I believe in freedom of choice and education of the population. When possible, if there is an appropriate substitute, I'd always prefer to avoid acetyl propionyl and diacetyl in my juices, however, there are some flavors that I and others that vape my juice enjoy and it is up to them to make an educated and informed decision about what they vape. I use full disclosure with all my juices and am in the process of adding a blog/news feed to my site to reference more educational articles for those that are not fully aware.
Billions of people do things everyday that are much worse for their bodies than vaping diacetly in minimal amounts, not justifying or saying it's negligible, just saying people should have the right to choose.
I would rather offer these flavors, as when it comes right down to it, I'd much rather have someone vaping a juice of mine that contains AP or diacetyl than going back to an analog cause they can no longer find flavors that suit their needs.
Just my two cents.
That being said, the V2 substitutes TFA and CAP have been using (butyric acid in replacement of AP/acetoin) don't even come close to cutting it for me personally. They smell and have a bit of a taste similar to that of artificial vomit...I've managed to make them suffice in small amounts, but can't make a predominately vanilla custard vape out of anything without using the 'bad flavors'.
