4 Different Types of Strokes

Sens. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, Ben Ray Lujan of New Mexico, Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, and North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein are all politicians. But that’s not all they have in common.

These four men, who are not the typical age you might think of for a stroke, suffered such an incident. At 64, Hollen is the eldest of the group, followed by Stein at 56, Fetterman at 53, and Lujan at 50.

Though strokes in younger people are not common, they do happen. And because they come as a surprise, they can be overlooked — sometimes with disastrous results.

All adults should be on the lookout for the four types of stroke:

Ischemic stroke is the most common type, accounting for 87% of cases. It occurs when a vessel supplying blood to the brain becomes obstructed. Once considered rare, research now shows this type of stroke occurs three times more often than originally thought, primarily in men and older women.

Hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a blood vessel within the skull is ruptured and leaks. This can be caused by physical trauma such as a head injury, or a nontraumatic factor such as the rupture of an aneurysm, which is a ballooning of the vessel wall.

Silent stroke, or cerebral infarction, is likely caused by a blood clot that interrupts blood flow in the brain but has no symptoms. Silent strokes affect about 11 million Americans a year, and they double the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia. Atrial fibrillation and high blood pressure are major risk factors for silent strokes.

Transient ischemic attack, or TIA, occurs when a person suffers one or more symptoms of a stroke, but the effect disappears fairly quickly. This is not a minor event. About one-third of people who have a TIA go on to suffer a major stroke.

If you experience one of the warning signs of a stroke, even for a short time, call 911. Symptoms include weakness or numbness on one side of the body, drooping on one side of the face, difficulty reading words or understanding speech, slurred speech, sudden severe headache, nausea, loss of peripheral vision, and difficulty walking.

There is a major key to longevity that is missing in most people's lives and…



  • Is quietly sucking the energy out of your body…
  • Is driving disease…

… and you have no clue because it’s something almost no health guru even knows about.


And yet, it’s literally one of the major keys to energy and longevity.


What is it?


SPINAL POSTURE


Believe it or not, spinal posture is a HUGE factor in your health, your energy levels, and your longevity.


And almost NO ONE is talking about it or knows how to fix it (but keep reading, and I'll show you how you can!).


Here are some statistics to consider...


People with poor spinal curvature/posture are:



  1. 2.5 times more likely to die from atherosclerosis (clogging of the arteries)
  2. Twice as likely to die from pulmonary (lung-related) problems
  3. 1.44 times more likely to die from ALL CAUSES!


In case it’s not clear from the stats, this is a MASSIVE factor in the quality of human health!


For those interested in energy levels, consider #2 above… 2 times more likely to die from lung-related causes.


Why do you think that is?


It turns out that poor spinal posture (forward head posture and excessive rounding of the upper back) decreases your lung capacity by up to 30%!


Your poor spine posture is preventing you from getting enough air into your lungs every time you breathe.


Less air getting into the lungs… means less oxygen getting to your mitochondria…which means less energy is produced by your cells.


Plus, now your lungs have to work harder, your heart has to work harder…


And research shows poor spinal posture actually increases your "fight or flight" (sympathetic nervous system) activation, so your body is now getting LOCKED in STRESS MODE.


To make matters worse, this fact of the nervous system shifting into stress mode also increases anxiety and mood issues, and increases pain perception in the brain -- which means more headaches, more back pain, and more neck pain.


In short, this whole mess of issues from poor spinal posture is a major cause of:



  • Fatigue (low energy levels from chronic low-level oxygen deprivation)
  • Massively increased risk of heart disease
  • Decline in functionality later in life (loss of ability to get up and down from the floor, play with your grandkids, walk, run, ski, and even to go to the bathroom without help)
  • Chronic pain, chronic anxiety and mood problems (due to the nervous system locked in stress mode)
  • Dying much earlier than you should. Again, this spinal posture increases your risk of dying from all causes by 150%!


And just one more thing… consider that over two-thirds of people in the modern world HAVE the exact spinal posture that leads to all these issues!


As I said above, this is the single most overlooked factor in human health, energy, and longevity.


It is HUGE. And almost no one even knows about it.

New Study Validates CDC VAERS Safety Signal Analysis

Shows Increased Risk of Retinal Vascular Occlusion after COVID Jabs​

Central Retinal Vein Occlusion
A new study published in the Nature Portfolio journal NPJ Vaccines found an increased risk of retinal vascular occlusion (RVO) after receipt of COVID-19 vaccines. An occlusion is any obstruction in blood flow, which is typically caused by a blood clot or sometimes a narrowing of the the vein or artery. RVO can cause transient or permanent blindness, as well as blurry vision, eye pain and retinal migraines.
Here is a summary of the study’s results:
“Individuals with COVID-19 vaccination had a higher risk of all forms of retinal vascular occlusion in 2 years after vaccination, with an overall hazard ratio of 2.19 (95% confidence interval 2.00–2.39). The cumulative incidence of retinal vascular occlusion was significantly higher in the vaccinated cohort compared to the unvaccinated cohort, 2 years and 12 weeks after vaccination. The risk of retinal vascular occlusion significantly increased during the first 2 weeks after vaccination and persisted for 12 weeks. Additionally, individuals with first and second dose of BNT162b2 and mRNA-1273 had significantly increased risk of retinal vascular occlusion 2 years following vaccination, while no disparity was detected between brand and dose of vaccines.”
Prof. Retsef Levi of MIT explains the results in lay terms:
Following vaccination, there is a prolonged (12 week) increased risk of retinal vascular occlusion in all ages. In the two years, the risk of RVO is doubled, with 1 additional case for every 300 (65+) & 1000 (18-64) vaccinated.
The graphs of different types of RVO speak for themselves and show increased risk in both venous and arterial occlusions:

And what do you know? A quick scan of the CDC’s VAERS safety signal analysis the kept hidden from the public that I reported on in January shows large safety signals for:
- Retinal Vein Occlusion
- Retinal Artery Occlusion
- Retinal Migraines
- Ocular Discomfort
Retinal artery and vein occlusions are different types of RVO, both of which were increased by COVID vaccinations as seen in the graphs above.

This is not the only safety signal the CDC found that has been validated by more robust studies. To take one example, the appendicitis signal they found for all age groups down to 5 years old was previously validated by studies from the CDC’s VSD data and one of Israel’s large health insurers. There are other signals that have been validated by peer reviewed publications, most notably tinnitus.

The CDC created v-safe, a smartphone-based program, to collect health assessments after Covid-19 vaccination. Approximately 10 million people signed-up and submitted health reports after Covid-19 vaccination.

ICAN's legal team sued the CDC twice leading to a court order requiring release of the data. ICAN has taken the CDC's official raw data and created a dashboard interface which allows users to graphically view the 144+ million health entries obtained by ICAN.

[Podcast] Why modern medicine can’t fix chronic disease.

This is a very special podcast episode. A true must-watch/listen.

In this episode, I am speaking with one of my mentors and one of the biggest influences on my own thinking about health, Dr. James Chestnut, about the way modern medicine has developed to be completely drug-centric and divorced from any consideration of the actual causes of chronic disease. Fresh Greens & Sweet Potato Stew
(full recipe in this email below)
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 large sweet potato cubed
  • 1 large russet potato cubed
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 3 shallots sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large carrot cubed
  • 1 large parsnip chopped
  • 1 large celery stalk chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 3/4 cup green peas
  • 4 cups Swiss chard cut into ribbons
Directions:
  1. In a medium-sized pot boil 4 cups of water. Add the cubed russet potato and 1/4 of the sweet potato. Reduce heat and cook until the potatoes are soft. Drain the water but keep the water for use later. Mash the potatoes, mix in nutritional yeast, and set aside.
  2. In a large pot saute the shallots and garlic with a small amount of water for approximately 5 minutes or until the shallots are soft.
  3. Add the potato water, remaining sweet potatoes, carrots, parsnip, and all the herbs. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes or until the vegetables are soft.
  4. Once the vegetables are soft, stir in the mashed potatoes and cook for 5 minutes. Let the stew thicken. Add the peas and Swiss chard and cook for 5 more minutes or until the chard is wilted and the peas are heated through.
Note: Instead of Swiss chard, you can use spinach or collard greens. Add other vegetables if you wish.

Screen Time Hurts Kids’ Development

That arrested the development of his criminal enterprises. And Chicago was a different town when the con was released in 1939.

On the other hand, arrested development is a crime when it comes to your kid's brain.

A study from the University of Calgary found that a child's rapidly developing brain and thirst to learn new things come to a halt when he or she is stuck in front of a digital screen, performing repetitive tasks day after day.

Researchers tracked one set of 36-month-old kids who logged 25 hours per week of screen time, and another set of 36-month-olds who watched only 11 hours weekly. (In the U.S., children watch more than 16 hours a week on average.)

They then examined developmental test results in the same children at 60 months, and found that those with increased screen times showed poorer performances on developmental testing. The same held true for 24-month-olds tested again at 36 months.

But it's not enough to cut down on kids' screen time. Replace it with learning opportunities like reading a book or going on an adventure. It means a lot to a child's growth to spend face-to-face time with you.

One of the biggest concerns women with breast cancer have is the fear of a recurrence.
You have worked hard to put this journey behind you, and you want to move on and forget about cancer for a while. But at the back of your mind there is this nagging thought of “what if it comes back?”
I had those concerns after my first healing journey, because I did not yet understand the importance of monitoring the inflammation in my body. Inflammation is a root cause of all types of dis-eases, including breast cancer.
Here are four suggestions that I would encourage you to do:
  1. Don’t guess – always test. Ask your doctor to check your inflammatory markers like Hs-CRP, LDH, ESR and Homocysteine. He may not understand the connection unless he is an integrative doctor.
  2. Make sure you keep your Vitamin D levels optimal – between 80-100 ng/ml.There are hundreds of studies that show maintaining an optimal vitamin D level can improve your survival rate and reduce your risk of recurrence.
  3. Certain supplements like melatonin, blueberry extract, curcumin and broccoli sprouts have been shown to kill Breast Cancer Stem Cells, the “baby cancer cells” that are responsible for a recurrence and metastasis.
  4. Monitor your blood sugar on a regular basis to make sure you are not becoming insulin resistant.
