Yeah it looks like it's going to tear up FL's west coat instead of east. That friend of ours who stayed with us back in 2014, he's got family in Panama City Beach; they hadn't been planning on evacuating, but now it looks like they probably oughta.
Now they're forecasting 39mph winds for us Monday, yikes; I hope this damn thing will lose some more power and bring that down before Monday.

Was watching a bit of live feed from them on the net.
This guy was standing in water well over his feet and complaining about street flooding. The camera pulls back and there about 10 feet in front of him was a nice dry, umm well not submerged sidewalk. Idiots....
Took another look at the same live feed about 20 minutes later and the idiot was still standing in the water....
Perhaps the hurricane will carry him away?

What pauses my thinking of it is hearing one reporter call it properly a hurricane then, the next reporter calls it a storm, It would be hilarious to me that a third reporter might call it a gale still, a fourth reporter call it a squall. I got a bit fussy and grumbled at them. My wife for a minute looked dumbfouned. I explained the wording does matter, as relating to degrees of severity and accuracy of reporting or passing word.
These differences might not quite register with the general population. Will grant they appear subtle and possibly trivial. If you were aboard say a shrimp boat these differences could indeed be the difference between bringing your boat to port or going after another haul and possibly getting killed. Yes, all of them describe weather that is foul. Not all of them require evasive response.
Wonder if they meant North West at 245 degrees? They might be baking a pan of brownies & thought at 290 degrees the brownies get done quicker. They forgot accounting dead reckoning, or it was mixed in with the coca supplied in the mix. Aw well, folks is funny. Know I often can be.
Sadly most reporters are as clueless to weather as the arm chair viewer is. A meteorologist that gives your local weather is another matter. Most people dont know the difference between a gale and a squall which is ok, all they really need to know is if its going to be shitty or not. The shrimp boat Captain should be getting his weather from an official source and be able to understand the info provided to them.
What got me yesterday was all morning with the storm moving 290 degrees they was calling it moving to the west and then when is still hast turned they started calling 290 WNW. Anything from 270 to 314 heading can be considered at WNW 315 is NW. It was like they was trying to save face because the storm just wouldnt turn. Thankfully it finally did turn.
Anyone who wishes to learn some basic weather stuff, the FAA has some excellent resources that are free. All pilots from the casual weekend cloud chaser to the heavy iron driver must possess a basic understanding of weather so in order the pass the test the FAA provides the information which isnt hard to understand and learn. Useful too for broken sailors who like keeping abreast of what's going on, or heading inbound. We have a running joke here. Old fellow name of Whitt tells us, "well, there's always a fifty fifty chance of it raining." So, our idea about it raining then is to add what percentage the local meterologistsput out to 50%. Then we divide to get an average. Most often it does real well to let us know if we get 60% or more chance, it'll rain.
On to another subject simply out of conversation's sake. I got a tri-axle dump truck load of oak firewood, I'm going pitifully slow at getting ricked in the shed. Piriformis syndrome is fun, as is possibly having an extra disc or two in the spine. My youngest brother needed surgery due in part to issues with the nerve root cluster. He still has troubles. They can no longer offer him surgery, only offer pain killers. He very much dislikes having to relyon oxycotin. He looks for alternate means to ease the pain, lots of stretching, lots of stand up, sit down, stand back up.
Today, I'm slacking. Doing our laundry and also working on building some Clapton wire from a 28 g innner core and 30 g wrapper wire. I'm using a button, it is slow going too.
Some days, I wonder. *sighs & shakes head* But that's life for us all. We see all kinds of different lives we could live, ultimately we accept what comes on along. I don't mean we settle exactly, because contentment takes realizing there might be better. We take what comes and work toward the better. In the last year I made a couple coils for a Merlin but for the most part I been vaping on tanks that I can replace the coils in. The Tobecco super tanks I mainly use and usually I can get 3 months out of a coil. The unscrew the old coil and screw in a new one. I have become very lazy when it come to my vape stuff. I only mix when I have no choice and replace coils when I have no choice.
At times I feel like all the crap I been thru this last year plus has broken my spirit. There use to be no stop to me. If something needed doing, it was getting done. Now it gets done when I feel like it and a lot of times I just dont have it in me to do it. Life sucks But it is what it is. A buddy of mine told me last night "this is now your life and ya better get fuckin use to it" Sadly he is right.

E is for the elphant I got to ride a short distance once at a circus, rather fun to do. F is the foolishness I got by with as a young boy having very dark humor, especially in relation to rescue squad. Start your own good list.

Find new ways to do what needs to be done, fine new interests that fit in with your new circumstances - look for inspiration wherever it may lie - it will be different for everybody

At times I just feel guilty, like I am milking this and need to get my lazy ass back to work and then something happens where I know there is no way I can go back to work. Last week had this happen. Before Rascal came to spend his week with me I wanted to mow the area that I put him on a long cable so he can do his business without me having to chase him down. I moved this water pipe that lays along the ground with my foot and it popped apart at a connection. Not a big deal. Walked around the house and grabbed a screwdriver, walked back to the front and undid the clamps on the pipe. Tried to put it back together and nope, not happening, too much pressure so had to take the water hose off the spigot, turn the valve on and then push the pipe together. Put the clamps back on and closed the spigot and the pipe was leaking so walked around the house again and grabbed a little wrench for the clamp. Back around the house, tightened it up, job is done. Problem is I am gasping for breath and the world is swimming around me. That was it, I was done for the day. In the past I had that joint come apart before and took care of it like an after thought and kept on doing what I was doing. Now its all I can do for the day. Im just too young for this shit.

I hear you, Doc....some folks don't live what you been through. Things can only get better, and I truly hope they do.
I recall my mom in her thirties and forties. She would get so frustrated and so sad. Asked her once why she was so upset. She told me that everything she used to do in minutes now took hours, went backwards. I always have gone about learning to do, and doing stuff the hard way. Here I am now and realize what it was she was talking about. This leaves me with a few investigative type of questions. I might explore this. See if I can uncover a cause/s for these effects. Stromium 90 perhaps?

Well, so far, so good, and I hope our good fortune continues thru the next 2.5 hrs till 7pm; after which, the worst of the Irma bitch will be past, though still rather unsettled in a slow decline, the storm is just so fucking immense. It's mind-boggling. We've had just a few momentary power glitches -- sufficient tio provoke screaming and cursing, but then back on, thank anything you care to name. We've had a few big ass limbs fall off our huge-ass maple tree at the foot of our driveway, and a couple have hit our purty white Silverado, and a quite a few smaller ones have hit our roof, but no damage to this point. FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!!!!!
And my heart is out to everyone in the path of this fucking behemoth, it's not pretty at all -- kinda like Sandy to the power of 10, maybe. From what I can glean, it's not a 100 yr storm, but definitely at least a 50 yr storm.

Think we're starting to see the butt ends of Irma in my neck of the wood. Out to feed this morning and the sky coming out of the South appeared a blurred gray/grey/greh ( all three variants of gray for Americans, Brits, Canadians ). Felt some spatterings of rain as I came back up to the house.
Needed to go to Charleston yesterday. Wife's mom got shipped there. Her enzymes were up and it indicated a possible heart attack. Well, it was not that, more of it in a bit. Everyone was also attending to a passing of wife's great uncle. Her mom was at the viewing, had not eaten all day. So, our local general hospital figured she was either having or had a heart attack, off to Charleston she went. Her mom has a pacemaker, had triple bypass and I think they even took a vien from her leg and swapped it into her heart area.
Her dad gets depression, gets 'wound up' rather easily. Well, everything going on he told me in Charleston he was wound up. I kind of nipped him in the bud, give him something else to think on. "They had him in his dress greens, looked sharp." He acknowledged that, told of how one of 'Buck's' buddies had been told by Buck to bring his uniform to him, "I want you to put my ribbons on me." I grinned and asked her dad if I had to put his ribbons on him. He paused, looked outside, sighed, "I hope not any time soon."
I think he then realized, there's a reason I'm his favorite son in law. Seems I keep us all squared up, despite myself. "Yes sir, I am a rock. I will make it ashore by swimming like a rock, sir."

Well, we came thru it more or less unscathed, which is really kind of surprising for an older neighborhood with gi-normous trees. Had the near-constant pattering of smaller bits of tree life on our roof, sounded like tap-dancing elephants, but didn't seem to damage anything. Haven't looked at the driver's side of the truck yet, it might be scratched from one particularly big limb that fell off that damned huge maple, but no structural damage. No flooding round here, but some of the lower-lying areas of metro ATL got a bit; Peachtree Creek *almost* broached its banks, but that's not at all uncommon in heavy rains. The back yard looks like someone got busy with a huge Salad Shooter; front yard, giant limbs and more salad-shooting. But we kept our power on, hurray! My son had to go into the city (Atlanta) this morning, and he said numerous intersections had non-functional stoplights, and apparently no one knows any longer how to navigate an interim 4-way-stop. 
Some roads were totally closed, due to downed trees and power lines. But compared to lots south of us, and everything south of GA, we got very lucky indeed.

Also -- that's a gennie-style, isn't it? I don't do mesh, ever. Doing my own coils is quite enough. Back when I started and I tried out those "510 atomizers" with the mesh in them, all I could taste was fucking hot metal. No thanks!!!

From what I saw in Richards review it is pretty much butthole tight. to quite tight lung inhale and seems to vipe nicely thru the range.
Nope it is a regular type RDA watch V1ck's review.
I have NO interest in the mesh attys either.

With this new (to me) Lemo I've been vaping on lately, I have the airflow dialed down to all-the-way closed. Still looser than the Achilles, but it's close enough to suit me. Still quite a nice vape!

Yeah? How does the airflow compare to the original Lemo? My son might find it useful; apparently the "adjustable" 510 of the original Lemo makes it somehow unsuitable for TC, which is what he likes; can't seem to get a good vape using his standard 28ga 316L SS, using the Lemo. I had to peek over at ECF to learn this about the adjustable 510 and TC... but I didn't enjoy it.

I dunno how it compares to the Lemo 1. And have never tried TC in it. Upon examination it does have a floating 510 pin that Presses up on the main positive connection so it might be a bit iffy on TC. I just vaped regular wattage mode in it fine but it was just a bit too tight on the air for me.Yeah? How does the airflow compare to the original Lemo? Lemo 2 was my very first RTA
It came with a sub ohm TC coil installed, think it was nickel. Hated it out of the chute, lol
Did try it again after getting a lot more RTA experience under my belt - wasn't bad, but I had much better by then

He'd definitely like the top-fill option. Some of the other goodies in the giant PIFed box of atomizers and parts were quite a few Kayfun v3 minis, which only hold 2ml,. but are top fill. I told him I thought he'd probably like those better than I would, I've heard their airflow is a bit too airy for good MtL. Of course I heard that about the Lemo too, which is why I never bought one, but with it closed all the way, it's reasonably tight; kinda like my modded Magmas, after I put 13ga needles in their airholes.

The standard kit.
It looks like I have never used that one. It seems to have the factory build/wick in it.
Drip tip is what it comes with, you will probably want to use a different one. Standard 510 fitting.
If you really like it I have another one you can have.

Cool, thanks bunches!!! He's having a good time trying out new atomizers. last night, on my advice when buying a new tank to go with his new Revenger, he ordered a Vandyvape Berserker (MtL RTA). I'm eager to try out that one too; it's the first new atomizer I've seen in quite a while, MADE FOR MtL vaping.

He's been off cigarettes long enough now (a bit over 2 months) that he can vape a bit of higher-VG; he thinks probably not all the time, but he's got 3 flavors he vapes now; a couple he bought are 50/50, and 30/70, and he's got the 75/25 strawberry & cream I make for him. The bought ones are 6mg of course, but the strawberry is 5mg; if he starts feeling fidgety, he sticks with the 5mg.

I was checking google about adjusting the airflow on the Lemo 2, and found a bit on eleafworld.com -- "3.Adjustable Airflow: The air-inlet hole on Lemo 2 is enlarged compare to the previous version. In this case, huger vapor could be enjoyed while the device will not be too hot. One can easily rotate the regulation cover to adjust the airflow, the more the slot is covered, the less the airflow is." So it sounds like it probably *would* be too airy for me, if it's more airy than the original Lemo, BUT, it might suit my son just fine, since he likes a slightly more open airflow than I do (as well as slightly more heat and vapor production). He would definitely enjoy the top filling!
He's still a tootle puffer, but on the higher end, closer to "tootle womper" maybe.
But the fact that I'm enjoying this original Lemo's vape so much gives me hope that I can enjoy something other than my blasted Achilles RDAs -- since I've only got 2 of them and they aren't made anymore, it's been a huge concern for me, for some time. I do plan to try out his new Vandyvape Berserker when it gets here, and possibly ordering one for myself. That's a 24mm atomizer though, so I'm a bit concerned about it looking funny on my smallish single-battery mods.Andria
Her mom got to come home last night. Not sure what the final prognostication ended up being, guess it weren't as bad as the doctors had anticipated it being. I was in Parkersburg yesterday, saw the new endocrynologist. Everything looks alright as far as can look alright. Noted my weight, I need to get off my butt more and get more active. I am getting too close to 300 lbs /137 kgs /21.43 stones.

. Reckon I'll piddle at something. Had to wire up her tail pipe on her truck yesterday evening. Glad wire coat hangers are still around. This morning she's going to see about a fellow either fastening it back into her existing muffler, or a new muffler. Told her I thought "new muffler" sounded like a good idea with no pun intended. He'll also need to solder, braze a washer on the heat shield to have it hung back in place proper. If not one thing, a hundred. Drat. Does staying good mean we don't rob a bank? If so, I did wear a rubber so there's no evidence pointing back to any fugees. The cops & feds both think it was Ronald McDonald what did it. -- Remind me in a few years, the loot is buried in Montana. It seems close enough to Canada to be safe.
Just got back from taking the wife unit to some church thing and shopping at Wally World.Damn you FugeeFucks are quiet lately
Noticed that Wally World had pulled all the vape stuff from their shelves in the smoking aisle.
Not sure when it happened but they just had some cartons of smokes lying sideways as fillers in the space formerly occupied with vape stuff.
Retail has a bare shelf space phobia.
A bare spot on a shelf will send a manager into a spit slinging fit of rage.

At Walmart? Surely you jest; Walmart DELIGHTS in being completely out of all the stuff that people really like to buy! And once they know that a product is really popular, they'll stop carrying it! I think that's probably #1 in their SOP manual. "Never have in stock the items that people really want."

Actually from the looks in the past they did not sell very much vape stuff. It was pretty much the same crap that Walgreens sells.
They have apparently quit selling any vape stuff.
