Hi Heabob, thanks for the fast help as always! how many % do you use on your mixes?

also how bout FW Toasted Almonds?

I've used anywhere from 1% to 3% so much depends on how much flavor you want.
Personally I don't find them too overpowering myself.
Think the FE Almond is a bit stronger than FA tho.
FA Walnut mixes well with it also IMO.

No idea about FW Toasted Almonds, but is sounds good anyway...

TFA Toasted Almond is pretty good IMO. You could also add a little Marzipan, it goes well with almond. I use FA Marzipan but I've heard the INW version is pretty tasty too.

I believe, Almond goes so well with Marzipan, is due to the fact, that Marzipan is made of Almonds and Rose oil. :giggle:

That's true but I'm not sure everyone knows that. At least I didn't. Before I started to mix my own juices, I had no earthly idea what Marzipan was or what it consisted of. Admitting that probably exposes my lack of culinary skill and experience but hey, at least I'm honest. :D

Just for grins, here is the definition for Marzipan from Wiki :

Marzipan is a confection consisting primarily of sugar or honey and almond meal (ground almonds), sometimes augmented with almond oil or extract.

Who knows, maybe it will be helpful to someone.

never heard of Marzipan (until today), maybe because sadly no one wants to sell INW in the Philippines :(

TBO, I wouldn't have known myself, if it wouldn't have been for a friend of mine making Marzipan from scratch.
If you want to try the real thing, check http://germandeli.com. It's a famous Christmas item.
