I will not make a decision yet, I'll wait for the Gem v2 to arrive first.
If they have released that little part to make the kayfun 5 a similar draw to the miniv3, it will be one of my next purchases. But so far i heard its very airy out of the box, unfortunate for us longtime fans of their classic draw.
Honestly, I don't mind that looser draw, I have a feeling I'd enjoy the K5. My first experience with the Kayfun was the 3.1. I'm sure it's a clone, but has the svoemesto markings and name on it. I've used it once. Can't quite get the hang of that one, nor the feel for it. I guess I need to play around with it more.It looks like the stock tip on the kayfun mini on the far left, but to my knowedge thats the only one that is stock. No idea about the petri, though.
I am a kayfun fanboy as well, the 3.1 was my first RTA. Now that thing was a pain to build, lol
I came into this thread resisting my urge to boast about the mini v3, im glad the conversation took that path naturally!
Ive been using it steadily for about 2 months, and i havent put it down. If they have released that little part to make the kayfun 5 a similar draw to the miniv3, it will be one of my next purchases. I just love that sucker and the whole forum knows, LOL.
Oh very cool
I know I should attach an apology, or disclaimer with those posts LOL!Yeah we do LOL.
Disclaimer... anyone tired of reading about my love for my GM, move along@Huckleberried ...regarding the goblin mini...what exactly is the difference between the original goblin mini and the goblin mini V2...
and just what is it about the tank that so enamors you towards it...if you dont mind...
thank you for your candor young lady...Disclaimer... anyone tired of reading about my love for my GM, move along
The original has the bottom screw fill. Most don't like that feature, it doesn't bother me. ALSO, it does happen to have a really STUPID drip tip set up, but I fumble through it because of the flavor. The flavor is fantastic in this little dude.
The drip tip problem throws many people off. It's not a standard 510 drip tip. It comes with a clear glass one, gets gross quickly, falls out easily, just a real hassle. It does come with a 510 drip tip adapter, but it's super wobbly. I've considered having that soldered on, actually. Finding friction fit drip tips has proven to be a chore, but I did find one at Crispy Caps. Super tough to get on there, but once you do...
View attachment 56933 Pretty, huh?
Then, if you want to remove it, prepare for battle. I mean serious battle. There are some flanged drip tips out there, that can be placed between the cap and chimney. I'd like to find something like that that didn't cost an arm, or leg, but I'm fiddling with some tips I have that might actually work.
The v2 is top full. It has a normal 510 drip tip. Flavor is just as fantastic from that one. It's SUPER finicky on wicking. If you don't get it just right, it leaks all over the place. I do use it, but it's not my first grab.
Now THAT is a really nice looking tank, based on google pics. Very nice.sxk corolla
Looks fantastic... one of favorite attys on looks. Now to just get my clone to stop jumping ohms!Since y'all showing your wares, this is the combo for today View attachment 57000 and btw, I really like the Gem v2.
Clones are all gone I believe. I can't find one anymore. I snagged the last one from LegendGadget, went back to get another and all gone. That setup looks great brewbear. Im still jealous of the Gem. Have you thought of trying mesh in it? One of the main perks for it IMO is that the Gem & the squapes are very mesh-friendly atomziers, due to the wick sitting horizontal instead of a traditional 'upside down U' wick that most RTA's require.
I think there is a Gem clone, i might pick one up and see if i like it enough for the authentic. Those cost some coin.
Never, my Hurris have never let me down in any significant way. No leaking, dry hits, etc. Great flavor, easy build, etc. Have never heard of that from anyone else either and I follow multiple hurri threads and vids. Call it a fluke unless it happens again.@ToolmanTexas
Have you or anyone else here have their hurricane pout juice out the airflow? I mean just like an open bottle? It happened to be the other day and I can't figure out why. I thought the tank was cracked bug it wasn't. I stripped it apart and cleaned it and even the air tube under the coil was full. Hasn't happened before or since, would just like to know if it's happened before.
those are autocorrect mistakes, I'm not drunk...lol
That's what I'm hoping.Never, my Hurris have never let me down in any significant way. No leaking, dry hits, etc. Great flavor, easy build, etc. Have never heard of that from anyone else either and I follow multiple hurri threads and vids. Call it a fluke unless it happens again.
Any chance an extreme temp change? That's what I'm hoping.
The KFMv3, on par, better or worse than the hurricane and squape? If you guys buy a KFMV3 clone in black make sure to get one that the chimney is completely black. I picked up one that the very bottom is not and when you use the juice control the silver shows. I didn't notice the difference in a couple of models so just an FYI. You can see it in the pics on FT.

On par with some advantages, The top fill and JFC are so simple, flavor is outstanding (small, tight deck, chimney and airflow for the win). The KFMv3, on par, better or worse than the hurricane and squape?
I remember you mentioning one that topped you list as a a new number one, but couldn't remember what one
Kayfuns are always cloned within weeks it seems.
How do you like that pico? ive always wanted a stealth mod. I might opt for it just because its cheap.
This is off topic, but this guy has always been my grail stealth mod. I just dont want to spend the money (its like 150 for this setup) because i know ill scratch it up if i take it around with me, but at the same time- whats the point of a stealth mod if it never leaves the house?

Edit: this isnt mine, if my post was confusing. But maybe one day
Thank you very much for that tip, i was not aware of the athena. I actually got a tesla stealth on impulse at a local vape shop, but the regulation not being user-controlled, and the internal battery bugged me. I ended up selling it for dirt cheap here on VU, lol
Also, i think im starting to weaken to the idea of getting a kayfun 5..
Wow, i didnt know they cloned the gizmo. Im hesitant because someone complained of massive voltage drop, but cool nonetheless. The athena interests me more, ill do some searching around for a good price.
I really wish i could use fasttech more often, they have great deals, but i waited over 2 months for a package once. I think if you place very small orders or even 1 thing at a time you have quicker shipping. Still, its the same reason i stopped ordering from Yaeliq. Im pretty patient, but i get antsy when i have a package in the mail for 1+ month(s)
Just pulled out the New Tobecco Kayfun 5 and to my horror one of the screws was torqued in very tight. Well lets say too tight. Any hints on getting this sob screw out. Every darn time something always happens that makes me hate rebuilding. Why couldn't the vape gods send me a good clone. I get the shittiest crap.
I have one working but I did try a better screwdriver. I emailed eciggity to ask for help.I think they should be aware of the products they are selling. I'm going to strip the screw before I can get it out it seems.Don't feel bad Artemis, the cockeyed sumbich at the tobeco factory tightened the screws on my k5 too. Just be careful and use a proper fitting screwdriver.
I'll try it. Thank you!You can try carefully warming it up a bit and than tossing it into the freezer. The expand/contract might help loosen it up.
If is got a head on it that's raised up above the posts you could try vise grips or if you can't find any, try a pair of pliers but hold them real tight. If it dont budge, try heating only the post a little bit then retry the vise grips/pliers.Update: before I throw the K5 out the window (after trying the above suggestions) I'm going let my hubs take a look. At the very least he might be able to reem the frinkin screw out. I'll just have to look to see if I have any extras.
I pulled out the Kayfun 3 mini. No problems yet. Coil 1.4 I have to watch a video on how to fill it.
I'm on a mission to do this and he won't be home for hours. Damm
Okay, I'll try that in a few minutes. Thank you!If is got a head on it that's raised up above the posts you could try vise grips or if you can't find any, try a pair of pliers but hold them real tight. If it dont budge, try heating only the post a little bit then retry the vise grips/pliers.
