Hi Jimi!
I have another inspiring healing story for you today...
Sasha Petrovic was diagnosed with aggressive, triple-positive breast cancer in 2015 at 41 years old.
She chose a lumpectomy instead of a mastectomy and opted out of chemo, radiation, hormone therapy, and Herceptin.
At first, Sasha was overwhelmed by fear. But with her husband's support, she began searching for information on how to heal.
She made radical changes to her diet, lifestyle, and mindset and started asking herself a powerful question:
"What can I do today to help my body?"

Along the way, Sasha found my website and the SQUARE ONE Program, which gave her more hope and encouragement.
Today, nearly 11 years later, Sasha is cancer-free and thriving!
I am so thankful to be a part of her healing story. I know it will encourage you. :)
Enjoy!

Tell Congress: Veterans Deserve to Know the Risks Before They're Prescribed These Drugs

mail
Jimi,
VA researchers have known since 2016 that stacking psychiatric drugs on veterans raises their suicide risk, and the VA's own Inspector General confirmed in 2024 and 2025 that prescribers often aren't disclosing those risks before prescribing. This oversight has cost too many veterans their lives.
HR 4837, the Written Informed Consent Act, fixes this. It expands the VA's existing informed consent requirement, currently limited to opioids, to cover antipsychotics, stimulants, antidepressants, anxiolytics, and narcotics, so veterans get clear, written information about risks and alternatives before treatment begins.
Full transparency about what's being put in a veteran's body is the most basic form of health freedom, and no one has earned that right more than the men and women who served. MAHA strongly supports HR 4837, but we need your help to get it passed.
The MAHA Action legislative tracker makes taking action simple. Click the button below, enter your information, and click "Send Message." It takes less than a minute to make your voice heard.

BILL SUMMARY

The Written Informed Consent Act

US HR 4837, the Written Informed Consent Act, directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to expand Veterans Health Administration Directive 1005 to require comprehensive written informed consent for five medication categories beyond opioids: antipsychotics, stimulants, antidepressants, anxiolytics, and narcotics. Veterans would receive detailed information about potential risks and benefits of these medications before being prescribed them. The bill strengthens patient communication and safety protocols in veterans' healthcare by ensuring explicit patient understanding and consent before treatment begins. Currently, detailed informed consent protocols apply primarily to long-term opioid therapy, leaving other powerful medications with less rigorous patient disclosure requirements.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Why MAHA™ Supports US HR 4837

This bill directly advances MAHA's core principle of patient autonomy and informed consent by ensuring veterans have complete transparency about the medications they are prescribed. Expanding informed consent requirements removes barriers to true patient choice by guaranteeing that individuals understand the risks, benefits, and alternatives before accepting treatment. Many veterans report being prescribed psychotropic and pain medications without adequate discussion of side effects, dependency risks, or alternative therapies, undermining their ability to make autonomous health decisions. By requiring written informed consent for these medication classes, the bill empowers veterans to participate meaningfully in their own healthcare and reduces the likelihood of unwanted or inadequately explained pharmaceutical interventions. This represents health freedom in action: patients informed, aware, and in control of medical decisions affecting their bodies.
