You really do kinda have to tinker a bit from RDA to RDA to strike that optimal balance of airflow surface area, heat capacity, and heat flux. That first build you have, I actually like a lot in my Mutation X V3. I run it on a mech, so it's pushing a little over 90w, assuming your diameter is about what it looks to be to me. It's a pretty warm vape, but not overpowering. Very dense and smooth... ...milky, really. Quite tasty, too. The MX V3 also has noticeably tighter airflow and a smaller chamber, though. That build's more optimal for it. Less airflow to it a bit more readily. Too much more wire for your power and it gets too hot. The coil overcomes the airflow on it.
I've also tried that exact build in the troll. I found it pretty underwhelming. Even at full power, it's a weak, yet hot vape. The troll is too spacious and it pulls in too much air. So those scorching little coils wind up yielding a lesser amount of hot, concentrated vapor. 6 wraps would be a no-go for me. They completely don't heat up enough to keep up with the troll wide open. It's a completely different animal.
I think the troll performs a lot better with 22g. It's hotter overall, but that's what the wide bore drip tip you can get for it is for. Another option is a chuff top if the proprietary one's too wide. It helps counter all of that heat extra heat by allowing you to take better advantage of all of that side airflow. I find that a low-resistance 22g dual-coil has the heat and surface area to keep up with every bit of the air a troll can pull across it. My preference is between a .16 and a .2, usually 6-8 wraps around a 3/32. Play around with that 22g and see what you can come up with. If you wanna go up a bit in the ohms, then bear in mind that you will need more wattage to heat them up, which might actually be interesting on that setup.
As has been said before, it's a cloud chasing atty. It's designed for thicker, super-low-resistance coils. Give it what it wants and it will reward you. I don't think it's the best at what it does, but it can be pretty damned good at it. Have more faith. I will admit that there are better options for flavor, though. It's moderate at best.
Also as has been said before, make the bottom leg your long leg so you can hang some wick over it. Just enough wick in there to comfortably touch the top and bottom of the inside with ends resting on the bottom of the deck. And of course, put your coils close to the air holes and dead centered vertically.
I third the recommendation of twisted 26. That, I find has at least as much vapor and much more flavor than the 22. It can spit, though. Never bothered me much, but for some people, the spitback's too hot. Dual-parallel 24 is also an option somewhere in between the two.
Did I mention high-wattage? Yeah, it's pretty much a necessity to get the most out of that atty. Just my 2 cents.
