Morning everyone- Many here still without power from last weeks wind storm and with this new winter snow event we are hoping the fragile trees and lines will not plunge us back into not having power again!
Many crews have come to our area to help restore power and are staying here till after this new storm passes- these Power workers are saints and have been working so hard in horrible conditions to get power restored and the community has rallied around them ! Andrew Cuomo can go F himself, come here and criticize the power company not springing into action quicker- for a day and a half we had over 50mph winds, no way for the workers to safely start getting the power on.He sure didn't even see what is is like to go up in a lift at night to see the conditions these poor guys faced! Snow and below 20 degrees and very windy! He himself didn't do anything until 3 days later or even show up till then to criticize - jerk!

Whole power lines and snapped poles down- huge trees taking down power lines, individual trees taking out power to a single home like my BIL his whole street had power but a tree fell against his house and took out his power.
We live in an era of people not caring about or even knowing their neighbors! No reason a neighbor couldn't get an extension cord to help my BIL- we all helped neighbors like that during a ' 91 ice storm that knocked power out for weeks! My hubby went door to door here helping people get their generators working and how to use them, many had bought their 1st one and had no clue, and he repaired 2 generators on Saturday! That is who Cuomo should have laid blame with- neighbors not helping neighbors or families not helping each other- sad!
