Decided to build some aliens and try them out for the first time on one of my wreckers & griffin 25s, first time I've run anything more extravagant than a fused clapton on either. Seems to be running hotter so I dropped my temp, other than that it's working great.

Thanks, it works great but I may stick with 26/40 fused claptons, they seem to work better on the wrecker in tc than aliens for me, but IL take the aliens any day of the week in power mode, but I didn't buy g2s for the power mode ya know

Sitting on my G2 in xxx mode at 127 watts, 450 with fsk set at 11.5% and it is lighting up like a roman candle.....great vape.

Every other buil Iv run in TC I don't touch the watts, I leave em at 171 and adjust the curve, that's it, works great, I can't do that with my aliens, I gotta drop the watts and temp and it's just a different vape, it's still nice but it's comparable to power mode. My fused claptons are amazing at 171 watts n 490-500I am using some kanthal core with nichrome Aliens I got from @b_d_builders in my Modfather.

Yeah, leaving the G2 at full power is a great vape. I use to do that all the time but once I fucked up when swapping tanks and nearly scorched my asophagus. .....

That's what's holding me back from a G2 purchase. They need to give it a new enclosure with the 510 moved closer to center and 25mm in width because most of my toppers that I would run on a dual cell mod are bigger than 22mm.
Seems like other companies may be called upon to use the FSK chip in their own enclosures going forward with the deeming regs so hopefully 2017 will bring us less ugly FSK boxes that will fit a 25mm topper.
Both the G2s and the slices fit 25s perfectly, no overhang at all

Hell, I have tried a little bit of everything, don't keep track but IL do my best, 26/36 nichrome fused on a 1/8 bit, don't remember the wraps but I stuff em in tight in a griffin 25 so I'm thinking it was around 7 maybe 8, fsk around 3, 26/36 316L on an 1/8 bit (I always use a 1/8 bit on griffin 25s with any clapton variation) same wraps and fsk around 17. Usually ohming at .12-.25, give or take a little. Other than these aliens I always leave my watts at 171 and temp at 490 or 500
Vapor cube shows 0.94 in width on their site, it's close to 24 and probably not noticeable to most people but... I lothe overhang. I have one 24mm but the one's I use regularly are 25mm. So that would be more than a mm in overhang... if vapor cube is correct.
Or maybe they rounded down to the nearest 100th just to use inch measurement to be all USA and it's dead nutts 24mm? Either way, too narrow for my 25's

I never noticed it before but there is a slight overhang with some of my 25mm, it is not 1mm overhang though because it is both sides so half that. I don't like overhang either but will make the sacrifice for the killer performance.

Must say I'm impressed so far with this box. Got it in yesterday, threw my rda on it and set up the tc for my build. Vaping like a damn champ. Smooth even temp the whole draw. I was leery of the kanthal tc, I mean it's kanthal. But I haven't had any issues with it once I set my sweet spot. Now the only issue is I want a couple more.

Seems to be a common theme. Fuckin Hohm tech strikes again. Atleast it's a solid $50 mod that's pretty much indestructible and not a $200 plastic toy mod that will break when it tips over on your couch, makes buying more much easier
Don't forget the customer service. Fucking fan boys brag about Evolvs CS. They got my VT133 on the 11th of this month. They repaired it and shipped it out today. What a fucking joke. Don't get me wrong I love the DNA'S I own but don't tell me their customer service is great. That would never happen with a HT product.

Kinda feel dumb when I order another rig from them, I know the ones I have are going to last, why on earth do I need another, oh that's right, because I'm an ass hole and think I need all 5 colors in both editions. Fuckin Hohm tech, killing me. If your gonna be dumb ya gotta be tough. Gonna try to hold off a week or so before I order another, however I have 2 aromamizer supremes, 2 griffin 25 minis, and 2 double vision RDAs on the way and don't have anything to put them on....yet

To be fair Evolv sells 10,000 to 1 what Hohmtech sells (exaggerated), so them being slower is a bit of a given due to pure volume.
So would it be fair to say that Evolve flooded the market with something they don't have the ability to maintain? Where I'm from as your consumer base grows so should your company. I think a better way to say it is Evolve is selling there chips to a bunch of horseshit mod manufacturers who's shitty craftsmanship is affecting an otherwise good chip where Hohm Tech runs the show for the mod and chip. Hohm Tech will be in the same boat as Evolve when manufacturers start using there board, the market will be flooded, they won't be able to keep up, the brand will suffer.
I don't own nor have I owned an Evolv product, when they went after Joye it sealed the deal to me what type of company they are.

They need to be able to service their stuff in a reasonable amount of time otherwise what's the point of spending the extra money on a DNA? Let's say with a little luck I get the mod by Friday. 21 days to turn around the mod is just unacceptable in my book. I'm not even including the 10 days it took to open a ticket and get an RMA form with 2-3 days in between responses. So 31 days from the time I opened a ticket and thats if I get it Friday. For that type of service I may as well buy a $30 Shenzen mod and replace it if it fails. Don't get me wrong I think Evolv makes an extremely accurate board but when I see people on other threads bragging about their CS I know first hand it's absolute BULLSHIT. I mean really, don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining. Lol. If HT did this to me I'd be the first one to rip them. All I'm saying is you can love a product but be honest.
