LMAO - dying laughing re: potatoes...

OK, so here's what I am looking at:

Russian 91% - Polilshed RBA Tank -> $93
IGO-W RDA -> $17
28g Kanthal A1 Wire -> $2
Koga Japanese Cotton -> $6
Digital Ohm Reader -> $18

About $136

I already got my base mixing supplies and a crapload of TFA flavors in 8mL bottles.

I did hear about the distilled water cutting - heard it works well.

I don't plan to use the nic until I get the taste down. That stuff is way to expensive and dangerous to use, until I am absolutely ready for it.

Thoughts on the buylist?

Nicer, accurate and cheaper, $14.71

And as for tanks, imo this kayfun is the best there is. Better than a Russian. I have both and other versions besides and this has the deepest juice channels and best air flow I've experienced from them all. It's made from a different manufacturer than the others. It's the only one I'll buy now. Oh, and it's $18.67 http://www.fasttech.com/products/3028/10006473/1559100

Wow those are WAAAAY cheaper! If a clone should be considered, I'll stop by my vape store on my way home today. I know he sells a lot of clones and whatnot. If he has one that's reasonable, I'll pick it up.

Thanks again everyone.

Do watch the manufacture on the kayfun try to stay on one of the 4 major clone companies like , tobecco, ehpro, hcigar, infinate. I have seen some ebay knock offs made from unknown pot metal and plating that reacts to juice.

the only way to learn bart is to buy. so clones are good, some are bad. i guess you just have to be prepared to spend until you know what's best. your local shop's clones could all be great or could all be duff. i buy certain products from certain vendors because i've learnt what good and guaranteed to work for me. so your're new? so you'll want everything now!! hmm, that's where it'll become expensive. after a while you'll learn to be patient. but go get what's available for immediate purchase in the meantime as you need to get on the go, you know.. but take note of the info and especially the links for your future purchases

I will say that I am certainly all for one that doesn't require a screwdriver to fill the tank properly... Can't believe someone thought that was a good idea... ever.

@Hobby Kid -> That makes so much sense - great advice. To be honest, I'm to the point now where I just want something that I can take huge pulls off of and get a huge, cool hit.

I have a T3D, T3S, ASpire CE5 - the coils are dead in a week and I feel like they clog up... (I set my V=4 and P=8) Plus they only hold 2-3mL of juice, so I need to carry a bottle in my bag and refill twice a day. I like a huge, cool and flavored vape. Thick and heavy. These lil baby tanks are not what I want - that's all I know, lol. But here I am $50 later without a tank I really love. I'd rather just buy the real one and know that I have a quality product that everyone seems to rave about, you know?

I have heard more neg in regarding air flow issues, some leaking.
20-30 spent on a clone if it leaks you are out 20-30 bucks and cut your teeth on the trouble shooting.

there's a little unknown add-on for the kayfun which eliminates the need to unscrew the bottom fill hole

i just saw your reply. how long you been vaping? i'm guessing you can rebuild coils and wick else you wouldn't have mentioned buying the Russian. Kayfun style tanks are the way to go but they do get through juice. I have no problem carrying a spare bottle with me, and battery. i've tried the extra long extension tubes for the kfl but they're too big and cause leaking. Below.

if your concern is using too much juice then make your own.

A dripper is what you'll get huge pulls from.
A 26650 mod like the Seven and a large 26650 TOBH or Stillare rda might suit you or you can use a 22mm dripper. you can buy 26650 batteries 5200mah which last a day+

Been vaping for two weeks. I feel like I can rebuild a coil but have never done it. Im sure its a skill whixh is perfected with practice. I just bought a clone kayfun for 35$. I had him coil and wick it for me. Works BEAUTIFULLY! Love it, so thanks for saving me 55 bucks! :)

Just gotta get some wicks and wire now... and one of the ipv2s!!! Holy shit.. the guy let me try his and WOW. BAD-ASS.

Nice one mate. There are ready made prewicked coils you can buy. I've bought loads for new vapers. You can use them in drippers. They takes seconds to fit! I've bought mine from fasttech as they're so cheap but you can get them elsewhere if you do a bit of googling and ask around. Here's a link to a thread I was chatting about it, it's from about the 8th-ish comment down and onwards, with the links to fasttech. Of you want to know anymore ask here or maybe start a new thread:

Thanks @Hobby Kid !!!!

Another question -> According to a thread I read, my MVP has an Ohm reader built in. Can I use this to avoid having to buy a standalone device? Apparently you just hold down both buttons!? #thoughts?

You're fine just using the ohm reader on your MVP.

Sent from the Otter Box around my Galaxy S4.

MVP is still a Worthy device.....

I use one in rotation, almost always w/ Russian 91% clone with coil 1.2 - 1.4 @ 10w Its a good vape !
IMHO once you get your building skills on your favorite topper, you can have a great vape without going 100w ...Lol !

Anyways.....

I wouldn't shell out a whole load of cash as a new vaper, not yet anywayz. It's a bit like when you first drive. You'll want a certain car, then you'll want a different car. You might get through a lot before you find the one you don't regret spending your money on.

Checking ohms on any mod is ok so long as you know 2 things:
1. It's accuracy
2. Whether it fluctuates.

It likely your mpv is authentic. Innokin is a good company. So don't worry.

As hobby pointed out it will give you a general reading nothing overly accurate.
Honest advice keep your coil above 1.0 to 1.1 as the lowest, 1.2 puts a bit of strain on the MVP.

Bart just a heads up. I use my MVP as my ohms meter. Just be sure to check the ohms reading before pushing the fire button. Lots of luck and welcome to the fun of juice and coil building. Always keep in mind should be more fun than science, and you get to decide.

I have an ipv2. I love it. I have found that if your tanks leaks at all it will seep into the battery compartment. I am probably going to seal mine using gasket stuff. Other than that and the tiny screws it's great. I change my battery vtc5 every 24 hrs. There are a whole slew of new vv/vw mods coming out. I would wait and research all the reviews and get your money's worth. Good luck.
