LG HG2's should be fine as long as you aren't driving it to max output and at the end of a charge. I agree with Raymo that 25R's are great batteries and Samsung is known to under-rate their batteries (what a concept in this day and age). Samsung's are rated at 20 amps but can be pushed higher without heating up past a safe level.

If you consider HG2's are rated at 20 amps, even at 3.5v (each) that is still 140 watts on the input side of the chip. Figuring a 90% efficient chip that would be 126 watts on the output side. IMO that's worst case scenario because most people/mods won't run their batteries below 3.5v. Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Steve
Ive fired .075 on Tube mods in comps with a single 25R...I trust them more then any other battery...Ive never had one vent or even heard of anyone vent one unless they crushed it ...NOTE: Dont follow my example, Im a jackass, follow my advice instead ;)

I've really liked my 25R's. I use them in most all of my mechs. They seem to hold up at least as well as the HG's, and I've driven them pretty good with around .2 builds without any warming that I could detect. Guess it's time to get a few more.

So what do you all think the longevity of the g2 and g1 is? I have variable mod over two years old with no issues. You think these will be as reliable?

It should last one hell of a long time, provided you don't mess with the innards. I had mine for about one and a half weeks, dropped 3 times without any problems. It is very sturdy.

@Deucesjack , do you think that maybe the Avail management hasn't got the idea that e-commerce requires you to ship items to other states/countries in order to be successful?

Just curious, what's the different between G2 and G2 LE?

Bro, I don't know wtf their problem is. I even sent them an email asking why they won't ship to NY and they never got back to me.

Given their policy of selling you stuff but not telling you how to use it, I doubt I'll buy anything from them. Their "eagerness" to reply to your e-mail gives us an idea of customer service.....

Symbols on the LE are white. That's it.

So, you mean the chip and everything else are the same? Just the look? I'm still waiting for my LE in orange and after reading all you guys (and gals)'s thread, I fell like hitting a second one, lol. Also the Slice really does look nice if not for the fact it uses 26650.

Correct. The LE on the Hohm Slice has 3 amp charging the regular does not.

I'm still holding on my cash for the Dotbox v2, but if there is no news this week, I'm getting another Slice and another G2.
What chip is in that dotbox?

DNA200 and another proprietary chip that I have no idea what it does, most likely a charge boost?
If the mod uses 18650's the other board might be for reverse polarity protection. I know Hcigar uses a daughter board for reverse polarity protection on the VT133 (DNA200 that uses 2 x 18650's)

Cheers,
Steve

It's supposed to be a 1300 mAh 3cell LiPo, that's what I know, not much, but it sound good. I don't have any DNA 200 mods as of yet, and I have the feeling the G2 spoiled me!

I have one lipo DNA. The VT200 and it spends more time plugged in than in my hand. I'm done with lipo mods.

Then it very well might very well be to boost the charging rate. I don't think you will disappointed with a DNA200, I'm sure not.

Steve

If the mod is using a true 1300mah 3s Lipo it will get longer runtimes then our VT200's do. No matter what Hcigar says, it's not a 1300mah 3s lipo in the VT200, at least not in mine.

Steve

Aside from the run time, how can you tell the difference? You'd have to take the mod apart I guess.

You can customize your running and charging display to your hearts content. One of the options for 1 of the 3 screens in your charging display is Battery Watt Hours. If you run it down to empty (Weak Battery Warning) it should be just less than 14.43 WH. My soft cell cutoff is set to 3.09v so it won't completely empty the pack. That's why I said it will be a tad less. (A 1300mah 3s Lipo is 14.43WH)

Cheers,
Steve

Thank you for the pointers @Wingsfan0310 , it sounds like type of jargon I don't understand...yet, I just have to take some time and educate myself. I guess this is one of the things I like about vaping, new toys and the chance to learn new things.

The G2 should last just as long as any device if not longer due to how secure the innards are and how tough the box is, should be similar in durability and longevity as the orignal sig 150's...
Being buck circuitry only it should last longer than a more complicated boost/buck design.

Hohm tech posted a video on you tube of the g1 placed in front of a car tire. They then peeled out shooting the mod about twenty feet. Battery door was done but it fired. This device feels solid like the sig.

It's the best watts mod of the ones I own. Very smooth.

I like the G1 so the G2 should be fine. This the last mod I am buying. Bought too much because of Aug 8. No more for me.
The only review I saw for the G1 was RubyRoo and she said it had a delay when firing, but she also is an elitist so there's that.

I know the G2 has no delay, it definitely fires instantly.

Thanks guys for the kind words. I'm always happy to try and help. If you have any questions when you get it, feel free to shoot me a PM.

Cheers,
Steve

I've told him before any time I'm looking for DNA info I hunt down his posts. Even before I ever bought a DNA or posted on the forum. Thanks again for your insight Steve.

ok, FSK setting question... will raising it above 50% essentially allow more heat into my coils? Im noticing that with new batteries when they get to about 40% it seems weaker. I end up raising my temp setting a bit to compensate if I dont have my spare batts handy. with fresh off the charger batteries im very happy at 450F, but at about 40% I find that I raise teh temp to 500F to keep the performance the same.

My current build is 28G kanthal twisted then paralelled dual coils 3.5mm cant remember the wraps but its at .13 ohms... Batteries are LG HE4's or Sony VTC4's. runing it in the vape porn mode for kanthal, 171w 450-500F. FSK is at 50% simply because I dont know what to do with it. I have bumped it to 55 and down to 45 but didn't really notice a difference.

Help me oh Hohm wrecker masters....

I also notice battery sag once I hit 40% and lower. I'm running two paired 25R. I like auto Tc mode in insane for long battery at 470F.
