Anybody try the 3077mah Hohm Life batteries yet for their box?

Need 2 new batts and debating buying some now over paying the premium on Sony VTC6s.

Why not go with Samsung 30Qs, they are the best 3000mAh battery in my opinion.

Discharge is similar to the LG HG2 (brownies), but the LG must have higher internal resistance because they get hotter...especially during charging beyond 1A. I charge the 30Qs at 2A and they barely get warm, the LGs can't handle 2A charging safely.

*edit*
Perhaps my sons LGs are fake, I need to compare them to mine. According to the specs HG2 should have a maximum charge rating of 4A, his HG2s got beyond hot while 2A charging. Anyway the Samsung are still better, they last a bit longer and run a bit cooler.

*much later edit 2*
I have had my newest set of HG2 on the same charger at 2A for over an hour, barely warm. My sons must be clones, I will check when I see him since he's running them in an Alien at God knows what wattage.

I have 6 sets of HG2s, they have never been anything close to hot, hardly even warm.

What premium? The vtc6 is $18 a set from illumn. The hohm life is $20 a set from vapor cube. They may be cheaper else where, I'm not sure. But based on those two prices the Sony is less expensive, and honestly i trust the Sony more. Course that's just my opinion.

Lightning Vapes has the Hohm Lifes on sale now for $14.50/pair shipped with the current discount code. The Sonys would be $21+ shipped coming out of Illumn, who granted are one of the 3 places I personally trust to buy Sonys.

I have older pairs of both the 30Q's and brown LGs already (what I'd be replacing). Was really just curious about these Hohm Techs since I couldn't find a Mooch test on them, and if whether as a comparable battery (like the 26650 was to the other best ones) I would maybe give them a try to see they held up that "brand new performance" a little longer.

Currently making the battery lifespan trade off in favor of the Xtar's 2 amp charging, so possibilities like that kinda appeal to me.

If that works, he did test at least one of them.

Thanks, appreciate the link.

Curious to see the updated test results this week. For the sale price I'll probably still grab them though when i get home in a few. Give them my own "50 cycles in" test :)

Yeah. Not saying they are bad batteries, just not ones I'm interested in using right now. I think mooch is looking to test out the new 3 bridge versions.

WoW ! Mr. Suck did little more than just a "Drive By" mention of the Slice, and never even mentioned that it TC's any wire you can fit into an Atomizer. Where's the Love in that ?? Reviewers just don't appreciate what the FSK board can do, with the exemption of SirRichard of course.

Tbh, I'm just encouraged that a major reviewer actually mentioned it. Lol.

He actually did a full review of it earlier in the year.

Hello, I received my wrecker G2 but it keeps saying ohms restricted and connect atomizer. I tried 3 different atomizers (OBS engine, crown and some other tank from a local vape shop) on it but I can not get it to work. Any help and suggestions is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Reset the resistance. Check out the thread on this forum for new G2 owners. It covers practically every issue the new owner will run into. I believe its pinned to the top of this section.

I have tried every thing Sir. I might be wrong but it seems like the 510 connector pin is too deep inside and not making contact with the connector on the tank. Is there way I can adjust it?

The pin should be spring loaded. try pressing it down gently and see if it moves freely up and down. It might also be your 510 pins on the atomizers are too long. You could try not screwing them down fully and see if that makes a connection. Good Luck!

PS I would try cleaning the 510 with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol, you can also gently press on the pin with that at the same time to make sure it's traveling freely.

Cheers,
Steve

You reset the resistance by pressing the fire button with no tank on it until it says No Atomizer? Let me know and lets see if we can get this G2 vaping.

Yes Sir I reset it by firing it without an Atomizer till it says Connect Atomizer but it did not solve the problem.

Yes Sir I reset the resistance before changing the attys.
And none of the 3 are working? Try using a pencil and push down on the 510 pin to make sure it isn't stuck

Unscrew the atty until it is almost off, start hitting the fire button over and over and slowly screw down the atty at the same time

Ok, take a small screwdriver like the one that comes with your tanks and gently push down on the 510 pin and let me know if it has any play in it? Also, is the mod updated to the latest firmware?

I can push the 510 pin down and I updated the Firmware to FSK_G2_2.5.7

I'm at a loss. Give Jacob at HT a call.
