I believe you are correct...just seems odd several online stores seem to be toning down inventory.
Well I think some places are probably stressed already with all of the competition from other places and are just barely making it as it is even without this FDA mess. And this FDA stuff is probably making some of them saying just screw it, we're out of here. Plus some states are making it very difficult too.

Well I just chatted with Zach at ecig....said they are not restocking the mods.
Lmfao, and I just got off the phone with Avery from ecig.com 5 minutes ago and he said tomorrow they will have an eta date on the VT133'S. I was on with them because of that janky 213. I told her not to fucking buy it but did she listen? Nooooo! Crown with ni200 coils nothing but burnt hits. This thing does not do tc. Lol.

Perhaps everyone should do duh chat gig....see how many different answers we get....I think there are only two people on the chat-line...Zach and Avery....at least the only two I've talked with.

I chatted with Zach just a few hours ago and asked what happens to returned ones that are defective and can I buy them? Zach said no, they send them back to the manufacture. :gaah:

Man I placed a order with ecig.com Sunday and it's now Wednesday night and they still haven't shipped my order. Usually they ship it the next day, or they have on all my previous orders. I called and they said it should ship tomorrow. Wonder why the delay this time? Not a big deal but makes you wonder.

Just to clarify, this was an order for a 133?

Vapenw has them on sale for $99 with free shipping! Get them while they're hot!!
While that's a great price, is anyone other than me finding it hard to pull the trigger? Ecig spoiled us with their great prices. I'm use to getting them for ~$20 cheaper. I really wish I knew whether or not Ecig was going to restock the VT133.

Cheers,
Steve

Nothing wrong with saving money...It does make it hard when we know we bought at a lower price. Same thing with a loaf of bread or a new car. We like to buy in at the best price.

I feel I was lucky and got my first two for $80. I wanted one more to put in my stash with the deeming FDA regulations. Vapenw is a great vendor, so I had no problem paying $100 for my third. If ecig gets more in stock, I will sell one of them on eBay and make a little extra cash :)

Does any have a source for 430 stainless? Currently using 316L, but want to try 430.

I have this stuff and it works excellent! It's only 28g though but can be used twisted as well as single.

That's where I get mine as well. It's great stuff imo. One tip, I lightly torch mine with a regular Bic lighter to take away the springiness before I make a coil. It's not absolutely necessary, but I find it makes it easier to work with.

Steve

I get mine there too...BUT they also offer 317L in 24 gauge that I am in absolute love with PWR&TC modes

In regard to SS 430 vs 317L, in my tests.. 317L is just as stable as 430 and way better than 316L.

Here's what Ralph over at unkamensupplies told me when I inquired about the wire type/gauge options;

"The nickel free stainless steel is 430 grade. The economical wire grade varies by gauge - the 24 gauge that you purchased is 317L"

I find 28 gauge too thin and springy for my taste.

I've never tried SS317 but it's TCR is even lower than 316. I assumed it would be less stable. Since you like it, I'll have to give it a try one of these days.

As for 430 being springy, I agree, but a light torching with a regular Bic lighter takes care of that. If it's too thin, you can always twist two pieces together with a drill. I've done it and it works great, though I normally just use it single strand in dual coil attys.

Steve

Fused Clapton. Exentuats the flavor. Little time consuming till you do it a few times. Drill fishing swivels and place to mount them. Mmmmm good.

So VNW drops the price hours before my $120 one lands in my mailbox?

j/k... that's great. :D

I haven't even put batteries in either of mine yet (75&133) and am wondering whether to grab a second 133 from them. It's "availability" not price that has me considering. Certainly I would pay the $120 again if I could get one of the colored versions (they're not showing restock of the colored batt covers either... are those a thing of the past :( ).

Next step... batts in the 133 (big fat 26650 for the 75 is charging).

Massive amount of batt door rattle.
I've never owner a clam-shell door mod (IPV etc.) so I tried the "squeeze play".

Solid as a rock now... mischief managed. :p

Thanks for the site. I did see that one, just didn't think about it.

Going to order some. Switched from 316L to titanium today. The 316L worked great in non-temp, but didn't accurately maintain temp control, for me.

Only had the Ti for an hour but so far, like it better than 316L.

I blame it all on Steve! I put my batteries in my 1st vt133 and his programing with some 430ss coils. Well that cost me another 180.00!
I really do love this mod for TC :)

Hotcig replied to me last week and mentioned that they would start production with a minimum order of 500 of the battery sled. That being said I put a product request in at fasttech. I'm not holding out hope but they did get back to me and said they would forward the request to the sales team so who knows, maybe if they get more requests they will order 500. I asked for black. Good luck.

Ni200 has the highest TCR, then basically Ti01 (I'm talking about common wires we use), then SS316 and 317 have about the lowest TCR our mods can hope to accurately TC. I like SS430 because it has ~50% higher TCR then SS316 or 317. The lower the TCR, the less change in resistance, the harder it is for our mods to accurately TC.

Agreed. What I have found in my tests with all of the wire above is that Ti was most accurate but has a taste that I don't really like. IMHO, tastes just a tad better than NI200.

Now 430 is great all around, except in 28 gauge its a no go for the coils I prefer. That left 317...sure not as "accurate", but what I have found is that the vape "experience" for me is more pleasant when things are more loose, less accurate. Silly in explanation, but I am getting a more pleasant vape with the 317 than 430 at 28 gauge. Works good enough to keep from burning, but not doing so much math that it affects the vape...

Anyone with a lead on 24 g 430?

Unkamen has 22 gauge but it's pricey imo - 45 feet for $10. The 28ga is 200 feet for the same price. Have you ever tried twisting 2 strands of the 28ga together with a drill. You could get 100 feet of that for $10, just a thought (I've tried it on my single coil Merlin and it works just fine in TC). Anyway here's the link to the 22ga, I don't have a source for 24ga.

PS I just cut a long strand and folded it in half, clamped one end in a vice and the other in a cordless drill and twisted until I was happy.

They are over the pond. But have the best selection of wire there is! Well worth the 10 days shipping!

Yup, thanks Steve. I go twisted for certain applications, but these days I prefer a single 24. 22g takes too long to heat and a batt drain.
