Her read is that GLP-1s work on the same reward circuitry as coffee, alcohol and social media: the nucleus accumbens and the VTA, the parts of the brain that hand out our motivation and our cravings. I have spent years meditating to loosen my grip on craving, and here a drug did it for me in a matter of weeks.
