Guys has anyone nailed down a vanilla custard using FA flavors only? I'm not looking for GOC or caps flavor wise, just a base to expand from, and I'm scratching my head on this one.

Copy & Pasted to my word doc titled "Recipes"....One I call "Apple Berries"
Percent ml Flavour
3.0% 0.90 FA Fuji Apple
2.0% 0.60 FA Strawberry
1.0% 0.30 FA Bilberry
1.0% 0.30 FA Vienna Cream
0.5% 0.15 FA Marshmallow
0.5% 0.15 FA Meringue
Lightly flavoured with apple to the forefront, nice
Is it lemony at all with the FA Custard?Alright guys, I' think I'm on to something:
All FA vanilla custard
3% FA custard
2% FA vanilla bourbon
1% FA Vienna cream
.5% FA cookie
Shake and vape has potential, I have some steeping now to see how the flavor develops. I also made 10ml with 1% FA caramel and bumped the cookie up to .75%, might be something there too

Anyone tried the new Zeppolla (sp?) I have read some from HIC in his store thread. I tried it at 5% I do get a powdery sugar effect, but the main taste is a kind of tanginess I also get from Catalan cream, but perhaps I need to lower the %? @HeadInClouds ? I'm going to keep vaping on it and see what changes as it steeps.
Is it lemony at all with the FA Custard?
@Kingboomer and @HeadInClouds I need your help. I made the Black Pepper Ice Cream 2 weeks ago using 1% Black Pepper. All I can taste is the black pepper. No vanilla at all. Is there anything I can do to fix it?
I'm using it at 13W's. Also tried it at 20W's with the same "taste". All I get is black pepper. It's not bad mind you, I was just hoping for more of a balance between the flavors. Maybe I'll mix another 30mls and leave out the black pepper and mix them together, would that help?In my experience, lower wattage emphasizes creams; higher wattage makes spices spicier. Can you decrease wattage & see if that works to use up this batch?
But I made this January 2nd, so it's been 17 almost 18 days and still all I get is black pepper. You could do that, I'd advise giving it a day or two to let the spice calm down a bit as well.

Anyone has FA standalone recipes?
Or maybe consists of only two or three flavors?
That are great to vape all day..
It would be wonderful for us newbie brewers..

OK, I've nailed a vanilla custard using all FA, for my tastes anyway.
King's Kustard
3% FA custard
2% FA vanilla bourbon
2% FA Vienna cream
Shake and vape definitely shows promise. The lemon from the custard is there, but in the background. I've had all these flavors individually and steeped, so I'm 95% certain of what this will taste like after a week. Once I'm dead certain, I'll be making a lot of this as a base.

I Vape mostly stand-alone FA flavor recipes... Or maybe just a couple of ingredients. Google search HIC, especially his earlier, free recipes. He really does seem to be the go-to guy in this area. He also has an online store where he sells his recipes very inexpensively. He put up a document with his notes on various flavors... Some entries have recommended flavor percentages. I also found a German spreadsheet that contains a consensus of percentages for flavors. Unfortunately, my tech skills are a bit limited so I can't insert a link to these documents... But I don't think they'd be too hard to find.Anyone has FA standalone recipes?

Looks like they have a few recipes here....

I saw the cherry coke there, as well!lol - looks like a few of those came from right here on VU.
What are you thinking of adding to this? I'm going to mix it up as is "King's Kustard"OK, I've nailed a vanilla custard using all FA, for my tastes anyway.

Thanks! Wakonda is one of my favorites! This was inspired by a discussion on another forum about Nicoticket's Wakonda, so
2% FA Espresso
2% FA Vanilla Bourbon
2% FA Cuban Supreme
1% FA Irish Cream
This does get better with ageing, I'd suggest a minimum of 2 weeks and is really nice after 4
I've never actually tried Wakonda or any other US sourced juice due to excessive postage fees ($20US ~ $30AU for a 30ml bottle) so it probably tastes nothing like it, but the flavour profile should be similarThanks! Wakonda is one of my favorites!

I can't blame you for that!! Wow!I've never actually tried Wakonda or any other US sourced juice due to excessive postage fees ($20US ~ $30AU for a 30ml bottle) so it probably tastes nothing like it, but the flavour profile should be similar
I once was quoted $40US postage (~$60AU) to send a 10c part smaller than your finger nail ... needless to say, I sourced it elsewhere
Let me know once you do it'll be great as is as well right?Don't know yet, gonna make a huge batch for a base. It's AWESOME after a few weeks!
