Sleep Apnea Doubles Risk for Sudden Death

Sleep apnea may double your risk for sudden death. The condition — in which a person’s airway is repeatedly blocked during sleep, causing pauses in breathing — may also increase the risk for high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, and congestive heart failure, according to a new study.

A team at Penn State University reviewed 22 studies that included more than 42,000 patients worldwide. Their review showed that people with sleep apnea had a greater risk of dying suddenly, and the risk rose as patients aged.

The repeated lapses in breathing cut off oxygen supply to cells, which can result in an imbalance of antioxidants in the body. This imbalance harms cells and may speed up the aging process, leading to many health problems, the researchers said.

The study authors said the findings underscore the urgency of treating sleep apnea. Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is the standard treatment for moderate to severe apnea.

CPAP provides a steady stream of pressurized air through a mask worn during sleep. The airflow keeps the airway open, preventing pauses in breathing while restoring normal oxygen levels.

A recent study published in the journal Small found that nanoplastics, fragments of plastic thousands of times smaller than a grain of sand, were able to invade brain cells that regulate reproductive hormones. Once inside, the particles disrupted hormone production, slowed normal cell development, and altered genes linked to fertility and puberty.

Researchers found that these particles:


  • Reduced levels of Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), the key hormone that triggers puberty and fertility
  • Altered hundreds of genes tied to reproductive health
  • Caused cellular stress and interfered with early brain development
  • Accumulated inside cells, raising concerns about long-term effects

Want to know what one of the most evil companies in the world is doing to keep their poison on the market?

Bayer (who bought Monsanto) – a foreign corporation – is working overtime to create a legal shield so no one can sue them if their product causes cancer.

The chemical lobby has immense power in Washington. A new report by U.S. Right To Know shows that they’ve spent over $9 million lobbying Congress and the executive branch in 2025. This is a must read. There is also a Bayer Lobby Tracker that will help anyone in Washington kick these guys out of their office.

And there are billions at stake here.

Nearly 180,000 lawsuits have been filed over glyphosate since 2018. They’ve already paid out over $10 BILLION. More than 60,000 cases are still pending.

And this chemical has been found in 60% of food in America.

So what are they doing?

They’re attacking this from every angle – infiltrating all branches of the government.

  1. Supreme Court
They’re asking the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn a jury verdict and rule that EPA approval protects them from cancer lawsuits nationwide. One ruling could shield them from accountability.

  1. State Legislation
They’re pushing state-by-state immunity bills through a front group backed by Bayer. Some states have already passed laws that effectively shut down cancer warning lawsuits. They’re turning EPA approval into a legal shield.

  1. Federal Farm Bill
Buried in the new House Farm Bill is language that would give the EPA exclusive authority over pesticide warning labels, stripping power away from the states. This is the same legal theory Bayer is pushing in the Supreme Court – but written directly into federal law.

  1. Executive Order
Just last week, glyphosate was declared “critical to national defense”. This is the first time a weed killer (let alone one facing billion-dollar cancer lawsuits) was labeled essential to national security. It puts federal power behind keeping glyphosate on the market and protects Bayer, who could say “we’re just complying with what the government told us to do”.

Representative Thomas Massie just called out Bayer on the house floor – exposing how the U.S. government is under siege by this German corporation. We need more of THIS in Washington!

This is one of the biggest fights of our lifetime.

Caramelized Broccoli Steaks with Tahini Lemon Drizzle​

These stunning broccoli steaks are rich in sulforaphane, a compound shown to protect against age-related diseases like cancer and cognitive decline by activating your body's natural detox pathways. The tahini drizzle adds healthy fats that boost absorption of broccoli's protective nutrients.​

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. To prepare the broccoli steaks, trim the leafy ends of the broccoli stems, leaving about 2 inches of stem attached. Place each head stem-side down on a cutting board and slice vertically through the head to create 3-4 "steaks" about ¾-inch thick from each broccoli head. (Save any florets that fall off for another use.)
  3. Arrange the broccoli steaks on the prepared baking sheet. Brush both sides generously with olive oil. Sprinkle with sliced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
  4. Roast for 15 minutes, then carefully flip each steak. Sprinkle with pine nuts and continue roasting for another 10 minutes, until the edges are crispy and caramelized and the stems are tender when pierced with a knife.
  5. Meanwhile, to make the tahini sauce, in a small bowl, whisk together the tahini, lemon juice, grated garlic, water, date paste, and salt until smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add water a teaspoon at a time until it reaches a drizzling consistency.
  6. Arrange the broccoli steaks on a serving platter. Drizzle generously with the tahini sauce, then scatter pomegranate seeds and fresh herbs over the top. Finish with a sprinkle of lemon zest and flaky sea salt.

Why Disconnection Is Making Us Sick​

We spend a lot of time talking about environmental toxins. Chemicals in food. Water quality. Light exposure. Noise pollution. But there’s another variable influencing human health that rarely gets framed with enough attention.​
Loneliness.​
I don’t mean the occasional quiet weekend, or chosen solitude. I mean a rising epidemic of chronic social disconnection.​
Large meta-analyses have found that social isolation is associated with a significantly increased risk of premature mortality. In some comparisons, the increased risk is comparable to smoking 15 cigarettes a day. Not metaphorically. Statistically.​
