It is my first time ordering from them. It is allot of wire for a good price though so it will be worth it.
I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Yes, itxxx can be used in wattage and tcAnd it's still can be used in TC mode??

For kanthal, I anneal it (if it didn't come that way already) to get rid of that springiness. Annealing is where you heat it up, generally until glowing (I use a pencil torch and a good quality, 3X+ refined butane such as Vector or Newport) and let it cool down slowly. When you do that, it becomes softened and easily workable. As you work metal, by bending, coiling, etc., annealed metal will regain hardness, so when making complex wires, you may need to anneal again when you go to turn it into a coil.Indeed, now I need more smaller gauge wire. No more vape budget for a bit sadly. My conundrum is that the wire was so springy that is kept wrapping up on itself as I was twisting it with my drill. Now I need to figure out how to stop that.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have to get my hands on a torch and try that. I really want to make this work because I want too try this kind of coil.@Dawn0810 I'm so sorry for you loss. From what you posted, it is what she would have wanted, though, and you can take comfort in the fact that she's no longer in pain ***hugs***
@cr1d3r - sorry to hear about your losses as well.

I'm not sure about annealing things like Ni, since I've read that Ni when heated to certain temps releases some nasties. Hopefully @CrazyChef will chime in on that.
Yes, torching Ni200 is not a good idea, that's why I offered to send @Vapingbeauty new coils to replace the ones that I originally sent her.I'm not sure about annealing things like Ni, since I've read that Ni when heated to certain temps releases some nasties. Thank you so much !! I don't usually torch Ss or bother pulsating it should I beYes, torching Ni200 is not a good idea, that's why I offered to send @Vapingbeauty new coils to replace the ones that I originally sent her.
But, for other metals, yes - it will definitely help. You can also buy wire that has already been annealed for you by the manufacturer.
That is near and different.![]()
This is pretty neat never saw anything like this before

Welcome. I'm not sure what lengths of wire you're dealing with, but for larger mass, a bigger torch is needed. However, I don't think I'd recommend bigger because it doesn't take much to go from heated for annealing to melting your metal. Thanks for the advice. Ok, thanks alot for the suggestion. Will be a bit before I can get a torch though. I wonder if a heat gun would help at all too. I think that dad has a spare one of those.Welcome. Also be sure to work on a surface that wont be damagedI use a ceramic soldering board, but you could make do with other materials. Even the concrete driveway would work (just not a blacktop/tar one *laf*)
Any of them should be fine, although the Bi-Polar Clapton coils may be a bit wide for it.@CrazyChef which is best for the boreas
I have my doubts that it could heat the metal hot enough. If we're talking strictly kanthal, you could always try your range top. If gas, pass it through the flame while holding it with pliers (it's not gonna take very much flame to do it) then lay on heat proof surface to cool, if electric could be trickier.Ok, thanks alot for the suggestion. Sadly it's electric. That's ok. I'll see what I can find on YouTube too. Never know what you find there.I have my doubts that it could heat the metal hot enough. That's why I'm glad that mine doesn't vape and mom only does MTL, so no worries LOLWhen my wife stole my iSub V i hadn't even screwed it onto a mod.... This time she has gone to far!! After a full day of enjoying the insane flavor the little CoilArt Mage produces i set it down to charge the batteries in my RX200... and now its on my wifes kbox mini. I fear it will only return to my possession long enough to rewick it when needed haha.
