Of course I would also like to see a 4 to 5ml Atlantis. If you can get past the looks I think the Subtank is great, I just can't get past the looks.
Try this with your Atlantis Drone. Screw the coil head into the chimney first instead of the base. Then fill to top of the glass and then putt the base on the coil and seal it all up. You can get 4mls in there this way. Just watch the wicking holes when you tighten it all up and make sure they stop exposed in the slots of the chimney. I do mine like this everyday and it works great. Full to the top with about 4mls when you turn it over every time.

I tried this and the coil didn't make a connection with the base, so my mod was saying 'check atomizer', I've put a new coil in since, so maybe I should try it again.

I've had one for two days and it's a well made device that vapes good with no leaks or other problems so far.
The RDA deck is just like a Kayfun and I never liked that design, (but that's me, I know others love their KF) the stock coil heads are nice though.
But that 25mm size is goofy!!!! What was Kanger thinking?
I really hope they come up with a 22mm version with no RDA deck. Then it'll rival the Atlantis for on the go convenience.
If I want to build coils I've got plenty of atty's for that.
So for now when I go out to work I still grab my Atlantis and leave this monster at home to play with.

Well said IMO. So you're diggin' your Atlantis as a no compromise travel atty @Steam Powered?

When it does that pull the fire pin out of the coil housing and put a O ring from an old drip tip under it and push it back in. It's the same diameter as a drip tip and it'll sit right on top of the original insulator perfectly.
This will extend the pin a little to make connection with the base pin.

No small praise!
Yea, I pull doubles and if I try to drip or load a tank going down the road with those wiggle wagons behind me well....it ain't pretty! So yea two of 'em pre loaded gives me hours of vaping without making a special stop to fiddle around with my gear.

Someone came out with a much larger tank for the Atlantis but it's ridiculously priced , FT should have a larger tank any day for a lot less.

I looked at the Atlantis, the lip on the bottom portion of the atty indicates that the designers are intending to put a larger after market tank on the unit. I bet those will come out just around Christmas time at a butt-fuck price, maybe not as bad a $30, but close.

The pressure of the base seal ring did force juice through the tube and out the top though a bit of a mess, but it is FULL.

I got my Atlantis on Friday and have been in disbelief on how good it works ever since. I can't wait to take it to work and show the " Strictly Driplys". This thing even clouds at 5 watts!

I don't know what device your firing it on. I'm using a Sigelei 100 and I wouldn't hit it over about 45watts or it'll burn the wicking and taste burnt till you change coils. I fried a couple of coils when I first got it just to see what it'd do. Also saturate a new coil real well when you first put it in, then break it in slow. I start one at about 20 watts and work my way up the first day to my sweet spot at 37-38 watts.

I just did the " coil in chimney first" fill in the atlantis and it seems to work fine.

If you're going to fill this way don't screw the coil all the way into the chimney before filling. It will still block the juice from leaking out the drip tip just fine, but it will make sure you are making good contact between the bottom of the coil and the 510 pin in the base. It will make contact with the base and then screw the rest of the way into the chimney as you're tightening.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but the Sub Tank with the pre-made coils is not a good fit for running on a mech mod. With a fresh charged battery in a mech and the 0.5ohm head you will be pushing 35watts and burn the coil pretty quick. Better suited for a regulated mod that can set power to a lower level. So if you intend to run on a mech, you might want to consider this. Should be no issue if you use the build deck and build for 35watts.

Also agree the clone needs to be cheaper than $39.00 , rather get the real deal for $10.00 more .
Especially for items like the Altantis, where the real one, has real coils, and the fake has wimpy suckass coils. When I bought my Nat Mini, the clones were the same price as real anyway, if you found good sale....which is not hard, there is even a good deal blog which makes it very easy.

I got this baby in the mail today....boy oh boy its one heck of tank/RDA I don't even know what to call it. Nothing on the market compares to it,this device is killing all competitions (Atlantis, lemo, kayfun, and orchid) its the best out right now

will be interesting how long the coils last.....but the coils were supposed to work in the new AeroTanks.....just NOT in the mini pro 3, and mini Aero
They redid the coils several times.. they are no longer backwards compatible..

Am I the only one that's not getting hardly any flavor for the Atlantis??
.5 ohms at 30 watts and I can't taste anything. I then put my Nautilus Mini on at 20watts and there's flavor for days (well not days, but you get my point).
Am I doing something wrong?

I've heard some rumors on a Kanger 22mm Sub Tank. That would be really great. Has anyone heard anything about this?

None to date. I suspect that they may have a mini version on next release of V2 Subtank with an overall smaller tank. For now, they offer the 22mm adapter that you attach to the bottom converting the 25mm into 22mm, it's included in the box.

I think this is the best tank on the market right now. I am very impressed with it. A friend purchased one recently and I had a chance to test it out. Very good draw, pure flavor, strong vapor and extremely versatile. I don't see how this tank could be compared to the Aspire Atlantis, even though there seems to be a lot of interest in comparing the two, there's very little correlation. The Atlantis holds 2ml of juice, not good, since you'll be on a sub ohm 0.5 coil vaping at high wattage, draining your battery and juice very quickly. The Kanger Subtank holds 6ml 3x the capacity of the Atlantis. The build quality is better, the pyrex glass is thicker, better threading a spring loaded pin to make good contact with the battery. It's far more elegant looking. Coils are wicked with Japanese organic cotton which is exceptional wicking material giving you superb flavor. They include a complete RBA kit so you can build your own coils with clear instructions. This will work very well for people who lacked the confidence to try custom builds and can now take the first step in making their own coils, exploring their curiosity and ultimately gaining satisfaction through personal achievement. I was also informed by a trusted source that these tanks are compatible with the older dual coils, so you can continue to use the coils you have for the Aerotank series. This is a major accomplishment by Kangertech.

Yes, it is. Just call your new baby "K" and tell people you adopted him from China.

Considering all the grief the got on their first two coils, and then fixed it in weeks......and all the grief they have on the 25mm, the 22mm designs should be in the market in about a month is my guess. They had to be working on the mini version at the same time as the current.

I think the only question is, will the mini just have the ability for the coil, or are they going to make the world's smallest RBA option of a tank. One coil.

I thought I heard in Phil's review of the Subtank that the mini will only take the pre-built coils and not the RBA option.

I got mine in yesterday from MFS (could not resist their 20% off sale) and it has been working wonderfully. Using the pre-built 0.5 ohm coil. Best pre-built coil I've ever used bar none. Going to try the RBA option when I have some time but the stock coil has been working so good that I'm not in a hurry.

Going to pick up another one since Surevapes has it for $38 shipped with their current coupon. I don't mind the look of the larger diameter given the benefit of having a larger capacity.

Also, the heads look like they will be easy to rebuild even without wrestling to get the top cap portion off:

You raise some good points. I would guess that they will steer more towards a smaller RBA option since that is one of the features that make the Subtank so unique and standout from everything else out there. Originally it was a (BPDC) bottom plane dual coil with the option of backward compatibility but they likely realized that sub ohm coils already exist for the Aerotanks and instead went with the organic cotton single coils. I thought that was a very smart move on their part to preserve battery life and juice while giving the end user more options to work with outside of being locked into the .5 ohm limitation. I would like to see 1.8 and 2.0 resistance coils with the Japanese organic cotton. I'm sure they will come out with more options with time. But for now, you can build your own coils using any wicking material you choose. From what I've seen of the new proprietary atomizers they appear to be easy rebuilds, much like the Protank/Evod coils were, so that's another option. Then there's the option for people who don't want to bother with either and just use the Aerotank coils already on hand, screw them into the base and you have a bottom dual coil tank with a huge 6 ml for juice. It's really hard to fault this tank with anything offering so many options in one package. Kangertech is on the ball so I'm thinking like you, they are already looking into the mini, if they haven't put it into the works just yet. If the next version is smaller around 3ml for juice and 19-22 mm diameter with all the same specs it will be the pinnacle of perfection for me. Until then, I will buy this tank for all the assortment of benefits it has to offer now. This may actually retire all my other tanks which I never thought would happen. Since the Protank 2 this company has been stabbing forward like a runaway train.

The RBA is strictly for the coils you build converting the tank to the RBA mode. The standard tank mode will take the .5 and 1.5 ohm along with the older dual coils for the Aerotanks, the upgrades with enclosed wicks. The mini is mere speculation for now since we don't know exactly what Kanger will bring forth next but I feel a strong instinct they will do what Aspire did with the Nautilus and reduce the sized for portability. Proprietary coils look very easy to rebuild, no chimney to pull out and easy dismantling. When the Turbo came out for $60 with the quad coils I had mixed feelings but I know many people wanted to try it, so I helped direct them to the best place to get a good deal. It didn't impress me. This tank on the other hand is the best tank I have ever seen in all my years of abstinence from cigarettes. $40-55 price point is more than fair for all that you get. The Aspire Nautilus still sells for around $40 in many places, locally my B&M charges $65 for it. The Kanger Subtank I believe will fold the Aspire, Kayfun, Russian etc.. If there is such a thing as a tank killer, and people like to use that word, I personally don't but if there is going to be a game changer for tanks, this is one hell of a revolutionary tank that deserves all the praise it's getting. I'm going to get one for a friend for Christmas and one for myself.

Yeah, I'm aware of the adapter thingy, and I can see it is necessary for many devices to even be able to use this tank, but I just don't like the gargantuan looks on any of my mods. This is not a slam on the tank at all, just a personal preference. I really don't like overly large devices is all. And for me this is overly large. So I'll wait on the smaller version.

I think that's reasonable. I'm the same way just a personal preference for smaller tanks. I like my tanks at about 3ml but I'm still going to get this tank until the Mini version comes out, which it may or may not but I think Kanger will follow through, they are fine tuned to their consumer base far more than Aspire. I would imagine they will have something out within the next 3 months or maybe sooner. This is one amazing tank that's for sure. It takes a lot to catch my eye and this was one giant leap from the Turbo tank. I'll get this 6ml and the mini when it comes out and probably not buy another tank for a very long time. This is it:)

I love my sub tank, going to try to build a single .2-.3 coil for the RBA this weekend. Defiantly a kanger fan here. Seems 20w-30w is where the sweet spot is with the stock .5 coil.image.jpgimage.jpg

on the coils, for someone that has one, can I just pull and push out the wick, and rewick one like that. Seems that it should easily. On tank coils I seldom, very seldom, have the coil fail before the wick becomes useless. Certainly true for BVCs. If I can just re-stuff wick, I will be getting it over the Aspire for sure.

Ya, you can rewick it really easily.. Its a fairly large diameter coil.

I am super stoked! I have been lurking on this site for a couple of months now but can't wait until my new Sub Tank and segeili 100w + gets in. My wife is spoiling me for Christmas. I have resisted upgrading since I started vaping, but now this new smorgasbord of options from a single FAIRLY inexpensive item has pushed me over to the dark side of oversized, over powerful and overpriced vaping parifanailia. I am currently setup with a jm 18 mech which runs 14500s and either an aero tank or a mini pro3. I have not bought anything besides my 1 mech or a silly mini rda that I use occasionally that wasn't Kanger tech and now the sub tank has redeemed Kanger for me as the Atlantis or an orchid was starting to look really good and was going to be my next big purchase.

Btw, I don't see very much love on here for MVS but I have had really good luck with them on the purchases made through their site. (segeili 100w+ for under $100.00)

Re wicked mine today, took a generous hit at 30w and burnt the wick. Only took about 5 mins messing with wick thickness to get it right. The coil on the inside is a 4 wrap spaced, could rebuild the whole thing very easily.

I was going to ask that question, on wattage. Seen too many reviews with wattage going from 14 to 40 and wanted to ask a real person. laughs, 20 to 30 sounds closer than what I had picked up.
