Yeah i get what you were saying just commenting on the small size factor. Which again I think it would be cool and those do need to be updated because there are a lot of people including me who are/were turned off of ecigs due to the shitty disposable cigalikes.

Yeah the best we really got is those regulated smallish pen ones that Innokin/Joyteck/Smok makes, they are still sorta big though, not to big but it would be nice to have something in a couple years that is amazing and tiny.

That said I love my big mods.

Just got a Hohm wrecker, for some reason it randomly stopped firing while in kanthol temp mode, and it seems like its only reading the watts when in xxx. I didnt change anything did I mess something up?

If what's happening is when you pus the fire button and the wattage reads 00 then most of the time your fsk or wattage may need to be turned up slightly. If your using an RDA then your cotton may be a little dry.

Ok I didn't know it would read that the cotton was dry maybe thats it. Because it was reading at 00, and I made adjustments to all the settings to get my good vape back but when I had it on 171watts 450F and 6.5FSK it was great then randomly stopped

That's the temp control kicking in. If set up properly Temp control wont let the mod fire if there's dry cotton

The thing is i tried it on my Combo as well as my TFV8 and it wouldnt fire either, then when i changed it from Kanthal to xXx at the same settings, it ended up firing the cotton SUPER hot on the TFV8, think I burned the coil out

Ohhhhh, didn't realize you were changing atomizers. You have to reset the resistance between atomizer changes

I reset the resistance when I did it, maybe 171 watts was just to high. I did adjust some settings this morning and got my perfect vape back but it was just weird. Like when I set the FSK to 5-6% it wont even fire on Kanthal mode. Only xXx mode.

No, it won't. Kanthal mode and xXx mode are two completely different beasts. In kanthal mode generally your over 30%. In xXx mode start at around 3 or 3.5 and adjust up slowly

It all depends on your build. If it's straight kanthal, then that mode will be fine. If it's a mix build then xXx is the way to go. It's ok to turn the fsk up as high as it needs to go to get it to work

Well I started to think about it and decided I could not take my black collector item into the woods with me:devil:

So this morning I ordered an Orange one to take out with me because it's easier to find, right;) Two in one week.... you think my wife will notice the Orange one is in fact not a black one:)

I was assuming that he had the auto tc option turned off in xXx mode

For the kanthal builds I've tried I ran the fsk from 80 up to 100% to get the vape I wanted.

Auto fires but I never used auto i only tested it because at first i thought it was a device issue, Kanthal wont if the fsk is below 50, xXx it will fire but really hot

It dont matter where you set it as long as it's where you like it. In kanthal mode I've been everywhere from 15 right to 60ish

That's fine. Set it where you like it. As long as it's where you want it and it's not scorching the cotton.

Kenthal fsk and xxx fsk are 2 different things. Kenthal fsk I use around 70 where of I was using xxx mode for kenthal it would be around 4 or 5 iirc

Go to xxx, adjust your fsk to .5 and press fire, it won't fire but start there and go up .5 or 1 at a time. Once you start getting vapor go up .1 at a time until its perfect. You aren't going to be anywhere near 50 when your done

Got it, well needless to say I did find a glorious vape and now that I understand it more (after playing around with it while you guys gave suggestions) I think I understand it better.

The presets are big time improved with the last update. That said I have gotten so use to using the xXx mode I find myself still using it most of the time. I only use kanthal, SS316L 304, sometimes 430 and Nichrome. The SS presets are great but there is no adjusting FSK, that's why sometimes I revert back to xXx mode to have more control to tweak just right.

That's what I love about the FSK board though, you can set it the way you want it easily and not rely on what someone else thinks is a great vape.
