TFV8 with 0.15 coils + Reulaux RX 2/3 + 3 x Samsung 25R
I understand Ohms law well (I'm an avionics engineer by day) and how it applies to mech and regulated mods. For regulated mods the Watts + battery voltage is what counts, however... all the calculations I see say take the set wattage and divide by the total battery level (at lowest value) to get the current draw. So setting my mod at 75W with a tripple battery mod I should see:
75W / 9V = 8.33A
My mod displays the current voltage AND current draw and I'm seeing 75W, 3.46V and a current draw of 20A.
Why is this? I would assume the mod would increase the voltage a little to reduce current draw and reduce my fear of blowing my face off (I know 20A is acceptable for the 25R but I would like to go higher in wattage closer to the coil manufacture's recommended 120W)
Any help would be most appreciated!
