Good flavor builds for mech mods.

It's not just the ohm build. It is the type of wire. It is the type of atty. I find staggered fused claptons great for flavor. Better than aliens. I also use twisted SS for flavor attys. Almost all my builds are below .2 ohm. I have single coils at .2 ohm. If you want flavor than the Petri V2 or the Tugboat V2 or the Aeolus mini are all bloody good flavor attys. I find better flavor at higher watts. I get more of the nuances. That said I'm sure a lot of guys love their .4 ohm builds at 60 watts.

all my builds are around .15-.25 ohm. I'v tried all sorts of twisted builds, parallel builds, vertical parallel, etc. I'm just now getting into claptons and fused claptons. I use mostly Kanthal. Nichrome and nickle always leave a metallic taste in my mouth. None of the shops around me have anything else so I havn't tried SS or Titanium.

I, Prefer to vape in the .5 or higher range, with a restricted DL/loose MTL draw. Regardless of, if building for clouds or flavor the OHM range is pretty much the same. The difference for me is the cloud build would be hotter and with the air opened up a little.

What ohm range do YOU favor for flavor on your mech mod?

When you say mech mod it might be good to say wether it's single battery, parallel or stacked. The voltage you are using and the amps you can draw make a big difference in mechanical builds.

Yeah that would probably help :)
Single 18650 battery was what I should have said.

Depends on the atty and all the other variables already mentioned. Also, a simple number means nothing. There are a huge number of ways to achieve any ohm measurement. A single .3, 30g coil isn't even close to the same thing as .3, 24g dual coils. Kind of a meaningless question without providing some parameters.

Depends greatly on the Mod and addy.
18350 tube mod with my SquapeRS - SS Fused Clapton at around 0.8 Ohm
18350 tube mod with my Goblin Mini - SS Clapton at around 0.8 Ohm
18350 tube mod with my mini Addy's - SS Clapton at around 0.5
18650 Tube mod Tanks and Atty's - SS Fused Clapton around 0.2
26650 Tube mod Tanks and Atty's - SS Fused Clapton around 0.18
18650 Series mod Tanks - SS Fused Clapton around 1 Ohm
18650 Series mod Addy's - SS Fused Clapton around 0.7 Ohms
26650 Series Mod Addy's and Tanks (30mm) - SS Fused Clapton around 0.5 Ohms
18650 Parallel Mod Tanks and Addy's - SS Fused Clapton around 0.2 Ohms
266550 Parallel Mod Tanks and Addy's - SS Fused Clapton around 0.15 Ohms

Every now and again I'll do Kanthal, but SS is my go to. Much better cleaner, crisper taste and wire does matter. When ever I use Wire from UD, Geekvape or some unknown wire I get a definite metallic taste. My go too wire suppliers are Kidney Puncher and Crazywire. Temco though is decent and Kaybee and Atomic Vape isn't bad. But by far I really like Kidney Puncher and then Crazy Wire over in the UK has 317L SS which KP doesn't carry.

r055co, what's it like working with the SS wire, is it 'too springy' or just as good as working with ka1? I'm not spinning right now but I really want to go to SS. Should I make the leap without hesitation? also, since resistance rises as SS heats up, are you having any issues w/readings on the ohm meter that I should worry about . . . all series builds . . .

Very easy to work with, IMO easier than Kanthal. Get good quality SS and you won't have any issue and I say make the leap, you won't be disappointed.
