I'm digging this Mage GTA so far. The only 2 cons are it just comes with a wide bore chuff cap and the space between the chimney and glass is super tight. Makes for a lot of air pockets but so far hasn't affected the wicking. They need to make a Cleito style bubble glass for it and some kind of 510 adapter. This may be my favorite Genny style tank. I think the pressure from the tank makes it wick much easier. The bottom airflow is key to great flavor and this tank has it. So far very nice!

I think the GTAs are kinda like the RDTAs not really my thing. I'll probably get one eventually though just because. If i do it'll probably be the siren or fuji. fuji has a single coil one with a 6ml capacity
Agreed, but this thing is like a cross between an RDTA and an RTA. Airflow is much more restrictive than a traditional RDTA. The short conical chimney, and bottom airflow make this a pretty good flavor tank. So far I'm pretty impressed. I'm going to do a full review in the review section.

I like a lot of air personally. not a fan of MTL or restrictive hits.
3ml is kinda on the small side. I prefer minimum 4ml but 5 or higher is much better. I'd rather use a pharaoh if I'm gonna have 3ml or less capacity. nothing has matched it's flavor for me personally.
I might have missed it, but have you received your new blue Slice yet? Just curious if I should be expecting the 4 I just bought from VaporCube to be improved from the first run (or whether they might be old stock)?That's easy.....Get one of each! The hard decision may be the color, unless you decide to get one in each color too
All kidding aside, both are great and regardless of which you'll decide on, one thing is certain, you're getting a very good mod. The fit and finish on my Slice is not nearly as good as the G2 but then again, I have one from the first run and my understanding is the subsequent runs of the Slice are somewhat better. I'll be able to confirm this in the next couple of days after I receive my blue Slice.
I received it and did put a battery in it. The fit seems better, no door rattling, no clicking.It seems the cockeyed guy that put together my first one had the day off and another assembly man was on duty, possibly had newer glasses on, the USB is just a hair askew. Overall it is better than my first one. I decided that when I get tired of the clicking door, I'll make a box for it.
The askew USB is an easy fix. I just replaced the fire button on my Slice, and the buttons and wires pretty much keep the board in position within the space.
The tilted USB is no big deal for me, as long as it works. I keep looking at regulated squonk setups but they're a bit rich for my blood. I think that if I catch a good sale on FSK chip mods I'm going to make a squonk box for it. My only big problem is that once I get the mod, be it Slice or G2, I either start using it or stash it away

Vaporcube did reply to my email within minutes and I'm probably stopping by one of hohmtech's stores in Glendale tomorrow. Close enough to where I'm driving to tomorrow to make the stop.
I did put a 18650 in it to update it but I cant get it to recognize the mod. Open the software, get to the point of opening the firmware but then there's nothing in the drop down. Not sure if the mod should say connected or not, it just says link to cpu or connect to cpu or whatever. Guess I'll have them update while I'm there so I can see what I'm doing wrong.

You have to put it in update mode. Press the mode and plus minus button at the same time. Scroll to the update menu and turn it on.

I have seen many folks run into that issue with win10. I only have win10 machines but haven't had that issue yet thankfully.

I think Raymo2u actually has his own version of the update software somewhere in the G2 thread. I never used it because I never had a problem updating.

Stopped by hohmtech, black BMW was there with an updated hohmtech sticker that took up the entire rear window... that's about all I have to report. Not much more to say about the store front... the magic happens in the back, no cool vape bar in the front
Met Ben, cool guy. Got my hohm work. Ben updated my slice, said my issues were probably 3rd party programs messing with it (same as said in his video). Prototype firmware, only difference is it asks if it's a new coil. One added step they don't think is necessary and probably won't be released.
Cell was at storage voltage as expected so about 1/2 full on the mods meter. New toy, couldn't resist. Took my crown off my RGX II and threw it on the slice in 316 mode. Gotta say, it runs the crown better than my 350j chip. That's saying something.
Got home, charged my hohm work, put a clieto 120 on (kanthal). Yeah, it TC's kanthal. Really nice, in watt mode on any mod it takes takes a bit of power to go but I feel runs away at the end of my hit and gets too hot.
Not with the slice. Really nice vape.
I was kind of meh about the cleito 120 before I threw it on the slice. Great flavor but a little too over the top for my vape style. Now I still have the massive flavor but temp remains consistent throughout the pull.
Looking forward to playing around with other attys on it

when did the update remove the title Porn mode? I swore I recall an older firmware on the g2 and slice and it saying like Porn mode and than showing below the xxx and other modes.

Huh, now I know why my blue Hohm Slice asks if it is a new coils, it was the one Ben updated for me at the ECC show. It doesn't ask all the time though, my builds tend to be close anyway. Ben never mentioned a prototype software to me so I thought maybe I missed it on my other Slices.
Edit: I think it would be a good idea to add, something other people are use to with other mods.

That's the best part about this mod. I bought a TFV8 Big Baby Beast just so I could test out my high wattage mods. I do not enjoy high wattage vaping...unless it's on my G2 or Slice in Kanthal temp control. It's nice to not burn your lips off!
You all talked me into getting the slice. lol can't wait for it to get here now.

I use the Hohmgrown, Basen and MXJO'S. I got the Mxjo's because at the time I got my Slices on preorder and there were not a lot of 26650's available. The Mxjo's are the worst out of the 3. The Basen and Hohmgrown are very comparable and significantly better than the Mxjo's. When they go I'll be buying the Ijoys or whatever is the best at that point in time.
