Anybody here have the SE edition? I have multiple Slices but their all the LE's. I'd like to know how long it takes to charge a 26650 from 0 to 100% in the SE mod?

realistically it should be the same as i doubt any of us have 3amp chargers. I charge it with a 2.1amp charger from my S7 edge in about 90 minutes from dead to full

i was referring to the LE since we aren't using 3 amp chargers we are charging at the same rate the SE would

Don't have one, but they say 4hr for the SE on the Vaporcube Hohmtech website vs as quick as 1.5hr for LE.

So I throw a build in the Slice earlier, run it for a while until it needs a charge, pull my battery out when the God damn ribbon pulls out of the case. So I say to myself "fuck", kinda sucks but I can deal with it. Just put my battery back in and the cover wouldn't sit flush, so I pull it back off, knowing the non existant ribbon isnt at fault, check my battery, everything checks out so I put the cover back on, same shit. So finally I find out one of the magnets had pulled out. 2 small issues, same night. Shit on my life

I would not charge a battery at 3 amps even if I had a 3 amp brick. Most batteries are rated to 2 amps max... 1 amp even better...

so I have a pair of hohmtech 26650s but would like to grab some more 26650s. I have like 10 of those red efest from past flashlight builds and those batteries are garbage. I hate efest except for theyre purple 18350s.

um what's a good battery for the hohmtech slice? I have a especial sleeve I use in it to use 25Rs but capacity is not that great with a single 18650 sub ohming

Best 26650 on the market right now according to Mooch are the Ijoys. Tough to find right now though but supposedly they hit just like an 18650.

According to Mooch's selections, the Ijoy is 30 amp continuous output. All the others check in around 22-23 amps. The Ijoy would be preferred when vaping to maximum, 101 watt output. For the other batteries, it would be best to limit your power settings to only 75 amps.


Here's that chart again for this thread.
Watts/voltage=amps required
101 watts/3.5 volts = 28.857 amps required from the battery, if the battery is 3.5 volts.
75 watts/3.5 volts = 21.428 amps from the battery.
I used 3.5 volts so that safety is observed as the battery drains down or is placed under load.

I have 2 of the MXJO 26650's and 2 of the green efest 26650's, and both have worked fine for me on my stout and VT75's, but I generally vape around 20 watts, so I'm not pushing anything hard.

The Mxjo's are mediocre at best. I have 2 and the Basen and HT batteries are much better.

I'll have to agree with the Basen and HT batteries being good, tho I don't have any MXJO ones to compare. When I pre-ordered the Slice I started reading battery reviews and bought a couple of each Basen and HT. Since then I bought 4 more HTs

Lol, so true I have 2 Basen, 2 HT, and 2 MXJO'S. Had my batteries a month before the preordered Slice even though they were bought specifically for those mods. When they die I'm going Ijoy across the board. Unless of course something better is out by then. I also run my low wattage builds on the Slice with an adapter and a 18650 battery. At 30 watts I get pretty good battery life but I wouldn't go over 75 watts with an 18650.

mxjo is not even in that chart... I found the iJoy battery but it's way over priced. I'll just grab a few more hohmtech grown batteries. I can get them for $18 shipped in pairs.

Looking at the Hohmtech site, and owning a red slice, I have to say that the slice is available in red, but not orange. The red really is fire engine red too. When looking at the Hohmwrecker page, they show both a red and an orange. I have an orange G2, and it is orange, not red. No matter what the pictures show, I don't think there is an orange Slice.

So does anyone have any size comparisons to say the alien, ipvd3 or maybe the Istick tc100? Those are the three mods I own at the moment and the slice or g2 at these sale prices are very tempting. But I'm pretty sure the g2 is a lot bigger than I'd want. So I'm looking for some comparisons if anyone would like to share

That's easy.....Get one of each! The hard decision may be the color, unless you decide to get one in each color too
All kidding aside, both are great and regardless of which you'll decide on, one thing is certain, you're getting a very good mod. The fit and finish on my Slice is not nearly as good as the G2 but then again, I have one from the first run and my understanding is the subsequent runs of the Slice are somewhat better. I'll be able to confirm this in the next couple of days after I receive my blue Slice.

That being said....I think having 100 or 171 watts to ramp up the coil in temp control would probably be amazing. I'm currently using an ipvd3 . I have had it for just a couple of weeks and so far it's been pretty damn good! Only gripe of mine is lack of temp. Control. I don't want to mess with titanium or nickel..and that's all I can use with my mod.

I got one of the LE's from the VB sale, and it's from the original run with the sticky button. VB wanted me to send it back on my dime for replacement. Screw that, called Ben at HT, and he is sending me the updated button n/c for the quickie change out.

Which button is sticky?
My black g2 still has a piece of crap up button that sometimes sounds like there is sand between the button and board however I see nothing. Box is only 2 months old.

The fire button.
The original run of Slice's had a too low a profile button, and would get caught on the hole edge when pressed firmly, locking it on. The G2 wasn't affected as far as I recollect, or seen mentioned anyways.
