If you fire it 2 times (once after an atty is removed then once more it resets and tells you to add an atty..you have like 10 seconds to add one...Once added press the fire button again and it will read the correct ohms and work properly with no "Damaged Atomizer" message.

So I picked up another slice(couldn't resist the price) the firmware is version 1.23
When I go into advanced insanity menu there is no screen for auto tc control and no screen for fsk temp curve. I have a couple of g2s and two slices so the menu system is familiar. Weird the display shows upgrade port screen rotation firmware version and exit screen only.

Never mind doh in the wrong mode

Drumroll please...

Let's just say... it's getting replaced. :stars2:

I'm not into opening a mod, let alone a brand new mod. Not that technical when it comes to hardware. See the OP - there's an obvious problem. I shouldn't be expected to try and fix new things... and doing so could have voided any chance of getting a new one. So I'm glad it's [hopefully] gonna work out in the end.

Like I said... sitting here with six solid mods! Woulda been nice to be using it now but, hey, we'll have to put the excitement off for a week or so.

I had a slice for about a week and can honestly say it was not for me. Using an RTA or subohm tank in TC was pretty consistent but when I would use an RDA with a duel coil build (my preferred method) things got a little wonkey. I also didn't like the sharp edges along the front of the mod which I found to be very uncomfortable. My fire button stuck and the battery door was wobbly. I did contact VC and they were about the easiest company I've ever dealt with for problems with a product. They offered to replace it straight away without asking me to shoot a video or jump through any other hoops.

The wire that is trapped in your pic is the main +ve pin wire, even if you opened the mod and released it there is still a high chance it would be damaged so replacement is only way to go. I think any of their techs looking at that would draw the same conclusion in half a second :D

I personally would just open it up...IF the wires not cut down into the strands and the solder point doesn't break off pushing it back in from what looks to be less than a 1/4 inch then it should be just fine but that's just what I would do to avoid the time delay and take my chances that it lasts beyond any warranty...if it doesn't last beyond warranty period which had nothing to do with the wire then I probably wouldn't buy another one.
