I have a sleeping disorder, so I've made a special bed room that is light proof and pretty much sound proof. Last night was a pretty good test of how good it is.

Picked the bedroom with just one window, put a 2nd ,think piece of glass 5 inches from the original pain, then use a wool blanket to cover that to make it total dark. Put extra ,egg crate foam insulation in the walls. Got my two sons to move out. Large pictures on walls. Got rid of "tick tock clocks". Blew in about a foot of insulation in the attic.
And most important "Take 10mg of Ambien".

but the sound proofing was a great idea bet it works!

It didn't help me, so I had to get the Ambien. But it is nice to have a dark and quiet place to sleep.

Sleep problem as well, the ambien helped me fall asleep but not stay asleep, up every hour. I need to look into a dark room setup and alternatives.
