to those who have ordered their VTC from Ecig.com... read below.

so this happened again today just 15 mins ago. so right away i jump on a CS chat on Ecig.com to let them know what was happening. i explained what was going on and that this has did not happen on my first build. only the second coil of which i am currently still using. the leads are secure and its a very basic build. so i find it hard to believe that is the problem. anyway i explained that i am going to install a new coil and ensure everything is good and tight. then give it another few days and see what happens. i did however ask if necessary... how soon could i get a replacement.

their answer was: Well unfortunately we cannot replace it since its not an internal mod, our warranty only covers mods with inter batteries as explained in our returns and warranties http://www.ecig.com/warranty-returns/

SO FYI... if you bought your VTC from Ecig.com they will not replace it if its defective. they said we have to take it up with Joyetech. im not too stoked on this, but i cant say i read their return/warranty info before purchasing either. so yeah im hoping it is my build and a new fresh coil will remedy the issue. if not i suppose ill have to email Joyetech... o_O

I wanted to say that I am sorry you received that answer. That is not correct, we will replace it for you. If any of you have any issues at all with our customer support here please email me directly [email protected] . I'm the owner and I will make sure you're taken care of. I will speak with the agent who you talked to about this.

wow i was not expecting that! and i appreciate you following up Josh.

i have since installed a new coil and the issue has not happened again. i am going to keep a close eye on it and if it does happen again i will be shooting you an email. i can send you the agents name in a PM if that helps? i did not want to post it here for all to see.

ecig.com just moved back up near the top of my favorite supplier list!

I've been thinking of you all morning and I'm armed. :p

No change on my damn tracking and my blown disks make repeated walks to the streetside box impractical. Has yours arrived?

I wanted to ask what state you're in, it might help me guestimate for my delivery.
I'm in Vermont, my tracking shows its out for delivery. I've had numerous packages tho not update tracking until after it was delivered. If you notice tho it never once said it departed anywhere.

Well... there isn't really anything between "out for delivery" and "delivered", is there?

Thanks for the info though... I'm on the wet coast so an extra day seems reasonable.
I just get so used to the miracle of tracking, it's annoying as hell when it's not there. :p
You're probably closer to them then I am, also did you select 3 day priority or the free shipping? If free it's probably just first class and they don't always update that tracking.

Ok so I got this thing to be my "travel Vape" because the Full Size VT is heavy enough to defend yourself with but even as I Stalk these Forums I find I can't put this thing down it pairs nice with a single coil Ti setup on a Doge v2 and running my Mad Hatter in bypass is beyond amazing!!! All I can say is I can't wait for my Cthulhu v2 to get here and try it out on this thing, I might have to give my other VT to a friend after having them fight to the death for my amusement!!!

It's nothing special I updated mine and still leave the Batt. readout on!

haha me also. update went pretty smooth. i do like though that it now shows the attys resistance in real time while puffing on it. not very helpful really, but cool.

Try update and tell me how it went :D

what part of the update isnt working for you?

What's up peeps I'm thinking of getting this set up for my ol lady. What coil options are available for the ego mega tank? Will the 1Ω kanthal coils for the ego one work in the mega? She's comming off a I stick mini/ nautilus mini and it just wasn't enough to keep her off the cigs, and the fact the base is so damn hard to get off she quit using it as she couldn't refill it but so she now wants a whole new set up and use the oldset stuff for a home beater.

Best to get the 1ohm CLR heads, they can easily be rewicked and rebuilt if wanted, I have the 0.5ohm ones and they vape great, so would expect the 1ohm would too.

And my tracking finally went live an hour ago. It's appeared at the WA/OR border area, no other line items. Now it just has to come a couple hundred miles South.
And whatever low level it is... there's still no estimate for delivery date. :(
Man that stinks! Hopefully it shows up sooner rather then later.

It just needs to make it to my local within say the next 20 hours. They've been good about doing early morning sorting, so it could arrive tomorrow. Unless they resurrect the Pony Express... then it'll be Monday. :D

How's your tank finish? The pics make it look like the adhesive gunk you get after peeling a sticker/label.
I'm trying to ignore it but since I know it's there it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I emailed the owner and he gave me a 25% off coupon so I need to find a good tank to use with it. Any recommendations?

I have no idea what cause the marks since it came sealed in the box.

It's good to see ecig.com taking care of their customers, even when the problem clearly was from the manufacturer and their QC processes.

I have heard GREAT things about the Uwell Crown. There is a lot of good info on it in the forums too. If I had a 25% off coupon, that would probably be the one I went with.

feature based, but im just stoked on how easy it was. hopefully they provide some really useful upgrades! SS wire please!!!
Thanks for the info! SS would be nice. I haven't tried it yet, but it is definitely on the list of things to try when I get some time and supplies. :)

I told him in my email I didn't expect anything since it was a Joyetech QC issue and not his companies fault and he sent me the 25% code.

Of course I go to buy the Uwell Crown and both the SS and black on are out of stock :-(

Sorry, I didn't check stock on it before suggesting it. I hope they get them back in stock soon, I was planning on ordering one after payday. :(

I shouldn't get another one but figure it can't hurt to have another backup. Right meow I have the tank that came with it, a authentic kanger subtank mini and a subtank plus. All can be used for this mod since I have a but ton of NiCoils

Re: the update...
I had a look at their site this morning and what I recall is the res display will be live like the IPV D2, and the battery gauge can be toggled to an ammeter display.

I expect the original VT owners are excited that they'll get some needed bug fixes soon... oh, wait a minute. :(

:p
I'm a prick sometimes.
:p
LOL! I needed a good laugh and that did it for me. Thanks!

I've been looking at getting the Cube II also, if I do I'd order the TFV4 tank.
I'm staying away from the TFV4, despite how much everyone seems to love it. It chews through juice and batteries (powering the trip/quad coils anyway), and ultimately is just too big for my liking. I'm also on the fence about the fill mechanism. I carry all my stuff in my pockets, and I can just see it flipping open and pouring juice all over me. Just my $0.02, not trying to say it isn't a good tank, just not good for me.

That's why I haven't pulled the trigger yet, also I'm not sure I'd be using the mod to its full potential. I've always vaped under 40 watts.

Can't disagree, this crap is getting ludicrous. 120w for a factory head... thanks but no.
Good point about the top fill in a pocket. It's just friction fit so I could see that happening.

I just watched T420 and Rip's videos on the Cube. Odd that there's only the "Soft/Normal/hard" power control for TC (there's actually 5 levels, I just don't know if 2 are only from the App). And it looks like that maxes out under 60 watts. Doubt I'll care, just mentioning it. Power mode seems normal. Features up the wazoo. A geek's wet dream... I'll enjoy it I'm sure. :p
Personally (just my opinion), I see absolutely no "need" or even real use case for controlling my mod from my phone. From a geek perspective, it is cool, but that isn't enough to convince me to pick one up, at least not right now. Especially since the IPV D2 and SMY 60w TC Mini are both smaller, fit in my pockets, and last all day (in my usage) on a single battery.

My wifey is looking to buy for her get up and go setup. I checked out the specs and seen some reviews. It appears to be fairly priced. Anyone have experience or any knowledge of shortcomings with the device?

I've had zero issues with mine, granted I've had it for about 24hrs now. Only gripe I have is the white gets dirty really easily.

I assume you mean the VTC Mini ... since that's where this thread actually started ... LOL!

I don't have any first hand knowledge of the VTC Mini yet. I do have info on the shortcomings of the IPV D2 and SMY 60w TC Mini though ... they are in the same size class (pocket friendly size). You can follow the link in my signature block to get all of my thoughts on them, but the bottom line is that either the D2 or SMY would be a GREAT get up and go setup, even with their shortcomings. Hopefully next week I will have a better idea of the shortcomings and a full review posted for the VTC too.

just do it. its that good IMO. the build quality and functionality paired with that price is just too good to pass up.

if you go back a page or two you will see where i was experiencing some weird stuff, but because it only happened on one specific coil... and hasnt happened once since im convinced it was coil related. so with that aside i cannot think of ONE negative with this device. it looks and functions like a device that i would design for myself.

highly recommended!

You are absolutely correct bud. I was referring to the VTC mini. Yeah I tried showing her the others but she didn't like the "uniforms". SMH

From everything I've read and heard so far, I don't think you can go wrong with the VTC Mini for her, unless you pick the wrong color! LOL

The only other thing I have heard is that the normal "CL" coils suck, but the "CLR" coils are much better in the eGo one mega tank that comes with the VTC kit. I've heard this from quite a few people, but again, no first hand knowledge.

Good luck!

I can vouch with the CLR coils, I am liking the ego one mega tank so much with the CLR coils, I ordered another ego one mega tank and another 5 pack of CLR coils last night :)

You just answered a question I had been thinking about. I told her last night if she got one, that I was potentially eyeing the white one. Now I know & knowing is half the battle. Are you using the tank it comes with or a different setup?

Using the tank for now, probably swap to my kanger subtank after a couple more days.

Ok so I updated mine and now it doesn't seem to want to lock in the Ohms my coil at room temp reads .40 I lock it and then once I hit the fire button it jumps from .40 all around and up to .82 then when I let go it goes right back to .40. Is anyone else having this problem?

And... here we go again.

If I'm right (don't have mine yet) it's the same as the "Live Readout" on the IPV D2.
It's showing the res rise as the coil heats up, but it's still calculated off of whatever value you locked in.
It's not a "problem".

Cool?
I don't have mine yet either, but I believe that is what is going on. The resistance gets locked in, and the display shows the working resistance of the coil as it heats/cools. I personally don't see much value in knowing the working resistance beyond trying to troubleshoot if it stops working. Either way, it doesn't really matter to me what it shows on the display as long as it's providing the vapor I am expecting.
