took it when I needed it for pain.

byw opoid overdoses are at record levels here in KY now. Guess it did not work you stupid knee jerk politicians.
Now I just am killing my liver with Naproxin.

Yep! I agree!!

In the meantime..I'm having a Coppervape problem. I have a Wanko on it with an SS snap in coil and every time I put the battery in it and hit it a few times, everything gets very hot. Is that normal?
Hot isn't good....:(

I have a couple of the Coppervapes but haven't used um yet. But if the battery is getting hot, something is wrong.

No! At least not how I vape. What ohm is your coil? By everything, do you mean the atty and the squonker? Or just the atty?

I consider myself the CopperVape queen, lol

Woohoo! Looks like I might get the phone case I ordered tomorrow. It got to Lawrenceville today, at any rate. If nobody at the Lawrenceville PO has a brain fart tomorrow, I *should* get it. But I do realize that's a might big IF; it's the USPS after all.

Yeah, they have all kinds of trouble with "Hillbilly Heaven" here in WV.

The Tramadol I use was allowed by an old 'battle axe' nurse, after she had taken all her other patients off of it due to them becoming addicted. It's a no refill bottle. I figure though all I'd need do is ask and she would refill it. This past week has been a little rough from the cold, damp and I have been taking one of a morning like a morning aspirin. That helps me get the body in motion then, get over the 'hump' of morning stiffness and aches. I try not taking more than one a day and rather take none a day.

My physiology tends being weird too. I sometimes need a higher dose of things for them to have effect, or I do not zonk out from stuff what others would. Guess the dose 'burns' through me quicker even still. Metabolism still high I think.

The atty, the battery and the mod itself. They were all hot! The ohms are 0.62. I'm using a snap in SS coil in the Wanko.
I had issues with not making good contact on one of mine after a few weeks of use. For one reason or other when I hold mine, my pinky is always on the bottom, touching the battery cover. When I had contact issues, the instant I fired it, that battery cover would get so hot it felt like a shock. I mean instantly. But if I were holding it some other way so I didn't notice that, I'm sure the whole mod would have gotten hot in relatively short order. So that might be a good way to test if it is just caused by poor battery contact.

Ohh forgot you lived in West By God Virginia.
Yeah Doctors here are afraid to prescribe pain killers because it will bring the inquisition down on them.

Montani Semper Liberi. Mountaineers Always Free. :)

I was born in the In God We Trust state, of Florida. Well born might not be the proper terminology for falling out of an orange tree and rolling into the Atlantic Ocean but it is usually what folks expect to hear. :) Then, I grew up in the Sic Semper Tyrannis, Thus Always to Tyrants state of Virginia. Reckon I do alright being a humble Southern gentle/gentile-man & country boy. :)

When you say battery contacts, do you mean the contacts on the battery itself or the mod? I tried using a different battery in it with the same result. 2 hits and everything, atty, mod and battery are hot. I think I have a problem. :(

On the battery cover; use an emery board to gently file it down on the inside side, also double check yourself that you're not cross threading the cover in place, ensure you snug it in well true if need be use a penny in the slot to twist it in.

On the positive screw; again use a bit of emery board filing, you also might want some Ox-Gard or No-Ox electrical grease on the positive connector portions of the contacts. The Ox-Gard can be found at a local WalMart, hardware store and contains zinc traces which helps improve connectivity and overall better performance.

Apologies if all this sounds counter intuitive for your problem. "Hey it's firing but getting hot!" Yep, I'm trying to eliminate bad grounding by offering this way of attacking the problem. If you ground out correctly you ought not be getting hot. Also this helps eliminate it being an issue with the mod, and points it toward being an issue with the atty/build.

On the mod. See Morely's post, good tips.
