"Son Of A Marine!" (An epitaph slung at me by my CC in basic. He knew it irked me. It was usually given as "I know you won't quit you, ...", or "I'll be damned, the .... does it again!" It irked me in the sense that it was a challenge, something to live and exceed beyond. My CC was a bubblehead/submarnier and he took me under mentorship to guide me into that.)

Because I have to, ... *chuckles* "The only good Marine is a sub-marine-r."

Consider though I was brought up in an Army family. Didn't know my dad after 2 until age 17. By then he had no hand, say. Knew a man that was broiler tech for Navy. I decided on Navy of my own. To me it's all one Big Green.
