How so? It's basically the same. The candidates are not nominated by the popular vote, they are nominated by the delegate vote at the convention. A candidate can still win the popular vote in the fifty states and lose the delegate vote at the convention.
Now to add to the confusion If I remember right, right before Obama went up for elections for the first time Acorn (Obamas Backers) owned the rights to the voting machines. The second time Obama went up for elections George Soros (Obamas largest supporter) owned the voting machines companies. I think I smell more than one rat.<sigh>
Election lesson #1... Your vote for president means nothing... doesn't count. It is a platitude and nothing more.
The president is elected ONLY by simple majority vote the 538 members of the Electoral College. <----- See that? That's a period.
Maybe a hypothetical example will help to illustrate.....
Candidate A receives 200 million votes and 268 electoral votes.
Candidate B receives only 1,000 popular votes, but 270 electorals.
In spite of Candidate A's apparent landslide victory, Candidate B is your new president.
That is our system. 528 people make the final decision on who will be our president.
The primary is the only election where your vote actually matters.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled delusions...

After the initial election to decide who will actually run for president, your vote doesn't matter (unless you live in a state where the electoral college member is supposed to vote the way of the state, then it matters very minimally).
