I want to talk about something that doesn't get discussed enough in the health space: the real cost of eating well.

We all know that organic produce isn't cheap. Whole foods, quality ingredients, shopping with intention... it all adds up. And I hear from people all the time who say that eating healthily feels out of reach financially. That it's a luxury they can't always afford.

I understand that. And I think there's something we can all do that immediately makes a difference: stop throwing food away.

The average household wastes an enormous amount of food every week. Not because people are careless, but because life gets busy. You buy a beautiful bunch of kale on the weekend with every intention of using it, and by Thursday it's sitting forgotten at the back of the crisper, going limp. A few leftover herbs. Half a head of cabbage. Some spinach that's seen better days.

We've all been there.

But here's what I've come to believe: some of the most nourishing meals you can make come from exactly those odds and ends. A wilted green thrown into a pesto doesn't diminish it, it enriches it. Soft vegetables roasted in a tray bake with tahini become something extraordinary. A frittata, a soup, a shakshuka. These are the kinds of dishes that were built for imperfect produce.

Eating well was never meant to be about perfect-looking ingredients. It was meant to be about using what you have, wasting nothing, and finding the nourishment in all of it.

That's why I am excited to share 10 recipes for wilted produce - 10 of our favorite recipes specifically designed for the wilting, the forgotten, and the almost-past-it.

You can get the recipes HERE. >>

I hope it saves you some money this week and reminds you that real food doesn't need to be perfect to be powerful.

In good health,

Immunity Protects Your Heart

By Chauncey Crandall, M.D.

I’ve noticed that my patients suffer more heart attacks and other coronary incidents during flu season, though I couldn’t quite explain why. Now the science is catching up with those observations.

It’s long been known that heart disease is a risk factor for developing serious flu complications. Among adults hospitalized with the flu in recent seasons, heart disease was one of the most common chronic conditions reported. About half of the adults who are hospitalized with the flu also have heart disease.

But a growing body of research suggests that influenza infection can put people at increased risk for acute cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke — a finding the American Heart Association highlighted last winter. This evidence has been steadily mounting.

Special: 5 Powerful Methods to Enhance Your Health and Increase Longevity...

According to one study, people were six times more likely to have a heart attack in the week after being diagnosed with flu. The research, published in in the Annals of Internal Medicine, reported that sudden, serious cardiac events are more common in adults hospitalized with flu.

This study, which looked at more than 80,000 adult patients hospitalized with the flu over eight seasons, found that almost one in eight (12 percent) patients had experienced an acute cardiac event such as heart failure or coronary artery disease. Of those people, 30 percent were admitted to the ICU and 7 percent died while in the hospital.

In addition, a study published in The Journal of Infectious Diseases found that even mild illness caused by influenza virus infections are associated with a twofold increase in the risk of acute cardiovascular events in older patients.

So the flu not only makes you feel bad, it jeopardizes your heart as well.

You might be making your health worse without knowing it.

That’s what came up in this video interview.

Because nutrition doesn’t always “support” the body…

Sometimes they push it out of balance!

And that can make a massive difference when it comes to chronic diseases as serious as cancer.

For instance, we’ve seen cases where “support for inflammation or oxidative stress” actually showed up in labs as too much, not too little.

So instead of helping…

The system was being overloaded, causing things like weight gain, fatigue, hair loss, kidney stones, and more.

Your DNA is a major part of this.

It influences how your body processes and uses nutrients.

Which means the same routine can behave completely differently from person to person.

That’s why this video is worth your attention.

You’ll see how DNA-guided nutrition is helping people avoid unnecessary imbalances… and finally support their body in a way that actually fits how it’s built.

U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson created the very first Earth Day in 1970, after witnessing the horrible impacts of the 4.2M gallons of oil spilled along California’s pristine coast in 1969. “For twenty years, I have been trying to convince politicians that there was a rapidly growing interest, that it is a critically important issue, and, that they should address themselves to it,” he stated in a letter to the media in 1971.
“My objective was to have a massive nationwide demonstration to show the politicians of the country that there was a genuine grass roots, deeply-felt interest in the issue that crossed all political lines and all age groups,” Senator Nelson said.
Earth Day holds deep meaning for me personally, because nature isn’t separate from our lives. We are nature. For everything Mother Earth provides for us, respecting her requires small “baby step” actions every day. We can all contribute daily, even in the simplest of ways like picking up litter on a walk or remembering to put our reusable bags back in the car for the grocery store. 😉
In uncertain times, we should not be too cynical to celebrate Earth Day! Start with your own home and neighborhood. Be the change you wish to see. Take the pledge to go without pesticides, plant a tree, or join a clean up event. For more Earth Day inspiration, check out this map of events happening around the world. Hit reply and tell me how you plan to honor Earth Day? 🌎

What the Lights Going Out Taught Me

A couple weeks ago, my wife Riana and I were each working on our computers when a wind storm caused our area to suddenly lose power. In a blink, every electronic (including the screen we’re staring at) goes instantly dark. And at first, you’re of course annoyed. “What an inconvenience.” No Wi-Fi. No lights. No immediate way to “do” anything. We’re at the mercy of the power companies finding the cause and fixing it.
But after the initial frustration, something subtle began to shift...if you allow it. Without planning it, my wife and I were invited into a slower rhythm.
And after several hours of not knowing “Will this last days?” – in Montana you never know – we start to realize this is an opportunity.
I wanted to share these 7 power reflections that I had about our dependency on technology and the unexpected beauties that emerged when electricity is shut off…

This is a difficult topic for me to write about.

Why?

Because it is controversial, and many of you may not agree.

But I feel the need to raise it because, over the last decades, the money-driven manipulation has become increasingly obvious. It has pushed academia, personal freedom, and our health out of balance (to put it politely ...)

Money, special interests, politics, and corporate influence are shaping research, education, social media, and now even AI platforms.

Learn more here...

Let me give you an example.

Yesterday, I explored a new medical AI platform. After looking deeper into its ownership and financing structures, it became clear that it is funded and regulated by the largest medical institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and financial players in the world.

You might ask: what is the problem with that?

The real question is this:

  • Should healthcare be a profitable business?
  • Or should the well-being of people have priority?
  • Should the "disease management industry" dominate healthcare?
  • How do we know that AI companies are not using your personal data for training or selling it to the highest bidder?
  • How are physician prompts, search behaviour, and clinical attention being monetized?
  • If these 'monster platforms' dominate the AI healthcare market, where can we find neutral, independent, and unbiased guidance?
There's no doubt that AI is rapidly moving toward national and global influence, dominance, and control.

Are you okay with that?

Should we simply accept it and tell ourselves, “Well, it probably won’t be that bad”?

I am NOT okay with it.

I believe we need to take a hard look at our healthcare and academic systems and consciously decide who we support - and who we do not.

Be aware.

Read between the lines.

Become an independent thinker.

And take action accordingly.

For example, have you ever asked your physician or healthcare provider:

Do you offer evidence-based Lifestyle Medicine?

If not, consider finding other solutions because there is ALWAYS an option if you are willing to look for it.

At Lifestyle Prescriptions® University, we made the decision a long time ago to remain independent and financially autonomous.

  • Institutional Autonomy: No economic, political, or ideological control
  • Academic Freedom: No researcher censorship or donor-driven limitations
  • Financial Independence: Not reliant on any single industry
  • Epistemic Freedom: Teaching and research without external agendas
Our Lifestyle Medicine Summit, our Foundations, Certification, and Degree Programs, and our AI productivity tools are supported by our students - not by external corporate influence.

Yes, it makes things harder.

But it is deeply fulfilling.

And even more importantly, our AI platforms are HIPAA-compliant, with data never sold, never used for outside marketing or advertising, and never designed to push an ideology or agenda.

If this aligns with your values and your vision of how healthcare and academia should function, please SHARE this email with your community.

The Biomarker Driving Inflammation and Cancer
Understanding the terrain of your body is one of the most powerful steps you can take on your healing journey.

In this week’s Wellness Warriors podcast, functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner Ruby Tischoff explores the emerging role of galectin-3.
It is an inflammatory protein now being studied for its connection to cancer progression, fibrosis, heart disease, and chronic inflammation.

You’ll learn how galectin-3 functions in the body, why integrative practitioners are monitoring it as a biomarker, and how targeted lifestyle and nutritional strategies may help bring this key driver of inflammation back into balance.

If you are seeking deeper insight into the root causes of imbalance and more personalized approaches to healing, this conversation offers valuable perspective.

The Mediterranean lifestyle continues to be recognized as one of the healthiest ways to live, and that’s no coincidence. It’s built on principles that prioritize long-term wellbeing: local and seasonal foods, healthy fats, time in nature, daily movement, stress management, and strong social connection.

At the heart of Mediterranean nutrition is high-quality extra virgin olive oil. When produced correctly, olive oil is rich in antioxidants and healthy fats that support heart health, brain function, and inflammation balance. It’s used daily and plays a central role in both flavor and nourishment.

But food is only part of the picture. Mediterranean cultures emphasize walking, shared meals, laughter, and slowing down. Health is woven into daily life rather than treated as a separate task. This newsletter exists to help you bring those principles into your own routine no matter where you live.

By focusing on what’s simple, enjoyable, and proven, this lifestyle removes stress and confusion often associated with health and wellness today.

Warmly,

Our Lord warned us this day would come… but we didn’t listen...

“And He will shut up the heavens so that it will not rain.” — Deut. 11:17

Now, for many, it is too late!

The rivers are drying…

The wells are empty…

And America is running out of water.

But one man—guided by prayer—built a simple system… A God-given way to provide water when nothing else will.

And it may be the only hope for believers when the next seal breaks.

Watch this before it’s too late.

On April 27, Monsanto will be arguing before the Supreme Court that it shouldn’t be held liable for deaths and illnesses due to its carcinogenic Roundup weed killer. If they win, no one will be able to sue a corporation for failing to warn them of the dangers of pesticides—even if, like Monsanto, the company knows it’s peddling a deadly poison.
If you can make it to Washington, D.C. for the hearing on April 27, join the People vs. Poison Rally. If you come to D.C., please sign up for Moms Across America’s lobby day on April 28.
Help from home by reading on to find out whether your state is with Monsanto or its victims and taking action below.
Attorneys general from 15 states are siding with Monsanto: Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Utah.
TAKE ACTION: If you live in one of these states, send your attorney general and state legislators a strongly worded letter in protest.
mail

There’s an even more impressive group against Monsanto: Eight high-ranking former officials with the Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Senator Corey Booker (D-NJ), and attorneys general from 21 states: Florida, Ohio, and Texas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin.
TAKE ACTION: If you live in one of these states, send your attorney general and state legislators a letter to thank them for standing with Roundup-exposed cancer victims against Monsanto.
This case, Monsanto v. Durnell, will determine the future of food and farming.
If Monsanto wins, there will be nothing to stop pesticide companies from poisoning us with ever heavier doses of toxins that are making us sick, lowering IQ, destroying our health, and causing an epidemic of obesity and diet-related diseases.
Science has linked everything from cancer to autism to type-2 diabetes to pesticides, but federal regulators, in cahoots with the corporations, are doing nothing to protect us. The only place we’re winning is in the courts.
Juries have rightfully punished Monsanto for causing cancer while hiding Roundup’s harms. They’ve been giving Monsanto’s victims billion-dollar judgments, in hopes that, if nothing else, the financial cost of killing its customers will make it change its ways.
Unfortunately, Monsanto isn’t going to change. It’s been business as usual at the company since the 2018 buyout of Monsanto by Bayer, a German company with Nazi roots.
They want to poison with impunity, and, for all the talk of Making America Healthy Again, the Trump Administration and its Republican allies in Congress and the states are doing Bayer-Monsanto’s dirty work.
We need the Supreme Court to hold them back and confirm that people harmed by pesticides and the loved ones of those who have died have the right to sue companies for hiding the truth about their products.
The Supreme Court must consider the legal briefs it receives from state attorneys general. That’s why it’s so important that your state attorney general hears from you.
Wishing you health,

Hi there Jimi,

What if the key to restoring cellular health has been hiding in plain sight, embedded in the very peptides that regulate life across every living organism?

Bioregulators are short-chain peptides preserved across all life forms that restore proper genetic expression and cellular rejuvenation.

In the latest episode of the Gordon Medical Forum podcast, Dr. Nafysa Parpia sits down with Nathalie Niddam to discuss bioregulators, which were developed in the Soviet Union to preserve physiological function and resilience in aging populations and high-stress occupations. This includes military personnel, submariners, Arctic workers, and astronauts, by supporting organ-specific repair and adaptive capacity under extreme conditions.

They also discuss why sensitive patients with complex chronic illness often tolerate bioregulators when other interventions fail, and how proper sequencing based on terrain and hormone balance creates space for addressing infections and detoxification without triggering immune dysregulation.

FORUM LIVE Ask Us Anything: Mold & Mycotoxins

Join Dr. Eric Gordon and Dr. Nafysa Parpia on May 29th at 12 pm PT | 3 pm ET as they explore mold and mycotoxins, often overlooked drivers in complex chronic illness. Mold exposure is often the “house of cards,” with mycotoxins and other byproducts capable of disrupting immune function, amplifying inflammation, and intersecting with conditions like Long COVID, MCAS, Lyme, and other chronic infections.

Just as important as identifying these layers is understanding the order of treatment. In this live session, you’ll have the opportunity to ask your questions directly, including practical remediation steps, whether it’s possible to stay in your environment, or when stepping away may be necessary to support healing.

Dr. Crandall: Doubts About Alzheimer's Drugs
By Tricia Cooney Bresnahan
A major new review is raising doubts about a class of widely promoted Alzheimer’s drugs, suggesting they may not deliver meaningful benefits for most patients.
The new anti-amyloid medications, which include lecanemab (Leqembi) and donanemab (Kinsula), are designed to remove amyloid beta from the brain — a protein that forms toxic clumps in the brains of people with Alzheimer’s disease.
Editor’s Note: Undo Decades of Damage to Your Heart!
However, the study, published in the Cochrane Review, found that the drugs have little to no effect on patients’ cognitive decline and dementia.
Dr. Chauncey Crandall, director of preventive medicine at the Palm Beach Cardiovascular Clinic in Florida, says the findings reflect what he has seen in clinical practice.
Special: Doctor Discovers Sugar Control Method, Naturally
“I would agree with the report,” Crandall told Newsmax’s “Bianca Across the Nation.”
“It’s been my observation in my practice that we haven’t seen any bit of benefit in these drugs.”
Editor’s Note: Before You Take Another Statin, Read This!
Amyloid is a naturally occurring protein in the brain, but problems can arise when levels become abnormal.
“Amyloid is a protein. It’s normally found in the brain, and actually it can be beneficial in many ways,” Crandall explained. “But when it gets out of order, when you produce too much amyloid, it starts interfering with the nerves and the other function of the brain.”
Special: Stroke Risk Is Rising — Protect Yourself Now
Experts now believe Alzheimer’s may be more complex than previously thought, involving multiple factors beyond amyloid buildup.
“Sometimes these things are set off because of an infection or coronary disease or inflammation,” Crandall said. “We don’t have any real treatment.”
He added that once the disease has progressed, reversing it remains extremely difficult.
“I think there’s already damage in the brain and it’s just progressive,” Crandall said.
For families facing early signs of Alzheimer’s, prevention and risk reduction may be the most effective strategies.
“There are things that you can do — control your blood pressure, control your heart disease, get to a better weight, exercise, memory enhancement,” explained Crandall, who is also editor of the popular newsletter Dr. Crandall's Heart Health Report.
“These all will help patients that have dementia and Alzheimer’s.”
However, Crandall cautioned that expectations for current drug treatments should remain realistic.
“Once the disease has really gone forward in a dramatic way, there isn’t much that we can do to reverse it,” he said.
Alzheimer’s disease affects millions of Americans and remains one of the most challenging conditions to treat. While research continues, experts say a better understanding of its underlying causes is still needed.
“We do not understand it,” Crandall said. “And currently I don’t believe the drugs really work.”

Hi Jimi,

SUNY researchers just identified the real reason millions are losing clear vision — and screens aren't even close to the top of the list, yet the fix is easier than you'd expect.

In addition, a review of 40 studies found that there's bacteria in your mouth silently driving heart disease, Alzheimer's, and diabetes — and what most people do every morning is making this worse, but the truth is worth knowing.

Plus, researchers just uncovered a costly olive oil mistake that adults were unknowingly making — which erodes brain health over time, yet one change turns this around.

Hi Jimi,

Have you ever felt like your body is wearing down faster than it should?

Like your energy isn’t the same, your recovery takes longer, and things just don’t feel as easy as they used to?

And while many people assume this is just a part of “getting older”, that’s not the full picture.

What most don’t realize is that something deeper may be speeding this process up.

Discover the hidden reason your body may be aging faster than it should

You see, this doesn’t just happen on the surface.

At the cellular level, your body is constantly repairing, regenerating, and renewing itself.

But when certain internal factors are left unchecked, they begin to interfere with that process.

Over time, this slows down repair and accelerates wear and tear.

In fact, research shows that these factors can impact the very age of your cells, reducing your body’s ability to repair itself effectively.

Which means your body may begin to wear down faster than it should.

Even if you’re eating well, taking supplements, and doing everything you’ve been told to do.

The good news is, there are natural ways to begin working with your body so you can start restoring it more effectively.

That’s exactly what I’ll be breaking down in my upcoming live masterclass called The Missing Link to Healing, which is happening on Thursday, April 23rd at 4 PM Eastern.

In this session, I’ll explain what this hidden factor is, and how it influences your body’s ability to repair, recover, and age.

You will also learn:

Why your body may be aging faster than it should, even when you are doing everything “right”

What’s really happening at the cellular level when your body struggles to repair and recover

What the “missing link” to lasting wellness is, and how it determines whether your body restores itself or continues to wear down

Simple, practical ways to help your body move into a state where it can repair and recover more effectively

Jimi, you don’t have to accept feeling like your body is slowly wearing down.

Once you understand what’s really behind this, you can finally start addressing it in a way that actually supports your body.

Sign up for The Missing Link To Healing and start addressing what may be causing your body to wear down faster than it should

Wishing you health and happiness,

Episode 469: ACIP UPHEAVAL, AI DISRUPTION, AND MASTERING YOUR MIND
Today on The HighWire!

A Long Island family is battling Nassau University Medical Center to save their 23-year-old son, Tony Gestone Jr., after a devastating car accident. Tony’s parents and their attorney join Del live from the hospital room to share their story and the fight to transfer him to another facility.

Meanwhile, a major policy shift is unfolding inside the U.S. military. Officials have announced the end of the flu shot mandate, a move that could signal a broader change in federal vaccine policy.

Also on today’s show, a new study is raising serious questions about the effectiveness of blockbuster Alzheimer’s drugs, challenging whether billions of dollars spent on treatments are delivering meaningful results for patients and families.

Then, Del sits down in-studio with Dr. William Shaw, founder of one of the world’s most prominent diagnostic laboratories. Shaw reveals emerging research linking autism, autoimmune disorders, and ALS to glyphosate — the most widely used pesticide in the world — and explains why its impact on the gut biome may hold a missing piece of the autism puzzle.

Plus, Zen Honeycutt, founder of Moms Across America, joins the show ahead of the People vs. Poison Rally happening Sunday, April 27th.
