That's what I love about my RDTA... Best of both worlds!

That's just one of the MANY things I love about my Achilles RDAs.... they're RDAs in every functional way, so they're very simple, pretty much idiot-proof, but they hold 2.5ml, so they're like small tanks... without any of the many issues that tanks so often present.

My goal is to ensure that other obsessives can point to me and say "See? I am not that bad."

That's my excuse as well.

This looks awesome. I'm not a big fan of RDA's since I'm constantly on the move but as a mesh virgin I'd love to know how mesh compares and whether or not something like this is available in an RTA/RDTA.

Nice...... That's a serious piece of kit. I bet it weighs a ton though. I might pick up one of the clones and give it a test ride.

What I want to know is WTF is the difference between an RTA and an RDTA? lol. I like the idea of an RTA but so far I've not had one that beats dripping or squonking for flavor and clouds combined.

I used to say the same until I got a Vandy Vape Kylin...flavor, clouds...and dense, lush plumes at that.

And for that matter, the Syntheticloud Alpine is a beast.

Cheers,
Ian

The following are just MY definitions. There is no industry standard...

RDA: Just the deck... wee, tiny juice well... drip and vape, only.

RTA: Deck at the bottom. Juice is gravity/vacuum fed.

RDTA: Deck on top. Juice is fed by capillary action up the wicks.

GTA: Deck in the middle of the tank. Juice is fed through a combination of capillary and gravity.

Genisis: Deck on top, but not suited for cotton wicking. Wicking is stainless mesh, or stainless rope.

There are a couple of oddballs out there that mash up multiple features. For instance, the old Big Dripper had a full RDA in the base, a tank on top, and a spring-loaded drip tip on a shaft the opened and closed the juice flow to allow liquid to get the deck. Also, the Fountain which had a full RDA deck on too, and a 5 ml squonk bottle stuck in the base of the atomizer... squeeze the atty bottle to feed liquid up. The new Taifun BT uses steel rope (like a Genisis) to feed cotton in a deck with a mesh coil... weird, but very functional. The Shenray Genelocity does the same thing with a Velocity-style deck.

Count is up to a whopping 3 now. Picked up a tsunami 24 plus yesterday. First build is not impressive.

Don't forget my Awesome Achilles, which is an RDA... with a 2.5ml well! The build deck is VERY similar to a kayfun's, but a bit larger with more room to work -- i.e., EASY AS PIE!!!!!

I'm curious to know how many rebuidable devices you guys have. This includes RTA's and the like..I just got my first RDA and can see how potentially addicting it could be chasing the next new thing and trying to find the perfect vape experience. I love my RDA but I'm already feeling the itch to try something new..I'm going to control myself until I know my current RDA inside and out and learn all about building coils on it..but I got the itch..damn it lol
OMG! I have 6 and one on the way (it's a boy!) and I thought it was getting out of control, but reading some of these posts, I'm a duffer. Of course, I am always on the lookout.
Might I encourage LENDING some of your rigs to a friend or neighbor who may want to quit smoking? I lend out my subohm tanks and starter mods; I'm sure you must have some of those laying about. The more we grow our community, the better chance we have to fight draconian regs.

The only issue I see with that is that almost everything I have is def not newb friendly. I offered my smoker buddies at work a toot off my vape and they've all immediately coughed their asses off. I felt bad really. I was hoping they'd enjoy it and I feel like if anything I did more harm and pushed them away from vaping. One of my friends, we call him beard cause he has an epic red beard, seems interested in vaping but same thing with him. I'm at 2mg nic but I believe goons at any wattage just aren't for starters.

This does give me an idea though. I have a couple of those vapage vmods and a grip of extra coils, maybe those would make good loaners. Hmm...

I just got my son started vaping, using Kayfun Lite Plus tanks, and cartos. I still had a whole brick of XL standard-resistance (2.5-2.8 ohm) cartos, and those are GREAT for newbies, the draw is VERY similar to a cigarette. he had the coughing a little when he vaped some of mine with flash in it, but mine's also 86% PG. I made some for him that was 75/25 and no flash, and he felt a lot more comfortable. -- tried 70/30 first, but he felt a bit of that chest discomfort from the VG, so I tried out 75/25 and he does better on that.

An ejuice additive by FlavourArt; it improves throat hit considerably. TH has always been one of my foremost requirements of vaping, and Flash gives it to me though I've reduced to 3mg nic. I get mine from ecigexpress.com.

Awesome. Is it flavor neutral.

Hmm... yeah, more or less. I've noticed that the description of it at ecigexpress says it's a tobacco flavor, but I add it to all my sweet mixes, and it doesn't seem to affect the flavor at all, and I definitely don't taste tobacco -- which tastes kinda sour to me nowadays. It doesn't take much of it, so you really have to be careful; too much and it just makes you cough. You know the feeling if you get part of a black peppercorn stuck in your throat? That's "too much flash!" because the active ingredient in Flash is piperine, which is what makes black pepper "zingy". :D Still, not nearly as "hot" as capsicum, which is the "heat" of other peppers.

Not 100% sure as I am constantly finding ones I have forgotten about. I usually get them when they show up in a websites clearance or closeout section so they are very inexpensive when bought that way. This pic will give you a general idea of how many. It holds 60 with probably 30 more in use or hidden away until I find them.

I'm at 7 but I only use 4 ... Freakshow2, CoilArt Mage, Lush Plus & Pulse22. Leaning towards the Shenray Hadaly to be #8.
