@jbone6977 Nice! Thanks for the tips and pictures. I appreciate it! That's pretty much the wicking technique i started with aside from doing anything with the wick after its juiced up. I prime mine through the juice ports and then maybe drop or two on each coil. I only use single strand stuff in mine. I can't get it to wick anywhere near good enough to feed twisted pairs let a big azz Clapton like that!

I started with 4mm coils, went to 3mm and have settled on 2.5mm single strand 28g 316 stainless 6 or 7 wraps as the best for this tank. I can almost keep it from going dry, Lol.

@Brad Mitchell I have another brand new one. Maybe it is is a bad o ring. With this tank.. I'll try anything. They look great so never really thought about them being bad.

I won't run anything less than a 26/36 fused clapton in my griffin 25s but usually run aliens. It's a big space, gotta fill it up.

Will do.... just have to find the link. I know I read it in the 72 pages;)

http://www.michaels.com/craft-smart...99_color=Black#pmpt=qualifying&sz=24&start=11

This matched my Black G2 perfect, can't even see where it was missing the paint.

Wow, cool! Maybe I'll get the other tank out and try it. I tried a couple Clapton coils and some flat braids and some double and triple twisted coils a few times and and I just can't get it to wick juice on anything that thirsty.

Edit... What wire? Thanks!

Whatever you want, Kanthal cores nichrome wrap, all nichrome, all stainless, they all work great

I ordered one last night. I missed the discussion about it though. Just thought for 10 bucks and change it looks cool with the glass chimney section.
Great tank you'll love it although the drip tip thing is a con but you can live with it. At the price you got it at its a great deal. Aside from the Merlin I've been very happy with my Augvape tanks. The Boreas is great as well. Kind of like a poor man's Supreme but it vapes just like a Supreme. The machining on the Supreme is much better though. I loved the Alleria when I first started building because I could see my build. Wicking is pretty straight forward on that tank. Flavor is real nice and the clouds are decent too.

I have a Boreas and a Supreme. Haven't built either one yet. And a Merlin. I have a small OBS tank I like better than the Merlin but for the life of me, can't remember what it is right now. Killer little tank though IMO.

It's sounding like a good decision to order this little guy! I just thought it looked neat. Glad to hear it vapes well too!

I vote stainless, god I love stainless....gives me the smoothest vape, I tried Kanthal recently again and I can't go back...I can taste metal somehow, know some people love it still but never again for me.
I can't get any satisfaction out of stainless. I find it Dont hold up as well. After a day or 2 of vaping it needs to be dry burned and rewicked again.

Really? Hmm that is odd, I use 22g-24g and they hold up better then Kanthal for me, I don't dry burn though...I just use em to they are gunked and make a new one.

This one is at 2 days old(About 4ml, no gunk yet, homemade juice, no sweeteners, 90VG, 24g SS 316 ran at 420F, 80W)

Not my best or neatest coil but I was running out and did it quick.

Maybe it's because I always only twist it or clapton it? I can run it cold or run it hot and always still the same. I use 28g and 36g only because I don't have anything else atm. Maybe if I made standard spaced coils I'd get better performance, but I hear people all the time say how their stainless claptons are amazing

I never ran a clapton tbh, I always was content with spaced thicker gauge wire, I do have some 28g SS 304 and I did find it unpleasant, you might just need to go bigger with spaces to enjoy it, doesn't gunk any more then Kanthal did for me and gives a nice warm vape, try it when you get a chance.

I should try Clapton, not sure why I haven't...stuck in my ways maybe, idk lol.

The 28g 304 felt like it gunked more and it heated a tad to quick...somehow.

Both of the spools say 316L but maybe it's really not. Though both are from reputable companies, 28g from UD and 36g from kidney puncher. I'll try a heavier gauge later on at some point and see how it goes. Maybe even a heavier gauge clapton...lol

I get my wire at Lightningvapes, decent prices, super fast shipping, if it says 316L it probably is honestly, thats the most common ones.

Stainless claptons gunk up quick, I go between 6 different mods a day, all vaped about the same amount of time and I clean all my kanthal/nichrome builds on Sundays and my stainless builds every 2 days, but all my builds are some sort of clapton.

If anyone is on the fence about ordering a G2 you might not want to wait. It's up in the air right now with all the regulations and such on how Hohmtech will go forward with regards to there mods.

I was at the ECC today and they sold out of all the G2 LE by the time I got to there booth at about 5pm. Stock is running low all around. I was able to pick up the Blue Slice there and wound up getting there charger too after talking to Ben for awhile.

They were really nice at the booth, my bud picked up a charger as well after hearing about all it can do.

I would re-brand, I mean they sell vapes for herbal remedies, twist is 99.9% of people use em for weed.

Just re-brand as a herbal vaporizing device, I can see this happening all around tbh.

MMM interesting, guess they fucked up relocating from Seattle down to California. WA has actually some fair Vape regulations, well at this point in time that is.

Was thinking on selling my G2, only used it once and it's been gathering dust in my FDA Apocalypse stash. Maybe I ought to hold on to it for a bit ;)

They will stay in business, there doing well with the charger and batteries. They do have plans for new mods but it is just hard to say which way it will go with the fucking FDA regulations.

I was really surprised how little new stuff was at the show. I only saw 1 DNA mod there in a stabilized wood mod. No Lost Vape, No Think Vape Finders, it was slim pickings.

That's so sad to hear. Fucking government ruins everything and California and New York are the worst of them all. Vapers better wake the fuck up and start voting for representative's that are for less government in their lives.

Well post Aug 8th with "no new devices" and only two years to sell existing gear it's not suprising.

Question is how much of the Convention was devoted to advocacy? I'm guessing only a token amount with the pathetic stat's of less than 10% of Vendor participation in advocacy groups.

I wasn't there
As for the iJoy rdta box, a lot of Manufacturers got around that by posting up for sale for only a couple of minutes then taking right down what they had ready to start producing. Basically their prototypes and what not, was a bit of trickery for them show on paper that it was up for sale just before the deadline. That's why we've seen some newer gear, but that's all drying up.

It's a damn shame, so much innovation is gonna be lost, I remember a couple years back fantasizing about how it would be in 10 years when we have devices the size of a blu cig that hit like a train.

When you think of stuff like this it doesn't seem to crazy.

While that would be cool I'd hate to see the tanks that match said device and could hold enough juice. Not to mention most coils these days are close to the size of a blu cig lol

Edit to add...imagine a mod father on a blu cig lmao

I get that, but there is always room for different devices, I have an AIO by Joytech for example, and bigger mods like this and the RX200.

All I mean is tech really can advance in incredible ways and it's a shame we might not be seeing that unless people find loop holes.
