I know you have to change the number of cells for the device to work. As for capacity and discharge curve, I believe that only affects rge accuracy of the battery meter. Since I would have to change the number of cells I would probably also change all of them. When the mod is recharging, it monitors the voltage of each individual cell so I really think the only mandatory thing you have to do is tell the mod how many cells are being used.Hello all,
I'm not sure this applies to the Efusion DUO 133, but I'm thinking it does, or should...
If you swap from the 3s LIPO to the 18650 sled, you will need to change the capacity, number of cells, as well as the battery discharge profile....
I would HOPE Efusion supplied those files for download to make it EASIER. I do not own the Efusion DUO, but I do have the Hotcig DX200, which is also a device that supports 3s LIPO as well as an 18650 option(does it a bit different, and in my opinion better, certainly much easier, and faster)... In any case when I switch between the 3s LIPO, and the 18650 I MUST use Escribe and at LEAST change the battery # of cells, and wh, or the device will NOT power on! It will only come on if I plug it into the usb port of the computer, OR is I HOLD the fire button down(only stays on WITH fire button pushed, release the button, it turns off). Once I change the settings, and upload them to the DNA200 it works fine.
One thing I am NOT sure of, IF you don't change/adjust the discharge profile, I don't think your battery meter will work correctly, and I don't think the device will charge properly either. I am also not certain that you will get the correct battery life, if this is not adjusted.....Again, I would hope efusion supplies the file... If NOT, someone could run the battery analyzer to get the correct values....Opinions?

Ok, that makes sense. I was wondering how does it know what voltage to charge the cells to, as well as when the batteries are to low, BUT in thinking about it, that should be covered by the number of cells, and the Cell Soft cutoff????I know you have to change the number of cells for the device to work. As for capacity and discharge curve, I believe that only affects rge accuracy of the battery meter. Since I would have to change the number of cells I would probably also change all of them. When the mod is recharging, it monitors the voltage of each individual cell so I really think the only mandatory thing you have to do is tell the mod how many cells are being used.
I have the DX200 with 3s Lipo and 2 x 18650 battery cradle (accessory). When I switched to the 18650 option I changed everything. Since switching over, I've never switched it back. Then again I have 3 other DNA200 mods that run on a 3s Lipo pack so I saw no reason to switch back. My DX200 is my 2 x 18650 mod, the Reuleaux 3 x 18650 mod (the ones I use if I need longer battery life or the ability to switch cells on the fly). I have two 900mah 3s Lipos and a 1300mah 3s Lipo. I have all my bases covered.
Cheers,
Steve
Ok, sorry I didn't see that! I did take a look on their site though and didn't see anything.I posted above they put the firmware with the presets on their FB page on the 3rd for both battery configurations... Just FYI.
Guys what your thoughts about the Duo? It's comfortable to hold and use? The build quality is good? I'm really interested in one
Keep in mind these are early impressionsI have a vs and a efusion.had a vt 200 .Going from vs to efusion takes a little getting used to. Efusion is bigger and fire button doesn't stick out. It's not uncomfortable I have big hands it's just different. Build is excellent on efusion. Vt 200 very comfortable in hand but battery life sucked. Vs comfortable battery life can be lived with due to 2 amp charging.
DNA200 OPERATIONAL MANUALDumb question, how do you switch profile ? I've got 2 in escribe but can't figure out how to switch. Thx
Should be drop down menu on connection box that pops up.Dumb question, how do you switch profile ? I've got 2 in escribe but can't figure out how to switch. Thx
Whoa! Died as like lights out or like doesn't fire? What does it do when connected through EScribe?Just in case people are still reading this thread to make a purchasing decision- mine died on me today so it's going back. Just stopped working.
Died as in lights out. Was working like a champ ever since I got it. Used it every single day. Was using it this morning. Picked it up to vape after a break and nothing. Changed batts. Still nothing. Won't power up.Whoa! Died as like lights out or like doesn't fire? What does it do when connected through EScribe?
If you can get it to power up in Escribe then the fuse has probably blown.Died as in lights out. Was working like a champ ever since I got it. Used it every single day. Was using it this morning. Picked it up to vape after a break and nothing. Changed batts. Still nothing. Won't power up.
Hey Steve. I'll connect and check. But the odd thing is is worked earlier in the morning. All I did was set it on my desk lol.If you can get it to power up in Escribe then the fuse has probably blown.

Sounds like the fuse blew. The way I understand it the fuse is between the Battery and board but the USB bypasses the fuse.Escribe recognizes it and screen is on.

One other possibility might be the connector that connects the battery sled to the board may have come loose. Id look at that, might just have to push the connection tighter a bit. That would be nice if it's only that.
Check out the video at about the 5:55 mark to see what I'm referring to.

What were you running before this for settings and with what battery setup?Died as in lights out. Was working like a champ ever since I got it. Used it every single day. Was using it this morning. Picked it up to vape after a break and nothing. Changed batts. Still nothing. Won't power up.
Plain wattage. Around 60 w and 18650's.What were you running before this for settings and with what battery setup?
Just FYI mine is still kicking and it's my go to mod right now.
Thanks for the info.... been running 47W and 18650's on mine.Plain wattage. Around 60 w and 18650's.

What Wismec DNA (besides the Reuleaux)? Evolv is currently suing Wismec and I would be very surprised if there will be anymore Wismec products with a DNA board in them....I should've waited for the new WISMEC DNA, not the RELEAUX ...
Wtf?!What Wismec DNA (besides the Reuleaux)? Evolv is currently suing Wismec and I would be very surprised if there will be anymore Wismec products with a DNA board in them.
Are you thinking of the one Lost Vape is about to release (I think it's the Triad)? It's got the same shape as the Reuleaux but with a centered, raised 510.Wtf?!
No wonder they created rx200s?!
I was told there was gonna be another Wismec DNA not design by jaybo
I'm staying away from lost VAPE, I don't want another RELEAUX looking mod, I have 2 already, that's why the duo was perfect and fucked up!!Are you thinking of the one Lost Vape is about to release (I think it's the Triad)? It's got the same shape as the Reuleaux but with a centered, raised 510.

Edit @ej1024 here's a link to the thread that talks about that mod. Seems like an improved version of the Reuleaux and it will be using a DNA200 chip.

Lipos or Duals 18650? Are you guys charging (and it's safe to) the dual 18650 thought the USB?Here she is![]()

LIPOs bro...Lipos or Duals 18650? Are you guys charging (and it's safe to) the dual 18650 thought the USB?
I don't have this particular DNA200 mod but I have quite a few DNA200's that use Lipos and 18650's. I would normally not charge my 18650's in a mod but in the DNA200 case, it is safe. They have a very good built in balanced charger (The DNA200 chip). However I usually charge my 18650's with a charger (faster) and Lipos on board. Hope that helps!Lipos or Duals 18650? HahahaNice socks.
You have other dnas, right? How's this one compare?Hope it's a good one.
Thanks. The VS is something I've always thought about getting but never did due to the battery even though it's got 2 amp charging. Duo was comfortable for me since I've got big hands too.I have a Vapor shark and I had a vt200. Liked the vt good in hand lightweight good build but battery life sucked. Vapor shark is very nice in hand built great battery can be lived with due to 2 amp charging. The duo is bigger in hand but not uncomfortable just different feel and built good as Vapor shark.
I found them here by doing a goggle search. It was the first one I saw. I didn't keep looking to see if there were more places selling them. I searched: Abalone panels for effusion duo.Is it possible to get the abalone panels anywhere?
