You trade the silver bullet for an red/orange/peach thingy?
Silvers not the only one I have. It's just the one I use everyday. The others are in the box. BTW, I was looking at the Silver one yesterday and I can't believe how well it's holding up. I use that everyday and still not a scratch on it. The only thing I could see was a little bit of atty rash. That's it.

Well this G2 is....well it's blue....but it's also fresh out of the mailbox & that makes it the best fuckin blue G2 ever...scratch that, best blue mod ever...scratch that, best blue anything ever, yepView attachment 68642
Yeah, you may like it, hell you may love it but it's a well established fact on this thread that the Silver G2 is the G2 of all G2's. You can vape, jump start your car, and power a small house all on a SILVER G2. lmfao.

You can only use phrases like "bad ass" or "fuckin awesome" when describing the G2, you can't use "neat", I believe the rule is mentioned midway through the owners novel.
LMAO! I guess I missed that page! I need to reread the manual!

Well sir, this is my delusion and you are just a part of it, with that said, my premium blue G2 was made under the most stringent manufacturing guidelines, held to the strictest tolerances, and we'll sir, it's just plain bad ass making your silver G2 just kind of an ordinary G2 but a remarkable mod by any other standard.

My orange/red is my 24/7 mod, has been since I bought it last year. It has been used and abused, dropped, kicked (not intentionally, I was trying to catch it on my foot before it hit the pavement but kicked it instead) . It has no scratches, just one little dent where it hit the edge of the cast iron table saw. I think this thing will outlast me!

See, now you're just showing everyone that you're a Johnny come lately. Ask any real G2 owner here and they'll tell you, it doesn't matter which color you own but the Silver is indeed the King of all G2's. Lol. It's ok not everyone can handle the power of the silver. You have to work your way up to it. Lmao.

If I wanted the power that the Silver G2 has I would have bought another DNA mod but I wanted more, hence the super premium blue, it's also a mother fucking space beacon & communicates with fucking aliens & the aliens have confirmed that whatever your silver one does will be irrelevant when they get here & the only ones who will be spared are the ones who can communicate...with there deluxe super premium blue G2

How are those cannoli juices?

Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
Cannoli Be One is a spot on Brooklyn Cannoli. Cannoli Be Mine is the same thing with a touch of Strawberry. Good shit bro. It just pisses me off that it took a guy from Jersey to make a proper Brooklyn Cannoli juice. Lol. They also make a Pistachio one which is meh, a cereal and a chocolate that I have not tried yet. Then there's Souly Cannoli which is a mix of Beantown Vapors Soul Custardy and Cannoli Be One. Haven't tried that yet either but its on my list.

I'd kill for a real NY cannoli. Worst part of moving from NY to California was missing all the good food

Whilst you gentleman are extolling the virtues of the blue and silver g2, my most excellent "red" g2 has traveled in time, formed a most kick ass band with the reaper as a member, went to the future and saw the most utopian vaping world ever, hell its so bad ass i don't vape it, it vapes itself for me. Why just now it got up, rewicked the coils on my rda, juiced it up, charged it's own batteries and cooked me breakfast, all while singing and dancing

Hi all G2 owners.

I have recently received two G2s - one blue and one orange, both non-LEs. Unfortunately, in line with my terrible luck of late, I have received 2 units which are below par.

The orange unit:

1. The paint is rubbing off when cleaning with a cloth!
2. The battery door is an entirely different colour to the rest of the mod
3. There are finger prints from the worker who sprayed the door on its reverse
4. This morning the mod kept firing after I had taken my finger off the fire button - this continued until the safety cut out kicked in (this is probably a fixable firmware bug - but I thought I'd mention it)

The blue unit:

1. The battery door has movement (as Phil Bursardo highlighted on one he had) this makes a clicky sound and is really irritating. I was under the impression that his unit was a prototype and the battery door rattle had been fixed.
2. There are scratches on the battery contacts - not so much a massive issue but it looks preowned

Whilst these things might not seem to big on their own, they all add up to a general low level of care in the factory. A quick QC check could have identified most of these things. The units were sealed in cellophane so this is a factory issue, not that they have been returns or accidentally opened and damaged then mistakenly sold again. The firmware the units came with was: 2.5.5, so they post date the follow up video where Phil was with Ben from HohmTech and he was saying the quality control had improved - well, it hasn't.

I'm sure it's possible to get a G2 in a good condition, but this has sadly not been the case for me.

Here are some pics:

This shows the significant colour different on the battery door and rest of mod:

This shows where the paint is rapidly fading/rubbing off. This might look like light reflection, but I assure you it isn't:

And shown on one of the other photos:

To prove it isn't, here is paint on a white cloth:

Here is the gap on the blue door causing the rattle:

I can't get a good photo of the scratches on the battery contact. I only have a crappy old iPhone. It doesn't affect the unit powering on, but it just looks like the part was picked up off the floor of the factory.

The ticket was opened Wednesday, so maybe I'll get a response today.

Running like a champ now?

Oh yeah, battery life is great with no drain over night. Still trying to best dial in xXx for this single framed staple I have in there. Getting that big coil to ramp up to temp, hold temp, and give good flavor is being a pain. First time running a framed staple. Made it just for this tank to put on the G2. Just glad to have it back!

@BrewBear I was having issues where I would have minimal battery use on a pair at night and come morning, the G2 would be dunzo and when I put the batteries into my Xtar, they would read at being drained all the way to 2.8-3v. Sent it back to Hohm Tech and they got it back to me in a good amount of time considering it was during Thanksgiving they had it. Had a note that they had to swap out the chip. Now it is running like a beast. So I am once again happy!

@raymo2u I am gonna have to check out that tip. I have been using those Petri tips for months in all my mods that will use them.

So fucking true, I miss NY, not so much the weather, but I miss fucking people there; and don't get me started on how they can't fucking drive in the rain here.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. They usually respond within a day or 2, if they don't get back to you today you might want to give them a call. I had a paint issue with one of my first Slice and they gave me a replacement, never had those issues with my G2's but am getting a slight fade on my red G2 that I have had the longest.

Not sure who you contacted but usually you want to contact Hohm tech direct, there contact info is on there site.

I might contact Hohmtech - but unless I'm wrong VaporCube is pretty much Hohmtechs own store... I'm pretty sure Ben insinuated that when he was on Phil Busardos follow up review. I opened a general enquiry ticket when I purchased as I had a question about shipping and the person who responded was called Benjamin R. I'm willing to bet it was the same Ben from Hohmtech - but I could be wrong.

As I said in my ticket to vaporcube, if it were just one issue, I would be a lot less annoyed. I'm in the UK, so I paid some import fees for these and sending them back will cost me.

I'll post back here with any developments.
