Smile, breathe, and go slowly.
Thich Naht Hanh

Dr. Joe Feuerstein has spent more time studying bladder leaks in women than almost any doctor in America.
He ran the largest natural health clinic in the country for over 15 years, teaches at an Ivy League university...
And has treated thousands of women dealing with leaks and sudden urges.
Across all those years and all those patients, one pattern kept showing up.
Women who'd already tried Kegels for months, cut out coffee, gone through bladder training.
Everything the standard advice recommends.
And the leaks kept coming.
The urge fired without warning...
And they'd quietly reorganized their entire lives around always knowing where the nearest bathroom was.
What Dr. Feuerstein found was that most of those approaches were working on the wrong thing.
They addressed the symptom.
Not what was actually causing it.
The source, in his research, is a specific breakdown in how the bladder sends signals to the muscles that hold it closed.
Standard treatments don't reach that. Most never did.
What kept working in his clinic was a rare plant from Australia that most American doctors have never heard of.
He studied it, built a formulation around it, and watched patients get results they hadn't gotten from anything else, after years of trying.
We reviewed Dr. Feuerstein's research and his formulation.
Of all the natural approaches to bladder control we've come across... this is the most clinically credible one we've found.
>>> Watch Dr. Feuerstein explain the plant, the mechanism, and what his patients experienced
To your health,
Beyond Organic Doctors

Get ironclad detox defense with GDtoxSel

It was the father of toxicology, Paracelsus, who proclaimed in the sixteenth century that, “the poison is in the dose.”

Translation: Even toxic substances won’t impact your health as long as exposure remains below a certain threshold. And in a perfect world, none of us would have to worry about crossing paths with a few stray environmental chemicals.

But of course, we don’t live in a perfect world. We’re bombarded by an avalanche of chemicals on a daily basis. And unfortunately, even the savviest consumer can’t opt out of this toxic soup. Read More

Did you know this familiar kitchen herb has a host of medicinal benefits?
With its fresh, slightly sweet aroma, dill (Anethum graveolens) has been used for centuries to support digestion, soothe infants, and nourish families.
I love tossing fresh dill into soups and pickling projects—but it’s doing a lot more than just adding flavor.
In today’s Herb Note, herbalist Sorrel Hartford explores 3 simple ways to work with dill, plus a few important things to keep in mind.

Tips for Cultivating Gratitude

By Chauncey Crandall, M.D.

Keep a gratitude journal. Every night before you go to sleep, or in the morning when you awaken, write down a few small things that you are grateful for, such as a talk with a friend, an outdoor walk, a visit with your grandkids. Reread your journal regularly, especially when you are having a hard time.

Write a gratitude letter. Write a letter to someone you haven’t seen in a while and tell them what their friendship means to you, why you appreciate them, and how knowing them has made a difference in your life.

Special: Gratitude May Help You Live Longer — Learn How to Harness It

Express gratitude. Let others know you are grateful for them by giving compliments or praising their kindness or other positive traits.

Volunteer. Being of service to others is a wonderful way to ease loneliness, make new friends, and feel connected to your community.

Perform an act of kindness. Bake someone a cake or run an errand for them; if he or she is alone, drop by for a game of cards or just to offer some company.

Focus on the positive. Reflect on the positive aspects of your life to generate a more optimistic outlook.

Go to church or your house of worship. There’s nothing like going to church and thanking God for your blessings to foster overwhelming gratitude. Establish this habit and keep it all year long for better heart health.

According to the CDC, more than 37 million Americans are living with type 2 diabetes.

And another 96 million have prediabetes, many without even knowing it.

When most people are diagnosed, their doctor prescribes medication to manage their blood sugar.

And while that may help in the short term, it rarely addresses the underlying system that determines how well any treatment can actually work.

Discover the real reason type 2 diabetes is so hard to manage, and how to naturally begin supporting your body at home

Because in many cases, it is not just about sugar intake or willpower.

There is an internal system in the body that quietly influences how everything works together.

This includes how your body manages blood sugar, responds to stress, and regulates inflammation.

You can think of it as a kind of internal “command center".

When this system is supported, the body becomes more responsive, more balanced, and more capable of doing what it was designed to do.

But when it is not, even the most disciplined routines can feel like they aren’t working well.

And the truth is, most people have never been shown how to support this part of their health.

That’s why I'll be hosting my upcoming live masterclass called The Missing Link to Healing, on Thursday, May 7th at 4 PM Eastern.

In this session, I’ll explain:

What this often overlooked system is, and how it influences blood sugar balance

Why the body can remain in a state that makes insulin resistance difficult to shift

Simple, practical ways to begin supporting your body more naturally from home

This live masterclass costs only $7 to join because I wanted to keep this training as accessible as possible.

But I also know that real healing doesn't come from passive listening.

It comes from people who are truly ready to engage and take action.

That small investment helps ensure that everyone inside the room is there with intention, and not just curiosity.

What we'll be covering has the potential to completely transform your life.

Here's what others have said after learning this:

“Following this approach helped me take my control back, and for the first time, I felt like I understood what was actually happening in my body.” - Donna Youngs

“Even after trying everything, I realized it wasn’t about doing more, it was about understanding what my body actually needed.”
- Lisa Nelson

If you have been feeling stuck in your healing journey, despite how much effort you have put in, then this is for you.

Register here for The Missing Link to Healing for just $7 and discover the overlooked system that may be the missing piece in managing your blood sugar and long-term health

Silenced: why 7 neurologists disappeared after discovering this

Hey there,

URGENT HEALTH BULLETIN: The video you're about to see was scheduled to be removed from the internet yesterday.
It's still online only because a federal judge granted a temporary injunction against its removal.
Why is the Medical establishment desperate to erase this information?
Because the MIT Brain Institute has documented 7,322 cases of seniors over 60 experiencing what medical textbooks claim is "scientifically impossible" - complete neural regeneration and dementia recovery.
[Watch The Controversial 7-Minute Presentation]
The $1.7 BILLION memory medication industry stands to collapse if this information reaches America's 7.2 million seniors.
Three pharmaceutical giants have already filed legal actions attempting to classify this breakthrough as "unproven treatment" - despite clinical evidence showing:
  • 94% of participants regained the ability to live independently
  • 88% showed dramatic improvement in memory recall tests
  • 98% reduced or eliminated prescription memory medications completely

Hi there! Happy Tuesday! I hope all is fantastic on your end.
Okay, I've really been focusing on fitness and health lately, and today, I have a great 5-day "Full Body Fix" event for you (it's totally free).
As we get older, most people just believe that our bodies start to slow down, and that feeling aches, pains, and stiffness, are just "normal"...it isn't.
The truth is, it doesn't need to be like that (seriously).
We can reverse the "aging" feeling, and get ourselves back into tip-top shape (regardless of age).
I remember my dad in his 90s, was walking 2 hours a day every morning (without a cane), swam every afternoon in the indoor pool (in their condo), and played pool (billiards) every night with his friends in the building.
Not once did I ever hear him complain about pain (I'm serious).
As you probably know, my dad is 103 now. :) I know, I can't believe it myself! So incredible.
So, don't buy into the "I'm getting old...it's normal to feel awful, stiff, in pain, etc." belief. It doesn't have to be that way.
You can do something about it.
So, I highly recommend you attend this 5-Day Body Fix event.
It officially starts this Saturday.
Go here to reserve your spot now.
Here's what you'll experience:
  • Simple and effective movements that heal your body and boost your vitality.
  • Proven strategies to naturally reverse the signs and symptoms of aging.
  • How to achieve the best physical condition of your life even if you feel stiff, sore, and tired right now… no gym membership needed!
  • The secrets to naturally reversing the feeling and appearance of age.
Go here to reserve your spot now.
Enjoy!

Stress is often talked about as something mental or emotional.

But what most people don’t realize is that stress creates a very real, physical drain on the body. Over time, it quietly depletes key nutrients your body depends on to function.

Magnesium.
B vitamins.
Zinc.
Vitamin C.

And when those levels drop, the symptoms start to show up.

Low energy.
Brain fog.
Poor sleep.
Increased anxiety.
A body that just doesn’t feel like it’s keeping up anymore.

This is where burnout begins. Not just from what’s happening around you, but from what’s happening inside your body.

In tonights video, I break down the biological side of stress and why so many people struggle to recover from it.

You’ll learn:

• How stress depletes essential nutrients and disrupts normal function
• Why chronic stress impacts your gut, hormones, and immune system
• The underlying reason fatigue and burnout persist, even after rest
• Key nutrients your body needs to rebuild energy and resilience
• Practical strategies to help support recovery from long-term stress

If you’ve been feeling run down, overwhelmed, or like your body isn’t bouncing back the way it should, this is an important watch.

Join me tonight at 6:00 PM CST.

Research Proving Vitamin C's Therapeutic Value in 200+ Diseases

Vitamin C is generally considered to be an important "nutrient," but its perceived value usually ends there. Only rarely does the public (and the medical profession) glimpse its true potential in the prevention and treatment of disease -- and this because, by legal definition (in the US), only FDA-approved drugs can prevent, treat and cure disease.

3 Common Kitchen Herbs and Spices for Anxiety and Depression

Mental health disorders are often treated with harmful drugs with a myriad of dangerous side effects. Studies show that you can look to your kitchen instead of the pharmacy to ease symptoms of depression and anxiety safely and effectively.

Researchers recently found microplastics in human brain tissue. Not trace amounts. Measurable concentrations that appear to be increasing.
Children's developing bodies are accumulating these exposures with even less ability to process them than adults. Every member of your household is operating in the same environment and dealing with some version of the same burden.
The good news is that this is addressed directly in The Anti-Inflammatory Solution, a free docuseries from Goodness Lover featuring 38 leading doctors and researchers. Dr. Joseph Pizzorno, one of the world's foremost experts in environmental medicine, shares the specific nutrient shown to help the body clear accumulated toxins. Another story that caught my attention involves artificial intelligence and early cancer detection, and this one is coming out of serious research institutions like Mayo Clinic and collaborators publishing in the journal Gut.
Researchers developed what’s called the REDMOD model, and they tested it on hundreds of CT scans across multiple hospitals. These were scans that had already been read as normal. What they found is pretty remarkable.
The model was able to detect early signals of pancreatic cancer an average of 475 days, so well over a year, before a clinical diagnosis.
In terms of performance, it identified about 73% of those early cancers, compared to about 39% for experienced radiologists looking at the same images.
And in some cases, it was picking up changes more than two years before diagnosis.
That matters because pancreatic cancer is one of the most difficult cancers we deal with. More than 85% of patients are diagnosed after it has already spread, and five-year survival rates are still under 15%.
So if you can shift diagnosis earlier, even modestly, modeling suggests you could more than double survival rates.
What this AI is doing is identifying subtle tissue patterns, what we call radiomics, that the human eye simply can’t detect.
This is a big deal, but it’s still research. It needs prospective validation and real-world testing, especially in high-risk patients. But it’s a clear example of where medicine is going.
mail
The last story is a reminder that small, everyday habits can connect to health in ways we don’t always think about.
There was a study published in the British Journal of Ophthalmology looking at 144 patients with glaucoma. Researchers measured eye pressure repeatedly over a 24-hour period with and without pillow elevation.
What they found is that about two-thirds of patients, roughly 67%, had higher eye pressure when sleeping with two pillows compared to lying flat.
On average, that pressure increased by about 1.6 mmHg, and blood flow to the eye decreased in that elevated position.
The thinking is that bending the neck forward compresses veins and interferes with normal fluid drainage in the eye.
Now, this is early research and it applies specifically to people who already have glaucoma. It does not mean everyone should get rid of their pillow.
But if you do have glaucoma, this is a practical reminder that something as simple as sleep position could play a role in managing the condition.
More broadly, it highlights how connected everything is. Sleep, posture, circulation, eye health. These systems don’t operate in isolation.
And it’s also a good reminder to get your eyes checked regularly. A lot of people don’t realize they have glaucoma until it’s picked up on routine screening.
Medicine is evolving quickly, but the takeaway remains simple: stay curious, stay informed, and always bring new information back to your doctor so you can make the best decisions for your health.

Lowland Streaked Tenrec

The lowland streaked tenrec is a spiky little critter (mammal) from Madagascar that looks totally punk-rock (looks like my days of frosted-tips and hair gel). When it feels threatened, it raises these quills and may charge, but its strangest power is how it uses sound. It can rub special quills together to make high-pitched warning noises, what they call “stridulation” that is rare in mammals. If you want the weirdest details in one quick read, click into this piece on the tenrec’s sound-making quills.
It spends its time hunting mostly worms and insects with its long snout. These animals are small and easy to miss, which is part of why they feel so mythical. If you want the simple overview on habitat, behavior, and daily life, this species profile is a solid click.

🧂Is salt BAD for you?

Want to boost your metabolism and brainpower? Electrolytes are key!
Electrolytes are specific minerals that facilitate an electric charge, which help your cells communicate efficiently – impacting how your body burns fat and functions.
Magnesium, for example, is critical to create mitochondria, your cells' powerhouses. Low levels therefore make it harder to burn fat (and nearly everyone is deficient, sadly).
Another electrolyte, sodium, gets a bad wrap. Studies show most sodium comes from unhealthy processed foods. But high-quality sodium, like LMNT uses, actually benefits your body. In fact, research suggests it acts as an "on/off switch" for brain chemicals that keep you sharp.
LMNT was formulate based on hundreds of data points to create the optimal ratios, which is why I personally take it every morning. It has no sugar or artificial ingredients like most brands. No wonder it's a favorite among athletes, executives, and health enthusiasts!

🌏 DEEP DIVE 🌏

Breathe Amsterdam, @ Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam

The Air We Live In

We mostly think of health through the lens of food. What are we eating? What oils are we cooking with? Is it organic? And those are all really great questions, but in the order of priority…should air come first? We can go weeks without food, days without water, and only a few minutes without air. In that sense, air may be the most commonly “consumed” thing in our lives, and yet most of us barely think about it until something smells weird.
I care deeply about air pollution, because breathing is at the foundation of all life. Every breath is an exchange between your body and the environment around you. And if the air is loaded with smoke, chemicals, synthetic fragrance, mold, traffic exhaust, or other irritants, then your lungs and nervous system are dealing with that all day long, whether you notice it or not.
This week is a fitting moment to talk about it. World Asthma Day was yesterday on May 5, 2026, and Air Quality Awareness Week runs May 4 through May 8. Both are reminders that respiratory health is not just a niche issue for a small group of “health nuts” or environmentalists. It’s an for you, me, your friend, your neighbor… because the quality of the air affects every one of us.

Hey there,

Move Your Body, Boost Your Brain

Why exercise might be one of the simplest ways to sharpen your mind?
Here’s a question worth asking: What if one of the best things you could do for your brain didn’t require pills, expensive gadgets, or complicated routines? What if it was something as simple as… moving your body? Or even walking slightly quicker?

A large new research review suggests exactly that. Scientists looked at hundreds of studies and found that exercise improves memory, thinking ability, and overall brain function. And this is across all ages. Here’s the kicker: you don’t have to run marathons or train like an athlete to see benefits. Even gentle movement can make a difference. Let’s break down what the research found, and what it means for everyday life.

The Biggest Study Yet on Exercise and Brain Health

Researchers from the University of South Australia conducted one of the largest analyses ever on exercise and cognition. Instead of studying one group or experiment, they performed an umbrella review. That means they analyzed results from 133 systematic reviews, which themselves included 2,724 randomized controlled trials and more than 258,000 participants. In other words: a huge amount of data. And the conclusion was strikingly consistent. Exercise improves:
  • General thinking ability (cognition).
  • Memory.
  • Executive function, ie the mental skills that help with focus, planning, and decision-making.
These benefits showed up in children, adults, and older people, and even in people living with certain health conditions. In short: movement helps the brain work better.

You Don’t Need Intense Workouts

One of the most encouraging findings? Low-to-moderate exercise produced some of the biggest benefits. That means things like:
  • Walking.
  • Yoga.
  • Tai Chi.
  • Light cycling.
  • Casual sports.
These forms of movement were especially effective for improving brain function and memory. Why does this matter? Because many people assume they need intense workouts to see real benefits. But this research suggests accessible activities can be just as powerful, sometimes more so. Even better, some mind-body exercises like yoga and Tai Chi appeared particularly helpful for memory. So yes, stretching slowly in a park or living room can genuinely help your brain.

Kids, Teens, and People With ADHD Saw Big Gains

The benefits of exercise showed up across all ages, but certain groups stood out. Children and teenagers experienced the largest improvements in memory. This matters because childhood and adolescence are critical periods for brain development. Physical activity appears to help strengthen the mental systems involved in learning and remembering information. Another interesting result: people with ADHD showed strong improvements in executive function. Executive function includes skills like:
  • Controlling impulses.
  • Staying focused.
  • Organizing tasks.
  • Managing time.
Exercise helped improve these abilities and reduce impulsivity. That suggests movement could be a useful complement to other ADHD treatments.

Even Video Games Can Help (If You Move)

Here’s a fun twist. Some of the strongest improvements in general cognition came from “exergames” ie, active video games that require physical movement. Think games where you:
  • Dance.
  • Swing your arms.
  • Move around a room.
  • Interact with augmented reality.
These games combine physical activity with mental engagement. That double stimulation may help explain why they’re so effective. It also highlights something important: Exercise doesn’t have to be boring. If it gets you moving, it counts.

Benefits Show Up Faster Than You Think

Many health changes take years to appear. Exercise and brain health? Much faster. Researchers found measurable improvements in cognition within just one to three months of starting regular activity. That’s surprisingly quick. The brain responds rapidly to movement because exercise can:
  • Increase blood flow to the brain.
  • Support growth of new neural connections.
  • Improve mood and stress regulation.
  • Boost chemicals that support learning and memory.
In other words, exercise literally helps your brain function more efficiently.

Why This Matters More Than Ever

Cognitive decline and neurodegenerative diseases are growing global concerns. Millions of people worldwide live with conditions that affect memory and thinking. That’s why this research is so important. If exercise consistently improves brain health, it could become a powerful preventive strategy and something schools, healthcare systems, and communities actively promote. And the best part? It’s widely accessible. You don’t need expensive treatments or special equipment. Just movement.

Science keeps delivering the same message: your brain is not separate from your body. When your body moves, your brain benefits. And the movement doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to happen.

Simple Ways to Start Today

If you want to give your brain a boost, here are easy ways to begin:

1. Take a daily walk

20-30 minutes of brisk walking is one of the simplest brain-friendly habits.

2. Try a mind-body activity

Yoga or Tai Chi combine movement with focus and breathing.

3. Break up long sitting periods

Stand up and move every 30 to 60 minutes.

4. Make exercise social

Walk with a friend, join a casual sports group, or attend a class.

5. Turn play into movement

Dance, play active video games, or explore outdoor activities.

6. Start small

Even a few short sessions each week can make a difference.
So there you have it. You don’t need to become a gym enthusiast to help your brain.
  • A walk.
  • A stretch.
  • A dance in the kitchen.
  • Yes, even walking slightly faster than usual!
These small acts of movement add up. And according to the science, your brain will thank you for it.
Yours in good health,

Foods You Should Never Eat Without Washing First

There's a strange grief in doing “the work” — in reading the self-help books, sitting with the gurus, naming the wound out loud — and watching the old patterns return anyway.

The stubborn inner voice that surprises you. The whisper that says you are not enough. The sorrow that arrives on an ordinary Wednesday, uninvited, as if it had been waiting in the next room all along.

I sit with this often. Maybe you do too. And I've come to suspect that what we call "stuckness" is sometimes the soul's quiet insistence that the healing it's after lives deeper than we are currently able to go.

I want to share something with you.

A friend, Fleet Maull, is offering a free online gathering from May 12–18 called Healing Your Deepest Wounds. He's gathered more than forty-five teachers whose work I trust — Bessel van der Kolk, Gabor Maté, Richard Schwartz, Kristin Neff, Diane Poole Heller, Daniel Foor, Sherri Mitchell, and many others walking this terrain with care.

If you resonate with my overly personal share above, I highly recommend tuning in :)

I don't believe seven days can instantly undo decades of patterning. The deeper wounds tend to ask more of us than any one summit can provide. And yet — sometimes we find ourselves in the right circle of voices, and something we didn't know we were still carrying begins to set itself down.

It's free. May 12–18.

The vagus nerve runs from your brainstem through your heart, your lungs, and your gut.
It is the longest cranial nerve in your body. And it is one of the most powerful regulators of inflammation that exists.
In a clinical study, researchers tested a specific way of stimulating it in rheumatoid arthritis patients. People who had been managing the condition with immunosuppressive medications for years.
75 percent reduced or eliminated those medications entirely.
Not by adding something new. By activating something already there.
The Anti-Inflammatory Solution is a free docuseries from Goodness Lover where 38 leading doctors cover what actually drives chronic inflammation and how to address it naturally. The vagus nerve, how to activate it at home, and the simple daily habits that turn down your body's inflammatory response are all part of the series. Streaming free May 25th through June 1st.
So thankful that you're making an investment in your health, your life and yourself.
Because health means everything,
mail
P.S. A nerve you have probably never thought about is influencing your inflammation every single day. This free series shows you how to work with it. Free until June 1st. Start Here.

Here’s the truth Big Beauty Brands don’t want you to know:

The vast majority of what really moves the needle when it comes to erasing fine lines, firming and lifting your skin, and fading age spots are not $300 toxin-loaded skincare products or invasive procedures.

They are:

1. Small skin-healthy habits that, when done consistently, nourish your skin from the inside out for lasting radiance and glowing results.

2. Eliminating a few surprisingly common habits that accelerate skin aging without you realizing it.

Research shows that these seemingly harmless habits are secretly sabotaging your skin health, accelerating collagen and elastin breakdown, and pressing fast forward on skin aging.

This new guide outlines it perfectly. It’s called:

The 15 WORST and 15 BEST Habits for Your Healthiest, Youngest-Looking Skin

In it, you’ll discover...

→ The most dangerous skincare ingredient sabotaging your skin (that’s extremely popular today)

→ The number 1 source of skin aging (and why this is actually GOOD news)

→ The two BIG cleansing mistakes most women over 40 make every single day

→ The relaxing 2-minute skincare ritual to reduce wrinkles, boost firmness, increase lymphatic flow, and calm inflammation (no products requires)

→ Nature’s top 5 skin-healthy superfoods for UV protection, hydration, collagen, and elastin

→ 4 ultra-hydrating skin-healthy beverages to moisturize from the inside out (and exactly how to make them)

Oh, and be sure to check out habit number 3, because this is something that over 90% of women are skipping daily.

However when done right, this simple habit can literally make you look decades younger (and save you tons of money in the process).
