Like post Apocalyptic. NiceI like the grunge feel that came out on this one.
Dammmnnnn. That's an awesome shot.Patina forming on a copper Broadside clone
I hope it turns out well. I had a hard time getting the fish net to stay down. But if you Cork both holes you may be able to pin it to the Cork.Gonna try a dragon skin patina today through tomorrow. I hope it doesn't come out shitty.

Wow....awesomeCopper Raptor clone
Thanks! It didn't come out how I wanted it to, but once I got over it I think I like it now. It definitely hits just as good as the authentic T6 Raptor I have.Wow....awesome

I'm trying the patina.. got a mood drying as we speak.. doubt it'll be as pretty as yours but I'll try.. what if i dont like, any way to remove and try again? Thanks! Ok, cool. Loving your work..especially the defend able...happens to be a mod i shelfed so practicing on that...thanks and will share a pic...if im happyYup, just sand it down and try something different. That's the cool thing - it's not necessarily permanent unless you want it to be. Here are a couple that I did that I wasn't happy with, so I sanded them down and redid them. I guess they weren't really all that bad the first round, but I figured I could do better. After all, we are our own worst critics.
Before and after:
Before and after:
Yes, salt was used...acetone like my wifes vail polish remover?....i have 150 gr paper...i can get finer tomorrow. No problem there... looks ok tho? Or should i redo?I'd say about an hour. The best thing to do is give it an acetone bath. This gets rid of the excess salt, while leaving the patina intact. You can do it under a light stream of water, but it will wash out some of the patina. If you didn't sprinkle with salt, then just sand and or rinse to get your desired effect, let it dry (if necessary) again, then give it 2 light clear coats. Let it cure, sand again, then a heavier clear cot. Let that one cure, then sand/polish.
Do you have high grit polishing paper/cloths? Use 6,000-12,000 for the best gloss possible.
So the nail polish remiver and a light sanding and a ligh coat?Your base looks great - I think you'll be happy with the end result.
I dont do fb, youre my yoda in this one bro...Yup. Then another coat.
Check out the Facebook Patina Mods group
I meant yoda as in your thread...i know we all have lives...sorry if that came off the wrong way...Dude, I don't mind helping, but I don't have time to be your source. The Facebook group is a great place with lots of information. It's free. Also look at YouTube. There's a lot more out there than I can possibly offer you.
Wow, Chef....bad ass lookin Mod....!!Ready for a clear coat (or 3).
