Not using auto. My LG HE4's are less than a week old. Bought as a set, charged as a set, only been in my G2. VTC4's are a few months old, maybe a year, only used together in either PWM Mods or other 2 batt devices. Thinking its battery sag, because the performance s damn good until I hit about 40%.

My g2 drops out around 40-50% battery life too. Run in xXx mode with tanks only. Get the same results from my old and new 25rs as well as my vct5s. All paired sets.

I get that same battery sag when I run low on battery with my Noisy Cricket. I think it's due to true watts? Just my opinion but get good battery life on my 25R on my G2,,,also I run 120W 470F:cloud::cloud::cloud:

I had it it xxx and tried some of the other temp features. The xxx mode seems to murder juice and batteries.

In xxx mode make sure you adjust the FSK curve to your liking. Makes a world of difference.

I was just thinking why doesn't Hohm make a more simple mod that just uses the xXx mode. Now that I am use to it I use the xXx mode for everything and can dial it in pretty quick. If it wasn't for this thread and all the info I may have never figured out how easy it can be to use. That's why I figured why don't they have a simplified version with only the all metals mode and FSK adjustments?

I didn't have to wind up sending mine back afterall. Tried all the tanks I normally use and the damaged atomizer warning never happened again on the Crown or Steam Engine. The only tanks i had to add drip tip washers to the 510 was the Cerakoat and Arctic V8 but since I did that no problems at all.

I really wish I had gotten a G2 a few weeks ago, I would have never bought the RX200S, still a good mod but it is not a G2 by a long shot.

If your rebuilding or using any RTA/RDA's I think the RX200 is garbage....its good for Subtanks and thats about it...much like the Cuboid.

Good point. I only use XXX and Digital Watts mode.

Those were specifically made to be able to fire on it...your golden bud....but I had to compromise to get to a resistance just for them to be able to be fired on it....thats what Im talking about. The G2...now matter what, no matter how crazy, I know it WILL fire anything I put on it...

I've been on a hiatus the last few days. I appreciate all the input. so far I've tried a 3rd atty and it seems to be fine. I'm not sure what issue is with the twisted messes and Kennedy.

I've been using Kanthal, and Kanthal/Nichrome builds (not sure what XXX is :/) I haven't really dug into what all the box can do since I've issues right out of the box with it. Plus I got my Point Blank in and have been too busy toting that beast around to want to mess to much with the G2... Wish i'd have brought it to work with me to play with so I can experiment with it. I'll try a little bit of all of your suggestions. See if anything helps! I'll keep you posted.

Just saw this on HohmTech's FB page talking about the Slice.

Hohm Tech starts shipping them out to distributors and retailers in approx. 6-9 days.

Got my g2 yesterday. If I have an rda already built and used can I just put some values in for kanthal tc or does it need to be a fresh coil? The coil is in good shape. My 316l has not arrived yet.

Okay, I watched his video on kanthal tc from hohm tech. I used my 13 heavens rda. A couple of things I must be doing wrong. I set the watts to 39 and temp to 380. I have a single 22g at 0.4 ohms. When I pushed the button it would tell me I had a defective rda but would work in watts mode. It eventually stopped doing that.

Also, I thought, by his video, if you pushed the button but did not vape, it would not pulse the coil and release vapor. Mine is. What am I doing wrong? Is that normal?

I checked multiple times and do have kanthal selected. I did not lock in a resistance. Do you lock in the resistance like on other tc mods?

Boy this is not a walk in the park. My 316l came in today but I don't want to mess with that until I understand this better.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

One more thing. Should the g2 get warm when using tc? I was vaping for a while trying to figure it out. Never felt that in watts mode but never vaped that much in watts either. Too much nic.

I found it confusing as well following the directions from the video Hohm Tech posted too. What worked for me was when I read through this thread and found out a lot of people just selected the xXx mode which is the any metal mode. I now use xXx mode for everything, I only use SS or kanthal though, and adjust the FSK from there. i have found that my SS coils work really well around 16 to 17% FSK and the kanthal can be all over the place depending on the build but usually not more than 17% and when I get down to about the end of the tank and want to vape my cotton dry some are as low as 3.5% so I don't burn the cotton. Once you get the hang of it you will love it.

380 is crazy low for degrees (If in Fahrenheit), especially for Kanthal or xXx mode, you want around 440-480....I know it sounds like alot but it feels right being around there for the same effect. Put it in xXx mode let it get to room temp then turn it off then on, this will lock your resistance in and then set your Wattage/TC levels to your desire feel and then jump into FSK Temp Curve and start at 15% and adjust up or down until it feels like it does on other TC mods....then your golden.

380 is nothing. You will definitely want about 420F with kanthal. I run my ss builds 420-450F. Start at 420 and work your way up until you find a comfortable vape. I have had a couple builds that I was running around 540F. You will be surprised what you find you like. When I do it, I don't look at the temp. I just take a pull and adjust up and down until I find a good vape and then I look at the temp to see what it is.

Fsk is the last thing you set. Set you watts and temp. Start fsk at 10% and work your way up until it starts to fire. If fsk is took low, it won't fire.

Got it. Fsk at 16" temp at 420 and watts at 39. Vapes this juice great. Tastes great. Now I need a clean coil and time for 316l. Thanks for all the help. Fsk works much better. Press the button and it vapes. The other way I had to have the watts higher to work.

Raymo showed me the ropes when I got mine just after the mod came out. I like ss better on my DNA mod. It took a lot of manual work to dial in the DNA to get it where it is though. A lot more work than the g2 needs. All my kanthal and n80 builds always sit on the g2 in xXx mode.

When I run my Crown with Ni200 coils in xxx mode I have to put my FSK curve at around 60 to get a good vape. My Notch coils in my Boreas run at about 20 in FSK.

When using different wires and single coils will the temperature setting be roughly the same since you will be setting the wire but still using fsk? I am only using 316l and kanthal.
