Is it worth making your own juice? How does cost compare to buying? How much would i have to spend to make 90ml vs buying 90ml

Yes absolutely.. a lot depends also on what you wish to make and the path you take with it. But if you start off just making a couple of good recipes and only buying flavors as you need for a recipe to try.. then it's very cost effective.. if you get into DIY and want tons of flavors it can cost more. but compared to smoking it's very cost effective.. I can make 120 ml's of a juice I really like for about 75 to 90 cents. Others may cost as much as 1.75 ;p

Initially it will cost more to get started buying flavors, PG, VG, NIC, scale, syringes, bottles, etc.
How many flavors you buy at first, and will you even like them?
Can you make 90ml of juice that tastes good right off the bat?
Bit of trial and error, and buying + trying more flavors + time + patience, it will happen eventually.

But those of us that have been doing DIY for some time now, can make 90ml of good juice cheaper than vendor stuff.
I only make 15ml batches tho cause I get tired of the same thing.

And buying VG/PG/NIC in larger quantities saves some $$ over the long term.
Could easily spend 100.00 on flavors, and another 100.00 on PG/VG?NIC alone.
But you can start with smaller amounts to just try it out.

Due to all the new FED regs. on E-Juice it would be quite a pain.
And many of the smaller shops are closed, or will be soon.

But nothing says you couldn't make juice for a few friends and/or family on the side.
Store front or internet sales not so easy anymore.

Ok one more question, i like cereal flavors, like treasured blends rainbow milk, so how would i go about making that? Is it a flavoring that i buy or a mixture?

Most likely it's a house blend of several unknown flavors, you would have to try and "clone it", which can be quite frustrating and time consuming.
Not knowing what that one tastes like myself it's quite difficult to guess.
But...
A couple of different brands make a "Rainbow Sherbet", (FW)Flavor West being one of them.
Rainbow Sherbet is usually a mixture of several fruits, but it also could be a "home brew" of several different flavors and/or brands.
(CAP)Capella makes one called Cereal 27 that's a cereal type.
(TFA, or Fa)The Flavor Apprentice makes one called "Crunch Cereal", or sometimes called "Berry Crunch" that's pretty good even alone.
TFA Dairy Milk is good for adding some "Milk" for cereal types.
FW Hazelnut is also used in many cereal types.

i make around 600ml at a time and cost is around 20 bucks (ball parking it).
i do 1-2 mg nic so really its only a fee drops per 30ml and around 17 drops per 60 mls... nic lasts me a long ass time usually it oxidizes by the time im getting into the final stretch of the bottle.
juice costs around 2 or 3 cents per ml to mix if you get larger bottles of stuff.
it depends on the brands you buy. i personally like ecx nic, pretty damn good if you ask me and cheap to boot!

If you are even considering diy, just do it. Sure there will be a $200 investment up front, but that cost (4 cartons of cigs or 20 bottles store bought juice) will probably last you at least a year and beyond. And purchases beyond the initial one are much less. Just becomes about maintaining inventory.

You can absolutely get started diy for less than $200, but after your first couple purchases and figuring out which flavors you like, will probably be around $200.

$200. You got ripped off... I think i have a grand total of about $25 invested in supplies not counting liquids. Ingredients have cost about $200... in total over the last year.

If you already have all of your hardware and base, sure, but $200 is a goodish estimate for a startup with plenty of flavor choices.
You'll want to target what base you want. 70/30, 50/50, 30/70, 25/75? In the case of high VG, I was targeting a 20/80 base that would mix down to around 25/75 with PG based nic and flavors. So, I bought a gallon of VG, $25, give or take, right there. Half a liter of PG ws something like $10. And 120mls of 100mg was about $15. So, we're already at $50 and still haven't looked at flavors, scales, syringes, bottles, etc. $200 is a good start. With that $200, however, you should be able to get around 4,000ml (4 liters) of juice, which works out to 5¢/ml, which will drop as you go and don't need to rebuy things like scales, bottle, funnels, syringes (at least not as often for some). And, you'll also figure out what flavors you want and use and won't be buying as many "testers".

Yeah, but you said $200 to start.......... I started with a $35 dollar order that included syringes, flavorings, VG PG and Nic base. I already had a scale. Since I have spent about $60 every 3 or 4 months to restock.

Yes.... DIY is cheaper, at least 50% and as much as 90% cheaper and worth the effort.

Yeah, but you said.....

So I said $200 will last the first year. And beyond.

You said $35 initial investment. Plus $60 every 3 or 4 months. So,
Initial order:$35
Second order 3 months later: $60
Third order three months later :$60
Fourth order three months later: :$60
= $215 first year. Plus you already had a scale. So add another $10 for those less fortunate.

Math is hard. You musta got ripped off.

So, we basically spent the same amount in the first year. I fail to see how I got ripped off and you are somehow much smarter than me.

I was simply trying to give this guy a realistic initial investment. Not lowball him so he gets frustrated when he realizes that he can't do a whole lot with $35. Sure, it can get you started, but absolutely bare minimum and you better be damned sure you like the flavorings.

i use the drop counting method cause im a lazy ass but the juice tastes good as hell anyway... so that reduces costs for me lol.
only thing i measure is the vg and pg, which i add last.
